If you are in town for business or pleasure this is the right Hotel, excellent price, great great breakfast included , incomparable location, very clean, friendly staff, the best in Cd. Juarez Mexico!
July 13, 2015 we only stayed one night and i love it.
internet was better than the previous hotel stayed at. I could Skype/facetime without interruptions or weak signal.
i stayed in this hotel for two reasons, is was closest to the medical center, consulate and the other one. i’m a slow walker, lol and it took me 10min to get to the medical center :P that shows how close it is.
Second and most important, i felt safe knowing that everything was close to me and i didn't have to travel or take a taxi- i could just cross the street and get a Starbucks and come back to my room and relax.
Tip- taxis are expensive so this hotel will safe you come cash.
Also, across the street is mcdonals, liverpool, starbucks and at the front of the hotel- wendys and dennys- everything good was close to us.
Food, i didn’t see any restaurant inside the hotel, but, we got to order food from dennys, great american steakhouse and barrigas - omg, made our stay delicious.
Our room was simple, clean, big and had an awesome view to the city.
i will definitely come here if i have to go back to cuidad juarez.
OH, and i was a hot day, and our room was nice thanks to the ac, unlike my previous luck.
Everything was perfect.
Really nice Hotel and Good Service, Great Breakfast and the location is remarkable.
The Hotel is perfect for Bussiness trip, is next to the border and close to the Juarez Airport.
this is the best hotel of the lot for consulate business. Easy to walk to consulate, physical exam and bio metrics locations. I felt very safe the entire time. Great mall across the street. Star bucks right down the street. Dennys. Great mexican resturant next to hotel. STAFF IS VERY,VERY NICE !!!!
you can't go wrong here !!!
If you plan to go to the U.S. Consulate, this is probably the best you can get.
The mall is just in front of you, consulate and medical exams are 200 meter from there. Also they offerer a shuttle which you can separate previously to go wherever you want (limitations).
Also they can take you to the airport, and you will save almost 30 dollars of taxi.
They have all you need, computers with Internet service, a printer and a photocopy machine. You don't need to go another place.
I think the service s good, I went to the gym one day and suffered an injured. Somehow in the multi-gym machine, a bar was hanging there without being latched. I did not noticed it and starting with leg exercises, suddenly I felt a big pain in my head, the bar fell directly to my head, causing a bump. I thought I was bleeding but thank god it was only the pain.
There is an opportunity area: in the main lobby you can smell the food of the morning buffet until mid day. Sometimes is really strong. If you use perfume or cologne make sure you use enough so the scent will not be vanished by the food odor.
My wife and I just returned from Juarez, where we stayed at the hotel. The hotel is very clean, comfortable, and safe (as long as we stayed there - about a week). The consulate is within walking distance and so are the clinics that must be visited. Next to the hotel you'll find a brand new hospital and good restaurants to dine. Across the avenue, there is a major mall and movie theater, which makes for a less than boring trip while you await your consular visit. The price for a good room was less than $100 USD per night - which was also great.
So the location is unbeatable, it is in the new part of town near the US consulate, right in front of Las Misiones Mall, you have plenty options for dining there, there is a Barrigas restaurant on a side of the hotel, and many other options within 5 minutes walking distance.
About the hotel, well, the staff is not courteous at all, I had to ask more than once to replace my key which was not working and they seemed to do it unwillingly, on my first day i took a plate with toast and left the plate in the room, so that the cleaning lady would take it, well i came back in the afternoon and it still was there... it was removed until the 2nd day only, also the breakfast area looked dirty, crumbs all over the floor, the 2nd day there was no bread for toast, i asked 2 people, and went into the room and didn't come out until i had left, there was also no coffee for more than 10 minutes, come on! no coffee!!
the rooms are spacious and overall comfortable, but the shower design is awful, there is no place in the shower to put the soap, so you have to put it on top of the toilet tank, also the water spilled out of the shower since the curtain is barely at the level of the containment...
so overall not a good experience, next time i might look at another option near by since the location is really great...
Excellent location right across from a nice mall with great restaurants near by. Hotel room is clean and comfortable. The breakfast buffet is great as well. It is great hotel for the price. It has free internet, parking and good cable choices.
I stayed at this location on business as part of a trip to Juarez. The property is centrally located near the US Consulate, businesses, and a large, upper-scale mall. The property is clean and well kept as was my room. Staff are friendly and have decent English skills. The property has a fitness center (not well equipped) and a small pool that is roughly 10 feet long by 8 feet wide. There is a good Mexican Food restaurant next door and other, fast-food level restaurants across the street at they mall. There is also a Starbucks about 11 yards down and across the street from the property. Overall, a good stay.
I stayed at this hotel for 11 days while on a business trip. This hotel is located in a busy commercial area near the US Consulate and across a busy highway from a mall and Starbucks. It is within a 10 minute walk of a very good restaurant -- La Diana. The area is very safe.
The rooms are quite large and the beds are very comfy. The furnishings look a little on the cheap side but are functional. The bathrooms seem to have been renovated quite recently, with spacious granite countertops and rectangular sinks. However, there are some rough edges: the first room I was in had no plug for the sink; the second room I was in was also missing a plug! One was installed but really, what's the deal with missing plugs? The first room I was in was missing a light bulb and another was missing -- the hotel staff responded fairly quickly but it is hard to understand why these where not checked out before a guest arrived. The bath towels are old -- one was pretty raggedly with the selvage coming off, and the shower curtain was torn all along the top.
The gym is very basic -- an elliptical trainer, a treadmill and a seated bicycle machine, plus a sort of universal machine and some very light hand weights. Most have seen better days -- in fact the elliptical broke completely. The hotel does offer passes to a Total gym across the highway, which was nice, but since my employer did not allow us to use it for safety reasons, it was not useful. Holiday Inn really needs to invest in decent equipment.
The breakfast is pretty basic as well, and supplies of fruit and cereal ran low or were none existent for several days. Whoever is handling supplies really needs to check that out. Thank goodness for Starbucks.
However, most of the staff with whom I dealt -- including the front desk staff, a very nice man who responded to my constant calls for assistant and the young man who actually did the work -- were all lovely and accommodating.
I think this is a perfectly fine hotel for a short stay, but for a more extended, some of the hotel's shortcomings really became more than a little annoying.
