This was a wonderful experience, my daughter and I stayed only one night but wished we could stay longer. The massage was wonderful, the room was large and clean, the bed was comfortable and the staff was very friendly. I booked the massages before we got there and then received a $25 gift certificate towards it. That was nice. Overall it was a wonderful […] night!! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"-good value... if u overlook tired lobby"
room was great and appeared newly renovated..... larger than typical.. lobby - carpet and appearance was a little outdated and looked a little tired, but room condition was great... front desk service was great..Genuine Expedia guest review
Hotel is clean but very basic service for that price range . They did not provide much towels in swimming area and Breakfast is not included, whether other hotels in that area has all these facilities . I would not go again for these reasons but hotel room is clean and comfortable . we stayed in suite room.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Looks are deceiving"
When we arrived the outside of the building is definitely deceiving...does not look like the picture, but once we opened the door to our room it was very nice! Besides that, we really can't complain, besides that there is nothing to do in the town at night.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Wouldn't be worth the full price"
Nice enough hotel but online, looked and sounded a bit more special than it turned out to be. We were glad we hadn't paid the full price. We were too tired to go out to eat on the first night and the info offered a take out menu from their restaurant, which we assumed meant room service. But no, we would have had to drive or walk round to the restaurant […] and fetch it ! That's fine if the price of the food reflects it but it wasn't cheap and they added a tray service fee even for you to collect it !! So we drove a mile down the road to SAMs steakhouse......highly recommended. The hotel itself was ok for what we paid. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Average hotel, beautiful location"
The hotel itself and its amenities are fairly prosaic. I would compare this hotel with a Holiday Inn or similar quality establishment. I expected a bit more based on the pictures, but the hotel was clean and the staff was friendly. Our room was, again, an average hotel room with two double beds, a flat-screen TV, and a tile bathroom with ceramic surround. […] I have no complaints about the quality of the furnishings; I suppose I just expected more in the way of uniqueness (perhaps my own fault). As for the surrounding area, the Vermont countryside near the hotel is breathtaking and well worth the drive. The hotel restaurant, situated in a turn-of-the-century castle atop the hill behind the Pointe hotel, is also picturesque and offers quality dining at reasonable prices ($45-50 per entree with an appetizer and salad or soup). In short, the hotel itself is an adequate lodging destination in order to experience some of the finest scenery in the United States, especially in the fall. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Was surprised that the side door was not secured. Also thought it was overpriced even with the Hotels.com discount. Folks at the front desk were polite but did not present a welcoming presence. The room was clean and met our needs. However, there was nothing special about the room. The outside does not match the inside.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The only complaint I had was the bed was a little on the softer side- but after a day of kayaking and hiking, you'll have no trouble falling asleepGenuine Hotels.com guest review
A disappointing hotel. Totally lacking in charm or ambiance. Reception was slow and unfriendly. By 3.00PM on the second day of my stay the room had not been made up. Even when it was the bathroom was hardly touched- towels not folded, no clean wash cloths. Very unimpressive. I won't stay there againGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Nice, but pricey for what it is"
Pros- I had an amazing night's sleep in this hotel! The bed was very comfortable and the air conditioning was perfect. It didn't shut off and go back on (waking you up) like most other hotels. The room was large and comfortable. The game room was a cute touch! Oh, the best part- they have Keurig machines in the room. Cons- You can walk right in the […] side door (no card swipe needed). Even though it's Vermont, I still think you need to have better security. The TV wasn't very good. It was pretty small and there were not many choices, plus no in room movie! The carpet had some stains on it. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"best hotel in proctorsville"
warm staff, comfy rooms, clean, wish the hot breakfast was complimentary, pool was vacant most of the time even on the weekend, really private, the spa was immaculate. I am very picky about hotels I have a nitch when it comes to sleeping places others have slept. but this place was completely comfortable.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"You can see Okemo from the window!"
Very clean, and nice hotel. You can see Okemo from some of the rooms and the drive is like 3-4 miles. The indoor jacuzzi is not very hot but is heated to an estimated 85-90. The only negatives I have is the pool must have been headed to 45 degreese...so cold we we didn't go in... Seriously 45. Also at this cost the breakfast should be included at […] least for 1 person. Second stay and was just as good this weekend as it was 2 years ago. Rooms are clean and spacious. Love the Aveda products. Pool area clean, however they ran out of towels. Look out for specials they offer which are very good. Only wish they offered a complimentary breakfast.
"Nice Rooms and Staff"
02/01/15 MrCottage Connecticut
My wife and I aren't skiers, which this hotel caters to in the winter. We liked our room, the staff and location of this hotel. My only wishes were that it had a lounge and restaurant that served pub grub. There is a restaurant that is opened in the evening, and they offer a discount if you are staying there. We would recommend staying here and exploring, such as we did.
"Clean, Well Maintained, Great Value"
12/01/14 Asaf S New York City, New York
In short: this is our second time here and it seen more spruced up than last time. Rooms and common areas are clean and well maintained. We will come back. In detail: about 10 minute drive from Okemo, and 5 minute away from Ludlow main drag. Great for families. Rooms have fridge and coffee maker, no microwave. Pool is neat and of course your must have hot tub for apre ski relaxation. Reception stuff efficient and helpful. We will be back.

What a great place. We stayed in the suite. It was more than enough room for a family of 4. The itches was plenty big and we did not have to worry about going out all the time. Okemo is 5 min away and you can't beat it for the price.
"Inviting, Easy and Lovely"
11/19/14 Rebecca U New York City, New York
My sister and I recently stayed at The Pointe Hotel at the Castle Hill Resort. The staff were very helpful. They offered to turn on the lobby fireplace for us if we wanted to just lounge and chat after traveling! We decided to bring in take out for dinner and they were more than alright with us having our dinner at a very cool wooden table in the lobby area. The Aveda spa is beautiful although we didn't have time to enjoy their services on this trip. We were able to spend some time in the indoor pool and hot tub which offer beautiful views of the outside elements. This was my second stay and certainly not my last. Can't wait to visit again!

We stayed here simply to facilitate our leaf-peeping excursion on the Green Mountain RR, but holy COW did we get lucky!! Not only was the pet-friendly room clean and well-appointed, but the food knocked our socks off. This place is in two parts: The Point is a newer hotel in the front (only pet-friendly rooms, so we stayed there) and Castle Hill is...well...an absolutely gorgeous castle up the hill. We ate up at the Castle, and it has been awhile since we've had such a decadent meal. They attend to every detail and allowed us to relax and enjoy our dining experience. It's the kind of place that makes you feel underdressed when you walk in and at home when you sit down. We ordered from the prix fix (incredibly reasonable, considering). Meals were inventive, fresh, locally sourced when possible, and beautifully presented. The Castle chefs could hold their own against any place I've ever eaten, and the ambiance is incomparable. We went up to the Castle for breakfast, and again we had a fabulous meal. This was a simple buffet - coffee/tea, juice, cereals, various toastable items, pastries, fruit, made-to-order scrambled eggs - but there was nothing ordinary about it. The yogurt was divine, especially with their granola on top. Again, the service was delightful and the ambiance sublime. My only complaint was my engagement with the front desk at The Point. I only saw one woman (we stayed 1 night) and she was a complete sourpuss. She wouldn't help with dinner arrangements (in the room, I called up to the restaurant and they were lovely) or directions for the area. Even my request for a simple tea bag seemed to be a burden. But dealing with a sourpuss isn't such a big deal when everything else is wonderful! We're going back to the RR next year, and I think we'll stay two nights...it's THAT great!
"Perfect hotel in the woods"
We traveled as 2 couples and we were all very pleased as we arrived to the hotel. I didn't expect a place like this in the area. The suite was unbelievable having everything you would need if you stayed for even a week or two.
"The Pointe is Average. Castle Hill is Excellent. So = Very Good"
10/21/14 Christine F Oradell, New Jersey
The Pointe is a hotel that screams "skier's joint" to me. It is down the hill from Castle Hill, where it is beautiful enough to make one want to get married there. Very different places. I would just say that as long as one didn't over pay, The Pointe would be a great skier's lodge. It needs better heat in the main lobby. Staff were local folks, friendly and helpful without being very professional or speedy. Polite though, which is what matters. The difficulty is knowing what package you have.Everyone there seemed to be on a different plan. We stayed in a nice clean room with a plain but decent bath. We got a discount on dinner at Castle Hill, which has dinners that seem expensive but they are three course prix fixe, so lots of high quality food. I got a discount at the spa, not inexpensive but the spa was fairly lux. The pool and hot tub at the Pointe are indoors and not fancy. The outdoor heated pool and hot tub are not available to Pointe hotel guests unless they pay to go in the spa. I would say that a wedding at Castle Hill would mean guests need a place to stay so the Pointe would help with that. And if I was a skier with more than the cheapest accommodations in mind the Pointe would be pretty nice. The "seasonal" restaurant there is a maybe open/ maybe not situation but there are some places nearby. No bar. A small playroom with a crowded pool table and game machines. There seems to be coffee in the morning and perhaps a snack in the lobby in the afternoon. No breakfast with room but I hear it is served up the hill (price unknown). We did have dinner at Castle Hill (beautiful, delicious), I did try the spa (mmm) but these are not cheap and cost extra, so I will not dwell on what the average person staying won't even see.
"Fantastic One Bedroom Condo"
10/14/14 BrookeAB Chicago, Illinois
My husband and I stayed in a one bedroom condo at the Pointe Resort next to the castle. You drive up an winding road to the top where the condos are located. The setting is gorgeous. The beautiful fall colors are surrounding the condo. The condo itself was very cozy and it seemed like they just updated it. It is very well appointed with nice furniture. The kitchen is stocked with basic amenities and a coffee maker which they supply packets of coffee. The bed is large and comfy, and the pillows are comfy too. There's a nice patio with a table and chairs and the backyard is beautiful. There's a fireplace and two bathrooms. The master bathroom is spacious with a bathtub with working jets. I utilized the tub and jets twice! We plan on coming back and staying in a larger condo with friends. We'd love to bring some friends so they can experience this as well. All and all I highly recommend this resort. But get a condo and not a standard room. You won't be disappointed.
"Great for groupon rate."
10/11/14 Tysmom1994 Amesbury, Massachusetts
Went with a friend for an overnight getaway. Got a good rate through a groupon. Room was average but clean. Had a slight musty smell which we brought to the attention of the desk on checkout. My friend had made the mistake of thinking we were going to be staying in the "castle". We did not take advantage of any spa offerings nor dinner at the castle since most reviews listed it as over priced. But overall a decent stay for an overnight getaway to see some foliage.
