Overall my wife and I were disappointed upon arrival. All description and pictures we saw of the hotel made us think that it was actually going to be a good hotel. When we checked in and got to our room all talk of recent renovations were not apparent, the walls were extremely paper thin and we felt like we had to whisper so others would not hear. LOVED the accommodations and the location! One of those rooms where you are planning your next stay while you are there. The massage was just the icing on the cake! Try the shrimp sandwich and micro brews at Bill's Tavren Brewhouse up the street too if you can pry yourself from the beach.

The Hotel Property was going through a renovation. I stayed in the area not yet renovated but had a pleasant experience. The staff was very friendly and accomodating. The meal I had at their Surfside Restaurant was very good. Great venue overlooking the Pacific. The indoor pool looked great with a nice size hot tub. This place is way overpriced and has WAY TO MANY STARS! Smelled ABSOLUTELY horrible! Room was like stepping into a motel room from the 80's.... bedding, couch, chairs, etc from the 80's! I was scared to stay there so my daughter and I left 45 minutes after checking in. Super unfriendly front desk attendant. To get to the ocean you have to walk to the […] outside perimeter of the motel and then across lawn in front of all the rooms to get to the stairway that is located directly in front of the lobby. (front desk attendant barked at us when we approached the exit door to go to the beach and told us to go around hotel) Okay!! I didn't mind the walk as much as I loved her pleasant personality! Come on people if your going to charge this for a room at least update and maintain the motel like you did the pool and restaurant! Their cancellation policy should have been a huge red flag! Who requires 45 day prior to stay cancellation! Especially when you book the room 14 days before your stay! Hhhmmmm..... Beware of this dive! Read more

We were actually pleasantly surprised to find a full kitchen in our room! The view was beautiful and the restaurant menu was phenomenal. I had the stuffed pork chops which came with an apple side dish better than the dessert I had eaten at a previous stay on our vacation. They have changed their full menu to a menu of 4 items after 9pm. That was very disappointing considering we had to drive back into town to try & locate a meal after 9pm. We stayed there because it had a restaurant so when we had to adjust to this new change it was highly disappointing.

The king room with full kitchen actually works out well if you want to save yourself some money by cooking quick easy meals (particularly breakfast). Gulls are very eager to finish anything you have leftover.

It's an old place, that given, the floors creak some and the beds are not top shelf. BUT the location of this place is great. has it's own easily accessible beach, only 15 minutes from nearby casino/golf. Pool hours eliminate kids in late evening (very nice). Could have used a light by the phone. The room smelled like smokers had used it and then they tried to cover the stink with air freshener. Ugh. The weather was foggy, but loved being right on the beach and away from civilization. Breakfast lacked some hot fresh stuff, but we made do with the microwave and what was available.

Nice, clean hotel with best feature being the beach and ocean about 10 feet from your sliding door patio. We slept with the door ajar and loved the surf sounds. It is a bit of a drive from the main road (especially late at night as we did), but worth it once you are there.

This hotel is right on the beach, it has wonderful views. The room was clean, the pool was great. BUT, the walls are paper thin. We stayed two nights, I hardly got any rest at all. I could hear the man aboe us snoring. When they would walk around the roof sounded like it was going to cave in. I tried to take a nap the second day and was awoken every […] ten minutes or so because you can hear everything in the other rooms around you. I finally took toliet paper and put it in my ears that night so I could sleep. However, I still awoke in the morning because of the noise. It must be a old hotel with paper thin walls. If you want peace and quiet your better off sleeping in a tent on the beach! Read more
