I should have known from the pictures, but didn't realize how low the beds actually were. If you want a standard height bed, this is not the place. Older hotel- remodeled; not renovated. However, very easy to sleep and close to LAX.

READ THE SMALL PRINT CAREFULLY. This hotel is NEAR the airport, it DOES NOT have a regular shuttle from the airport and is NOT the Holiday Inn Express that picks up at LAX. Yes you can get them to pick you up if you call them and then wait 20 - 30 minutes. The hotel is a decent, clean place, fine in and of itself to stay there if you need to get to the airport quickly. The staff at the front desk were pleasant enough. I asked about the airport shuttle when I arrived and they told me they had one which ran every 30 mins. After a week of staying in queen beds with different family members, on mattresses of many different types, Holiday Inn had the coziest KING of them all! It was the perfect way to end out last night of the trip with a huge room, large and clean bathroom and big screen TV! The bed couldn't have been more wonderful and the room had a mini fridge and microwave […] for convenience! Lot's of places to eat within walking distance. We walked a few blocks down to a Little Caesars for a hot and ready pizza and brought it back to our room. The hot buffet breakfast was AMAZING!!!! If you just need an airport hotel for a layover, this is a good option. Good, clean, affordable, and not too far away. This hotel was so nice! At first we thought since it was kind of close to LAX it was going to be in a bad area and be somewhat run down. It wasn't! Well, lots of neighborhoods in LA are bad, but this was fine. They had a wonderful full continental breakfast complete with cinnamon rolls, sausage, eggs, danishes, oatmeal, cereal, toast, yogurt, fruit, […] hot drinks, orange juice, etc. The staff was very friendly (and bilingual if that helps you) and helpful. The room was clean, big and very new looking. We stay in hotels often and this one was one of the nicest yet. We wished we were staying in this hotel longer and not switching to one closer to our destination. There's free protected, gated parking too. The downside was you need to either come to the hotel from the correct direction or you have to do a U-turn to get to it. But it's LA! What do you expect? It also has a free airport shuttle. Great hotel for the money. We stayed only one night, but the customer service staff was very accommodating, really fast WiFi and very comfortable bed. Simple and comfortable rooms, nice size bathroom and shower. We will be back when in Cali again :)

I found this hotel with friendly staff who were telling where to park and where to find drinks at 3am. The surrounding locations were not too bad. The only thing was that the hotel quality was not at the level of Holiday Inn instead of a 3+ star motel that you won't find too much surprise or too much disappointment either.

The hotel has a shuttle service to/from LAX, which was the major reason we chose it. Their breakfast leaves much to be desired--the room was packed, and the lines for the buffet were very poorly organized. Standing in line for 15 minutes when they're out of most of the hot items and the juice dispenser is broken just isn't worth it.
