Would not stay here again. Its a hotel for the locals, would not recommend it for foreign travellers.

This is for sure NOT the best hotel I've been to. But given the price, it's fair. There's no LAN in the rooms. Only wireless, and it will cost you. No dining room. You get coupons to eat at the nearby restaurant. They'll rip you off for the hotel taxi, and for money exchange - so try to avoid it if you can (like ordering MERO cab).

Very basic hotel, few fringes, in central city. Breakfast was off the menu at the restaurant next door; not the buffet as advertised. But, it was OK. Best part was free internet access; not usually encountered.

This is an excellent hotel and is way better than I expected for the price I paid. The staff were friendly, helpful and welcoming and the room was perfect. We were very happy with the hotel. We had a few problems, for example a noisy extraction fan below our rooms was a disturbance, but when we mentioned it to reception, it was dealt with promptly. All in all a pleasant experience, value for money, and we have already booked rooms for our return.

The hotel really should be a 2 star. The room is poor and the whole hotel is run down. The reception deliberately mislead us by saying that they had ordered a taxi saying that they would call us when it arrived. We came down early and the taxi had not been ordered. Taxi companies told us 30 min delay, which was annoying since I went to reception in […] the morning to sort all this out. The Bangalore gate has a good feel about it especially in the entrance foyer with the large Ganesha statue. The hotel has a great restaurant attached with a good selection of Indian cuisine. The location is central, but the traffic out side is intense and loud so request a room at the back of the hotel and it is lovely and quiet.

That's the biggest reason I'm giving them an overall 4. View from the window was the wall of the adjacent building. Food ordered from the room took half an hour to arrive, but tasted quite decent. In my hurry I had forgotten my toiletries, and was very pleased to find complimentary dental kit as well as a shaving kit. Even the Pride doesn't do that, […] so kudos to Bangalore Gate! Most of all, I'm grateful for their help in helping me find a doctor. I fell sick and had a fever. I first asked the desk to find me a doctor on Sunday, which they couldn't. I requested again on Monday morning, which they did do. I suppose a budget hotel that I pay about 2K for can't be expected to provide much more. It is unfair to compare this service with that of a five star hotel. So, in its class, I think this is a better hotel to stay at than say, a Ginger. Read more

Hôtel bruyant, chambre peu accueillante, salle de bains ancienne, matelas très dure. Petit déjeuné très léger et local. Personnel agréable et très serviable par contre. Prix élevé pour ce type d'hôtel sur Bangalore. Les photos enjolivent la situation réelle. Surtout ne restez pas sur Bangalore !!!!
