My husband and I have not traveled to Costa Rica before and didn't want to stay in a fancy compound so we picked this hotel from the internet. It was convenient from the Liberia airport (about an hour) and 10 minutes to Tamarindo Beach. We traveled quite a bit in the Nicoya peninsula and felt the hotel was an oasis to come back to. Good breakfast, however […] no meat, just rice & beans, eggs, cheese and fruit! Room was basic but comfortable, air conditioner and ceiling fan, and daily maid service was topnotch. The pool was beautiful and the gounds were beautiful too. We rented a car and didn't use the shuttles. Service at the front desk and at the restaurant was very good, most people could speak some English. Read more

The pictures that I viewed on-line were somewhat deceiving. The room was just that, a room and nothing else. There was a bed, a television and a chair. The room was not inviting and it did not even have wash cloths for bathing. No coffee maker, microwave or small refrigerator. We stayed 6 days and if we could of checked out before we would have.

Probably because of the low season the restaurant of the hotel did not open even on Saturday night. The rest of the services are pretty well.

After reading several rave reviews we decided on staying a couple nights here. I was impressed by the pool and that was it. The room itself was not very clean and our friends actually had bugs in their bed and a broken window. We asked for help closing the window and when the guy who was helping disapeared for more than 20 minutes we went looking for […] him to find him eating food in the lobby. He then sent a very scary mam with a swastika tattoo to finish the job, like I said he was scary and unfriendly. There was no place to get food on location except for breakfast and no room service, they did construction by the pool and the rooms during the day. All in all a motel 6 with a dope pool. My girlfriend and I went to Costa Rica for the week between Christmas and New Years. It's a busy travel time and we booked hotels in November, so our options were fairly limited. The hotel is a 20-minute drive to Tamarindo and a (much worth it) 30-minute drive to Playa Avenillas (which was gorgeous - highly recommended!). The rooms were ok: small, outdated furnishings, small bathroom, but they get the job done. It's sort of in the middle of nowhere; you have to drive to Tamarindo for food, bars, entertainment, etc. All said, it's a suitable choice if nothing closer to the beach is available. The hotel is 20 minutes away from the town and beach of Tamarindo. But by the time we left (after 3 nights)we decided it was fine due to the great service and free shuttle. The on-site restaurant was also fun enough for us to visit nightly.

This hotel is very homey, off of the main road (so it's easy to find) in a central location to get to the sorrounding beaches. The place is on the quieter side, not like Tamarindo, but the latter is only about 10 mins drive. The rooms are quite spacey and clean. Overall we had a great exeprience. In general Best Western hotels never dissapoint us.

Though I would recommend the hotel, there was a pool party lasting till well after midnight. When I wanted to complain about the noise the reception was closed (by midnight). The security guard on duty finally broke up the party. The hotel should enforce their rules and protect their guests and not leave it up to them.

What a fantastic hotel. I loved every minute of my stay. Without doubt the most helpful, kind and courteous staff I have met in all my travels worldwide and they simply couldn’t do enough for me. Manager Enrique (aka Kike) was in particular terrific recommending places to visit, organizing taxis, my hire car, you name it, nothing was too much trouble. […] Rooms have a nice lodge type feel with high ceilings and wooden beams. The rooms are clean and fully equipped with A/C, cable TV , comfortable beds and I felt right at home. Breakfast very good, with fresh fruit, juice, coffee and toast or traditional cooked breakfast in attractive palm thatched restaurant by the pool. I was very well looked after. Grounds are nicely kept, with pool, gardens and shaded areas to relax. Location pays big dividends at night with wonderful dark skies for star spotting. I will be back. Hotel con una piscina enorme, muy bonito, con habitaciones con porche, directamente delante de la piscina, amplias, limpias y nuevo: buen desayuno incluido. Bien situado si tienes coche, a diez minutos de playa conchal, brasilito, o a cinco de tamarindo. Nos permitieron salir a la una del hotel. Muy buena relación calidad-precio.

Contrairement à ce qui est annoncé dans le descriptif l'hôtel n'a ni restaurant, ni lounge bar, ni bar, pas même de mini bar dans les chambres et cela manque cruellement alors qu’il fait si chaud. Il n'y a pas non plus de miroir de maquillage, ni de cafetière/bouilloire. […] Les petits déjeuner sont minimalistes : deux toasts avec beurre et confiture, un jus d’orange et une assiette de fruits. Il n'y a aucun rangement fermé pour mettre ses affaires dans la chambre seulement des étagères dans la salle bain. Il n'y a aucun siège, chaise ou fauteuil confortable.
