"Lovely B&B, great innkeepers."
We searched for a B&B close to everything on the cape and found the Ashley Manor. We planned to do a whale watch out of Hyannis which was very close by. The innkeepers, Pat and Vince showed us around the manor and told us the history of the house...just enough information to be fun and interesting without getting a long history lesson. There is a lovely sitting room with complimentary cordials of brandy, sherry and port, along with a fireplaced comfortable living room with local restaurant menus, reading material, and lots of brochures for activities in the area. Our room, the King George Suite was lovely with a very comfortable king bed, reclining wing chairs, flat screen tv over the fireplace and jacuzzi. Every little detail was thought of...wine glasses, in room cofee, refigerator with waters, chocolates.... We couldn't have asked for more thoughtful and fun innkeepers. Vince and Pat served delicious 3 course breakfasts outside on the terrace overlooking their beautiful backyard and kept us entertained with their stories. We felt like we made new friends and we hated to leave. The inn is clean, centrally located to everything, great restaurants and beaches nearby. Pat and Vince will go above and beyond to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable.

"My First Bed and Breakfast"
This isn't first time I've stayed at a bed and breakfast and it was a wonderful experience!! Vince and Pat were top notch from start to finish. The breakfasts were fantastic, starting each morning with some of the best muffins I've ever had. The room was spacious and cozy.

Ashley Manor was perfect! The house was beautiful and historic, but did not lack any comforts of a modern day facility. Pat and Vince were friendly, kind, engaging, and helpful. We will be back, as soon as we can!!

"Stunning B&B in Barnstable"
Ashley Manor is a lovingly restored historic home (portions of which date to the 1600s) that sits atop a hill in Barnstable, and is run by a lovely couple that are attentive, welcoming, and gracious hosts. It is a very central location and in easy reach of Hyannis, Falmouth, Chatham, and Wellfleet. Our room was spacious and nicely appointed, and the hilltop location caught those wonderful cape breezes. Breakfasts were a real treat.

My wife and I chose Ashley Manor to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Pat and Vince made it a very special occasion. Their breakfasts were better than upscale restaurant quality. The accommodations were so comfortable. They went above and beyond to see that our stay was perfect. If we return to the Cape, we will definitely stay at Ashley Manor!

"Fantastic B&B!"
Ashley Manor is the epitome of what a B&B should be. The room was comfortable and clean and the innkeepers, Pat and Vince, were fantastic hosts. The common areas of the house are lovely. Breakfast was superb each day. Ashley Manor is located in Barnstable village, which is very picturesque and quiet and has some great walking streets. We will definitely stay here again in the future.

"Outstanding B&B!"
02/01/16 Oceanstate3 Rhode Island
From the moment we arrived we felt very welcome. Vince and Pat are wonderful innkeepers and genuinely care about their guests' experience. We were greeted with a smile and tour of the inn. The tour included a very impressive history of the house, as well as history of the local area. The freshly made breakfast was incredible! Vince and Pat are happy to provide recommendations for any type of activity, restaurant, etc. The room (King George's Suite) was immaculate, very spacious, and beautifully decorated, a fireplace in room made it so special on a cold winter evening. The attention to detail at Ashley Manor makes all the difference. Without a doubt we will return!

"Homey B&B with hosts eager to please"
12/23/15 BrenBren007 RI
We spent a couple nights in August. We stayed in the Ashley Suite. It is separate from the house and is very quiet. We were glad we chose this room. Each room at this inn has their own designated parking spot. Easy to tell where to park. The inn itself is off a main road but the entrance to the driveway is a little hidden, so if you drive too fast, you might miss it. Vince and Pat are very nice hosts. They seem to enjoy what they do. Their breakfasts are tasty and a little on the small side than what we're used to at a B&B but we didn't leave hungry so no real complaints there. Vince always tells you what he puts in front of you so you know what you're eating. Even if it is just a muffin. Good service. They try their best and I'm sure they would help with any request that is within reason. The inn's location is within driving distance of many attractions yet far enough to avoid most of the Cape traffic. The only thing different we find is that they have a small dining room to share breakfast with other patrons. The outside patio has only three tables, also to share with another couple if busy. We didn't mind this at all. But just warning other couples who don't like to socialize. It would make for an awfully awkward breakfast if you eat your breakfast and stay silent next to another couple. Overall, a good value for the Cape. We would stay here again if in Barnstable.

"Best B&B you'll ever stay at"
12/21/15 Scott L Acushnet, Massachusetts
We were greeted at the door by the Innkeepers Pat and Vince and right away felt right at home. My wife and I were giving a tour and a short history on the Inn. We stayed in The King George. The room was impeccable. Not one detail was over looked. The three course gourmet breakfast was prepared fresh, and I must say Vince my wife is still talking about your scones.

"Wonderful spot"
11/17/15 DianeL727 Lincroft, New Jersey
This is a charming, historic, and lovely bed-and-breakfast in a great location. The innkeepers were cordial, and offered a lot of information on activities on the Cape and, also, on local spots in Barnstable. We stayed in Phinney's Terrace, a 2nd floor room with an outdoor porch -- a bonus since the weather was warm for November. The private bathroom is modern and there is also a log-burning fireplace. A great place for a getaway.

"Perfect spot for a visit to Cape Cod"
11/05/15 margarita200 Easton, Maryland
Excellent Inn with large rooms and comfortable beds. It's also quiet so you'll get a good night's sleep. Location is good for getting around the Cape as it's centrally located. Vince and Pat will help with directions and tips for visiting all the towns. Good ideas for shopping as well. Breakfasts were delicious and very pleasant. Inn is located in Barnstable, not on the ocean but beaches are easy to get to. A lot of businesses and restaurants are closed on the Cape after Labor Day.

"A Must Stay"
10/29/15 Pat F Saint Charles, Illinois
From the time you enter this inn, some parts dating back to the 1600's, you immediately feel at home. Vince and Pat are so welcoming and their hospitality is second to none. The inn is very comfortable and we spent time in the parlor chatting with other guests while enjoying a brandy or port. Breakfast was excellent and prepared fresh by the inn keepers. We had ferry tickets for 9:00am and couldn't make breakfast so Pat fixed us a "to-go" breakfast so we could eat on the ferry...very nice of them! They are also very knowledgable of things to do on the cape and must visit restaurants. Their recommendations for first timers to the cape were very helpful! This is why we prefer to stay at B&B's.

"Nice B&B in the Village"
10/26/15 RichardDianaT San Diego, California
We stayed at Ashley Manor 10/22 - 10/24/2015. It met all the expectations we had read about. The owners were very helpful. The rooms comfortable, clean and well equipped. They gave us the names of restaurants in town that they liked. Gave good directions that were better than Google Maps directions to places we wanted to visit. Breakfast was very good and filling. We would recommend Ashely Manor for your stay in Barnstable Village.

"Great Accomodations on the Cape"
10/19/15 Bill H Mount Airy, Maryland
My wife and I spent 3 nights at Ashley Manor week before last and had a wonderful time. Vince and Pat were great hosts. Very knowledgeable of where to eat and things to do on the Cape. Our room, the Canterbury Suite was very nice, the bed was very comfortable, and the community fridge with bottled water for each room was a nice touch. Breakfast each morning was delicious. If we ever make it back to the Cape, Ashley Manor is where we will want to stay. FYI, If you have never been to the Cape, some establishments (restaurants, especially), close down for the winter after Columbus Day.

"Wonderful hospitality from our host and hostell"
10/16/15 Doreen E Moreton-in-Marsh, United Kingdom
A perfect place to start our New England holiday. Having arrived by coach (thinking we could get round Cape Cod by local buses from the Park and Ride) Pat and Vince made our getting around so easy. It was never too much trouble for them to make suggestions and to take and fetch us whenever it was required. They were simply the best and our party of four could not thank them enough. The accommodation was luxurious, the breakfasts superb. The hostess tray with Brandy, Port and Sherry, to which I can add Vince's lovely cookies was a lovely surprise. It rained all the time we were on Cape Cod and to get into the Jacuzzi bath was so relaxing. The house was so interesting historically. We felt so at home there and should we return to the area we know where we shall be staying. Well worth organising dates to fit in with when Vince and Pat have vacancies.

"One of best!"
10/14/15 CumbriaRoadtripper Cumbria
This was the penultimate stop in our trip around New England and had much to do to match the beautiful places we'd already visited. We arrived later than expected after a long drive in the rain, getting soaked walking around Boston and then stuck in traffic on the final leg of the journey. Accordingly, we were very pleased to be met by Vince at the door who helped carry bags up stairs to our room - the Federal Room. He then helped us choose somewhere to eat, without being asked, and showed us round the ground floor rooms and, crucially, where the complimentary drinks were! A perfect welcome. Our room was extremely comfortable and the bed was equipped with some if the softest sheets ever slept under. Breakfast on each of our three mornings was delicious and served "family style" giving a chance to chat to other guests as well as our hosts, Pat and Vince. This, we enjoyed very much but can see that it might not be to everyone's taste. As I said at the beginning, this was one of a number of excellent places we stayed in during our trip but it perhaps trumped the others through a combination of ever available (but only when required) hosts and attention to detail. The complimentary brandy, tea, coffee and cookies, the bottle of water and chocolates by the bedside, the plentiful toiletries and the array of books and magazines in the comfortable lounge all contributed to make the place special. Barnstable is a great base for exploring Cape Cod and Ashley Manor would be hard to beat as a place to return to after a day sightseeing. Pat and Vince know how to make guests feel at home and if we do return to the area we'll certainly go back to Ashley Manor.
