I believe it is a family owned business. Not too friendly; bed is sagging. Bedspread seemed dirty, musty smell. Not well kept. There is a fridge but no thermostat to adjust it. TV remote does not work.

Usually you get what you pay for with cheap hotels, but this one was pretty nice considering how much it was. Stayed 2 nights here. Everything was clean, customer service was good. I have no complaints.

This was the second time staying at this hotel. The price is great and the folks at the counter are very polite and helpful, however the maintenence of the hotel really needs work. Don't be surprised when you pull into the parking lot... the hotel is squeezed between two other buildings. The carpets are worn and dirty and the garbage can out front needs […] to be cleaned. The rooms are clean, but worn. Everything from the doors need painting to replacing wallpaper in the bathrooms. The screen in the window has a hole in it large enough for someone to go through. I'm not sure why the window was opened when we arrived? A large nail was found on the floor in the bathroom as well as writing on the toilet seat. If the above was taken care of, I would consider returning for the great price even for weekends. Read more

Decent room if you are looking for running water and a bed with a roof over it. Simple amenities like in-room mini fridge, coffee maker, and basic cable. Was unable to get the wi-fi to work, but room was equipped with a DSL line - I didn't have a cable so can't comment on its effectiveness. Staff was friendly enough, however, housekeeping refreshed […] my room even when I placed the "do-not disturb" marker on the door. Despite the surprise intrusion, nothing went missing or was disturbed. Walls are not not insulated enough to keep out the sound of loud neighbors (there were several during my stay, which could be heard -and smelled- when walking in the hallway), but I didn't hear the TV or shower running from the rooms adjacent to mine. Continental breakfast consisted of coffee, orange juice, cereal, and a some pastries. Nothing fancy, but its enough to tie over until brunch. Price and location were convenient for my needs; but there is little within walking distance. Overall, a good motel for a bed and place to wash up, but not a vacation destination, or a good office-away-from-office. Read more

The only thing about the hotel is there is not a lot of parking space. If you have a full size truck then it may be an issue to some. The staff is family owned obviously because upon arrival children were running freely up and down the hallways as the person was cleaning who looked like she may have been the a relative of the owner. My boyfriend and I just stayed here for one night as a stop over on our way to Monterey. For the price, the hotel was not bad at all. It was clean enough and they had breakfast in the morning and coffee. Would stay here again if I was just stopping for one night.

I was a little upset that when I went to check in that our room was not ready and I had to wait after driving all day. It looked as if they tossed someone out of a room and just gave us that one. There were food crumbs on floor and such.

This small hotel was built in 2008 on a small piece of land, it only has 19 rooms and parking for 16. The neighbor hood is sort of rough but they make up for it with large clean rooms. I would stay again.

I was surprised at how nice this hotel was, considering it was among the cheapest rates in Bakersfield at the time. The room was surprisingly big and had an HDTV. I think the room was recently remodeled considering how nice and clean it was. I definitely recommend this hotel.

Driving into the parking lot, I wasn't sure what to think. Once I opened the door to my room, I totally forgot about having to walk up stairs instead of taking an elevator. It was very clean and spacious inside the room. The decor an amenities were greatly appreciated. I would definitely stay here again.

The first room we were assigned had curtain repair going on, and we were pointed back to the front desk because the guy couldn't speak english. We then got assigned to a room upstairs, much to my dismay as there was no elevator and I had ankle surgery. In our next room, the bathroom light did not turn on. It was pitch black in there, we had to leave […] the bathroom door open while using it to get any light in there. The people at the front desk did not speak or understand english well, so we couldn't get it fixed. There was a dead worm on the floor and crumbs on the bed spread when we arrived. There was also stains on the bed sheets and pillows. The pillows were very uncomfortable. We got a non-smoking room because we can't tolerate odors, and the stench of marijuana seeped under the door, so we had to put towels under there. No tables to eat the breakfast at, had to eat on their dirty couch. We paid a higher rate to get a king bed and we're given a queen bed and didn't get a refund for the difference. There was no wireless internet access as advertised. They also advertised wired internet, but apparently you have to bring your own ethernet cable for, so we didn't even get to use the internet. Another guest went to the front desk asking for an iron stating that it was missing from their room but the person at the desk couldn't understand him either, and he was sent away empty handed. I picked this motel because it was rated highly on expedia, but this place was worst ever! Read more

Small parking lot. Didn't look to hot on the outside but when i got to the room it was very nice and clean. Great room for the price. Room was very updated. It had a plasma tv. Bed was nice. I will stay next time.
