This Days Inn was a dump! The neighborhood was extremely seedy and hotel was not in a good location. The carpet in the room was dirty and was falling apart. the bed was sloping. I could have stayed in a nice hotel for a few dollars more. Thank goodness, I was only there for one night!

The neighborhood looked a little sketchy at first but we didn't experience anything that warranted concern. Staff was extremely warm and friendly and efficiently covered all the bases with our check in and check out. Continental breakfast was better than average.

Staff went out of their way to accommodate me, which included an early check in. Service, Personal and Room was refreshing and clean especially in view of the previous night I'd spent at a nearby Motel "dump" (which is not listed in Hotels.com). I will be back, as it is not too far away from NYC airports. AFP

Was a quick trip and only stayed ovenight. It was clean, quiet, and comfortable. Not sure about the neighborhood. It was dark and it seemed to be in an industrial/residential area.

Room was clean. Walls VERY thin. Had to leave the room due to party happening in the next room. called the desk to ask them to stop- 1 hour later party still going on at 1 AM. So called the desk to tell t\hem i will be sleeping in my car 9 needed sleep fro 6 hour drive home into a blizzard). It looked full because all teh parking was taken up so did […] not think they had another room. Apparently everyone was in the party room and there WAS another room- so the clerk came & took me out of my car and gave me another room. Did get some sleep finally. Another reviewer said: No elevator for this 2 story building which makes it difficult with bags in tow AND the stairs are metal and outside so when the rain freezes I can see many elderly or even partially handicapped people with neuropathy feet falling. It is just off Rte 27 but down a small side street ( almost an alley) and a warehouse out back. Looked like you were in Queens. a little scary at night with the shady people at the party. Would not call this a safe place for a single traveler. too out of the way of people to help you. The lobby has cameras watching the outside. BUT while you are being mugged you have no idea if they left for a second to help someone else and no one is witnessing the event or calling 911. They have a window heater /ac unit but it wasn't warm enough- this was in February I visited. Basically clean with nice people on the desk. WiFi was helpful. I would not wish this place on my worst enemy. The room smelled like a dead body and they tried to cover it up with Lysol. I let them know that I tried to air the room out for 20 minutes and it did not help. They moved me to the room next door and it was the same thing. There were all kinds of ghetto trash hanging around my car when I was leaving […] and the place seemed like a party/hooker hotel based on the people hanging around there. Read more

I reserved a room for 3 adults but found only 2 sets of towels. There was no elevator going up to the 2nd floor, so we had to drag our bags on a flight of stairs. There was no lotion either in the room, which hotels normally provide, so I had to request for it too. To be fair and balanced, I will start out by saying that the bathroom was really nice. It was very clean, no mildew, and in good repair. The main room, however.... 1. Reeked of smoke. Absolutely reeked. 2. Stained carpeting. 3. Small hole in the outer quilt. 4. MULTIPLE small holes in the sheets. 5. Long, black hair was adhered to the blanket. I have […] a short blond pixie. Definitely not mine. 6. The blanket was originally fuzzy, and was worn visibly threadbare, fuzzless, and presumably not warm anymore in large areas. Secondary to number 5, I decided this didn't matter -- I wasn't sleeping under it anyway. 7. Dark hair also clung to the two hand towels in the bathroom -- one longer, one very short and curly. I noticed these while they were hanging on the rack, before using any towels. Again, definitely not my hair. 8. The closet only had one sliding door. 9. There was an iron, but no ironing board. 10. No alarm clock, either. I don't require luxury, but I do require clean, intact linens. Very disappointed. Read more

Room was clean. Had love seat but could not watch TV sitting on it. Love Seat had awful cover on it with ugly stain. Bathroom was clean. Walls are thin. Could hear everything in next room. Our stay--due to Sandy hitting Long Island, we were there to help our daughter whose house had 3 feet of water in it--was adequate. The room was clean and we had heat and hot water. The room was a bit tight in space, however, the facility was totally booked so no changes could be made--of course, this was thru no fault of the people in charge.

Days Inn Long Island Copiague. Room had a bad odor. Room did not have coffe/tea maker as indicated or iron and ironing board. Reserved room for 3 adults and only had two sets of towels...had to request another set. Paper toilet roll was not full and no extra roll in the room.

Honesty the area is not bad just a few things that might worry you at first. But when I was there, in the parking lot was 2 land rovers and a range rover so no one was worried about there cars being broke into. I checked out a day early , the bathroom sink was blocked , i was given a smoking room and specifically asked for a non smoking room , there was a burn mark on the covers and the curtains had not been washed in so long that the nicotine stains where showing.

I liked the hotel very much don't let the sketchy neighborhood deter you, the owners were very nice even at midnight when we got in! The room was very clean ESP the bathroom. Even though checkout was at 9am and we didn't wake up till 10 they were very nice and didn't charge an extra night. Def would stay here again very pleasantly surprised!

We didnt arrive until almost 11pm but the staff there was very welcoming, our room was clean and things were great. The only thing that was missing was that there were no trash bags in the garbage cans...but no big deal.

I thought the room was clean and comfortable, my thought it wasn't as comfortable. the area of the hotel was just OK, the breakfast area and food could have been bigger and more choices. Over all it was clean and ok- 3 1/2 out of 5 and no pool, but for Long Island itself I give a 2 1/2 out of 5.
