Situated in Golden, The Silk Pincushion is in the mountains and close to Colorado School of Mines, Coors Brewery, and Buffalo Bill Museum and Grave. Additional area attractions include Red Rocks Amphitheater and Colorado Mills Mall.

"This is a great place to stay"
Judy and Dennis are incredibly hospitable. I have a lot of dietary restrictions, but they know more about being gluten-free than I do. I was late the first night, and extended my stay unexpectedly -- not a problem! The breakfasts were fabulous, and the owners are good company. The house is impeccably clean, and a good mix of old (Victorianna) and new […] (bathroom). Judy leaves all sorts of homemade goodies out for anytime snacking, as well as tea, etc. I was able to walk everywhere I wanted to go in Golden. I enjoyed my stay at the Silk Pincushion. The house is very pleasant, as were the proprietors. My bed was especially comfortable, and I slept very well. The antique furnishings and quilts are well done, and our hosts' recital of the house's history was very interesting. Breakfast was tasty and presented well. "Skunked!! Don't go here!!!"
#1 Manager called to say going out to dinner, take care of yourself...no greeting. #2 Plug in air fresheners everywhere...got REALLY sick, realized there was one in our bathroom at 2AM. "Great place to stay"
We had a great time staying here and meeting the owners. A clean, well built older home. Two blocks down and two blocks over is within easy walking distance of the main drag. Far enough away that it's quiet. Great breakfast. We would stay here again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The bed was extremeyl sagged in the middle. The residence had 2 cats and there was a cat odor. The host was not friendly or helpful. I would recommend this hotel for one and if you are a cat lover.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Time to buy new beds and matresses"
The bed was older than I and the matress too. Way too soft as it had a dip in the center before i sat on th bed. they need new matresses. The breakfast everyday was great. she cooked me somehting different everyday. they were really nice.Genuine Expedia guest review
