The only complaint I had was the bed was a little on the softer side- but after a day of kayaking and hiking, you'll have no trouble falling asleepGenuine Hotels.com guest review
A disappointing hotel. Totally lacking in charm or ambiance. Reception was slow and unfriendly. By 3.00PM on the second day of my stay the room had not been made up. Even when it was the bathroom was hardly touched- towels not folded, no clean wash cloths. Very unimpressive. I won't stay there againGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Nice, but pricey for what it is"
Pros- I had an amazing night's sleep in this hotel! The bed was very comfortable and the air conditioning was perfect. It didn't shut off and go back on (waking you up) like most other hotels. The room was large and comfortable. The game room was a cute touch! Oh, the best part- they have Keurig machines in the room. Cons- You can walk right in the […] side door (no card swipe needed). Even though it's Vermont, I still think you need to have better security. The TV wasn't very good. It was pretty small and there were not many choices, plus no in room movie! The carpet had some stains on it. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

nice hotel with friendly staff, great location close to Okemo, nice pools and fantastic restaurant. Next time i will try some of the spa services.Genuine Expedia guest review
"best hotel in proctorsville"
warm staff, comfy rooms, clean, wish the hot breakfast was complimentary, pool was vacant most of the time even on the weekend, really private, the spa was immaculate. I am very picky about hotels I have a nitch when it comes to sleeping places others have slept. but this place was completely comfortable.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"You can see Okemo from the window!"
Very clean, and nice hotel. You can see Okemo from some of the rooms and the drive is like 3-4 miles. The indoor jacuzzi is not very hot but is heated to an estimated 85-90. The only negatives I have is the pool must have been headed to 45 degreese...so cold we we didn't go in... Seriously 45. Also at this cost the breakfast should be included at […] least for 1 person. "Nice place for fams to stay on an Okemo weekend."
As advertised, with friendly service and comfortable, spacious rooms. Too bad the pool heater was broken.Genuine Expedia guest review
This is a nice hotel that is close to Okemo ski resort. The rooms were comfortable and clean. I would definitely stay here again the next time I'm in Ludlow.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"No resort feel but a ridiculous resort price"
Although marketed as a resort, at no time did it have a resort feel. The interior was rather humble and basic. It was about as far away from Okemo as any other property, which was one of the reasons I booked the room. It seemed so close to the mountain. In reality, it was one of the farthest properties from the ski resort. The room was decent, but there […] seemed to be so many less expensive options with decent rooms. This hotel was way overpriced, just because it has the word resort in its name. From start to finish, we regretted not going with a less expensive hotel that surely would have offered the same quality accomodations and decor. Save your money. Book elsewhere. "Suite value for money"
I stayed in a suite in January. Large, clean, great value for money. Located about 10 minutes' drive from Okemo. Good restaurants within 5 minutes. If I am not staying right on the ski hill ($$$), I will definitely stay here again.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Pointe at Castle Hill"
Had a great stay at the Pointe in Janurary of 2012. The hotel rooms were very clean and spacious. The hotel also offers a pool and hottub whice was nice for the price of the room. Also a game room with a pool table was a nice suprise. All in all had a great night sleep and only a 10 min drive to okemo made it well worth the money.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Our Home Away From Home"
This is our fourth stay at The Pointe and it is still our favorite place to stay when we ski at Okemo Mountain. The lobby is warm and inviting, with a fire in the fireplace and comfy oversized leather furniture on which to relax with family and friends, and a great table for playing any number of games available at the desk. The restaurant offers a […] good breakfast, either continental or full, for a reasonable price. The pool and hot tub area offers a little tropical escape from the cold outdoors and is very clean and convenient. Our rooms are always clean and nicely decorated and arranged. We look forward to our next stay! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"The Pointe is Average. Castle Hill is Excellent. So = Very Good"
10/21/14 Christine F Oradell, New Jersey
The Pointe is a hotel that screams "skier's joint" to me. It is down the hill from Castle Hill, where it is beautiful enough to make one want to get married there. Very different places. I would just say that as long as one didn't over pay, The Pointe would be a great skier's lodge. It needs better heat in the main lobby. Staff were local folks, friendly and helpful without being very professional or speedy. Polite though, which is what matters. The difficulty is knowing what package you have.Everyone there seemed to be on a different plan. We stayed in a nice clean room with a plain but decent bath. We got a discount on dinner at Castle Hill, which has dinners that seem expensive but they are three course prix fixe, so lots of high quality food. I got a discount at the spa, not inexpensive but the spa was fairly lux. The pool and hot tub at the Pointe are indoors and not fancy. The outdoor heated pool and hot tub are not available to Pointe hotel guests unless they pay to go in the spa. I would say that a wedding at Castle Hill would mean guests need a place to stay so the Pointe would help with that. And if I was a skier with more than the cheapest accommodations in mind the Pointe would be pretty nice. The "seasonal" restaurant there is a maybe open/ maybe not situation but there are some places nearby. No bar. A small playroom with a crowded pool table and game machines. There seems to be coffee in the morning and perhaps a snack in the lobby in the afternoon. No breakfast with room but I hear it is served up the hill (price unknown). We did have dinner at Castle Hill (beautiful, delicious), I did try the spa (mmm) but these are not cheap and cost extra, so I will not dwell on what the average person staying won't even see.
"Fantastic One Bedroom Condo"
10/14/14 BrookeAB Chicago, Illinois
My husband and I stayed in a one bedroom condo at the Pointe Resort next to the castle. You drive up an winding road to the top where the condos are located. The setting is gorgeous. The beautiful fall colors are surrounding the condo. The condo itself was very cozy and it seemed like they just updated it. It is very well appointed with nice furniture. The kitchen is stocked with basic amenities and a coffee maker which they supply packets of coffee. The bed is large and comfy, and the pillows are comfy too. There's a nice patio with a table and chairs and the backyard is beautiful. There's a fireplace and two bathrooms. The master bathroom is spacious with a bathtub with working jets. I utilized the tub and jets twice! We plan on coming back and staying in a larger condo with friends. We'd love to bring some friends so they can experience this as well. All and all I highly recommend this resort. But get a condo and not a standard room. You won't be disappointed.
"Great for groupon rate."
10/11/14 Tysmom1994 Amesbury, Massachusetts
Went with a friend for an overnight getaway. Got a good rate through a groupon. Room was average but clean. Had a slight musty smell which we brought to the attention of the desk on checkout. My friend had made the mistake of thinking we were going to be staying in the "castle". We did not take advantage of any spa offerings nor dinner at the castle since most reviews listed it as over priced. But overall a decent stay for an overnight getaway to see some foliage.
"Real nice room"
10/06/14 LCSCONST Brick, New Jersey
Stopped here for a night on our way further north. We had a one bedroom suite, it was large enough to be a condo. Full kitchen, dining table, living room with couch, love seat and chair, large bedroom with king bed, large bathroom with washer and dryer in room. Nice pool area with hot tub inside. Only knock, they charge for wifi in the room, it's free in the lobby and they didn't offer breakfast.
"Do not confuse with Castle Hill"
10/06/14 rainking61 Albany, New York
This is a quality roadside hotel but do not confuse it with any type of castle, resort, or spa. Nothing wrong with it at all. It is simply a well-appointed multi-floor hotel. No character, ambiance or scenery. In fact, it seems to have been a Clarion Hotel and some point and acquired by Castle Hill Resort. (The Clarion info is still on the back of the room doors). Close to skiing and about 30 mins from Long Trail Brewery. Bed was very comfortable with down pillows and down comforter. Convenient, well-run and comfortable, but nothing to write home about. Think Hampton Inn.
"very good hotel highly reccomend"
10/04/14 worcwebbs Worcester, MA
Spent the last couple of days here it was a very pleasant experience. The room is very large, clean and staff are very friendly. It is perfect for a quiet, relaxing, leaf peeping trip. Some decent restaurants/pubs in surrounding towns...some cute shops, antiques, etc...quintessential Vermont in okemo mountain area. We were pleasantly surprised by the hotel as it was a Groupon deal ... It was quite upscale looking in comparison to other hotels/motels in the area. Would not hesitate to return or recommend to others. PS THERE is WiFi in rooms..just check settings...I am on it right now!

For two people, room was huge. it was a mini apartment. This is a good hotel to spend a couple days. it is not really a one night hotel, but could be. there is not much if anything to do in the ludlow area. we stayed at this hotel as a quick getaway (1 night) with a groupon deal. Area would be better during ski season, though i doubt you would be able to get a good deal on hotel. Hotel grounds were okay. the interior of the hotel felt like basic hotel hallway but rooms made up for it.
"Good for the area"
09/15/14 Michael M Claremont, New Hampshire, United States
Pros: Clean rooms, comfortable bed, great hot tub and pool, close to many attractions, helpful staff, and quiet hotel environment. Cons: No free wifi in room. (you can only get this in the lobby) , lack of affordable in hotel dining.
"Less Than "meh""
09/08/14 Ian R Ballston Lake, New York
We got a groupon or some other offer, so we weren't expecting much... Which is a good thing I guess. On the upside, I liked the staff. They were very friendly and helpful, but not very professional. On the downside, our room smelled, our towels were stained with who knows what, our ac didn't work and they had to come fix it (which they did and stuff happens), the vending machines were broken, my wife got stabbed in the foot with an earring in the pool that was floating among other garbage, the water in the jacuzzi smelled nasty and was very foamy. On the upside again, we walked up to the castle and had breakfast, and the castle is really neat.

We visited this hotel over Labor Day weekend. We had a AAA discount that made a 2 night stay very inexpensive. Many others visitors seemed to have had groupon discounts. The indoor pool was very cold. The rooms were common areas were clean and the staff was friendly. Not a great hotel but well worth the price we paid.
