Tropicana Caribe by EVRentals - Puerto Plata

This was a beautiful place with comfortable rooms and lots to do. Great time for a great price! Some reviewers complain about the food. However, if you stick with Dominican style food (pork, chicken, rice and beans) you'll love it.

We stayed here in February. The cabana we were in was Caracol. I would highly recommend this for a romantic trip. It is very quiet and secluded. It is about 5 minutes from Sosua and Cabarete (on either side of the hotel). It takes about 20 minutes to get there from the Puerto Plata airport. I would suggest renting a car as there are many restaurants and beaches to explore. That said, if you don't want to rent a car, the restaurant in Natura Cabana is excellent! The beach is very secluded and there is hardly anyone there. My husband and I walked 5 minutes up the beach and then we had that area pretty much to ourselves. The staff at Natura Cabana really makes you feel at home and they are all very nice. Our room was always cleaned while we were out and was very nice. Just as a note - no TV's or phones in the room, but there is internet.

My stay at this hotel was excellent and the staff was friendly and respectful. The hotel in general was very clean and it's location is within good proximity to most stores, tourist sites, and activities. I will definitely return to this hotel whenever I plan on visiting in the Dominican Republic in the near future.

Beautiful, tranquil hotel on the outskirts of Cabarete. The owner is super-nice, the pool is beautiful. there's a great view. What more could you ask for? Highly recommended!

Make sure its the 5th / executive floor. Highly recommended for Biz and even Family travel.
