"Magical Fourth of July Getaway with Great Hosts"
We booked last minute for the Fourth of July on our mountain motorcycle trip. The owners were extremely accommodating, even changing our room to one that would be easier to get to on our motorcycles (since we didn't realize the cabin we had booked was further away on mountain roads). The cabin we stayed in was perfect, well outfitted with everything […] you need with a big comfortable bed, rocking chair front porch and hot tub. The owners also put on the best private fireworks show I've ever seen and welcomed us like family. We will definitely stay there again the next time we pass through! "The Perfect Getaway"
The Creekwalk is the perfect pick for couples or individuals who want an out-of-the-way getaway in the Smokies. The Inn is about 30 minutes outside of Gatlinburg, and within 10-20 minutes of several trail heads. It's set off of any roads. The area gets perfectly dark at night, giving a great view of the stars and all of the fireflies lighting up the […] surrounding mountains. The building itself is a well-cared-for repurposed cabin. It features several gathering areas, including a porch and library. The guest rooms range from cramped with a bath across the hall to spacious with a hot tub and private porch. Despite the rustic feel, the room was spotlessly clean, as was the rest of the inn. Janice, the innkeeper, makes a amazing breakfast every morning, and serves it to you on the deck overlooking the creek, or at any of the lovely tables inside. Our breakfasts featured treats like quiche, pancakes with fruit, and french toast, with muffins and fresh juice every morning. Janice is always ready to make suggestions for things to do in the area, from pointing out the best restaurants to helping you find just the right trail to hike. The walls in the inn are thin, and noise travels easily, but we found the atmosphere to be quiet and respectful nonetheless. I would not recommend this inn those who wish to spend most of their time in town. The Creekwalk Inn is a place to get into the Smokies and just relax. It is a genuine country B&B experience at its best. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"A great place to call home for a few days"
My girlfriend and I stayed here for a few days. It was wonderful, we were met with smiles and kind conversation. We were shown our cabin and asked about any needs we had. Breakfast was wonderful and flavorful. Recommendations as to what trails or views were offered with a smile over breakfast. Every night we sat in the hot tub and watched thousands […] of lighting bugs dance all over the field and make the treeline look like christmas trees. The views, the air, the rooms and the hosts make this a great place to visit. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"The perfect getaway"

My husband and I were very excited to stay here again. We first heard about it on groupon and couldn't resist the opportunity to stay for such a steal. We went for our anniversary and loved the cozy rooms with patio access to a flowing creek and a firefly show at night. We had books on our room that promoted us to read to eachother in our quiet time and get off our phones for a day. We absolutley love Carvers the local restaurant down the road. They have a beautiful dining view and the best fried chicken and honey mustard. Anyhow the inn provides delicious coffee and sodas and the yummiest breakfast prepared on the porch!!! We ate one day of breakfast in the library in our Jammie's. It's such a joy to be cared for and comfortable on vacation. There is certainly no judgement at creekwalk, come as you are and be treated like family. We went on our first kayak adventure this year and loved coming back to in and kicking our feet up. Gatlinburg is very close and I think we enjoyed the arts and crafts tour better than the crowded streets, but most of all I think we were happiest talking with Janice and hanging out at the Inn.
"Cabins are great"

The cabins are great if you want seclusion. No, you don't need four wheel drive to get there during the summer. Yes, you might during the winter. It is on the side of a mountain--you will have to drive up some steep slopes. We loved our stay here. Everything was clean, the hot tub was nice and hot, the indoor jacuzzi tub filled in 10 minutes, and was nice and warm. The only thing you can hear are the birds. We didn't get a visit from the resident raccoon because we didn't throw our trash outside. We did get a serenade at 5:30 one morning from a cardinal, but you can go back to sleep if you want! Only two complaints: we had to go into town to buy firewood for a fire in the fireplace one evening. I know it's in the summer, so most people won't want a fire, but a little bit of firewood would have been nice. The other complaint is that the microwave was broken. We were already planning to cook our meals on stovetop, but the convenience of a working microwave still would have been nice. The people are very nice and helpful. If we hadn't had a discount, the price would have been too steep for us, but that is typical of everywhere in the Gatlinburg area... don't stay there if you are on a budget.
"Beautiful and relaxing"

My partner and I, along another couple, rented two cabins between us in May 2014 for two nights. As we were hoping, they were very secluded and surrounded by the Smokie Mountains. Truly beautiful. We absolutely loved having both a hot tub on the deck (we only used it during the day though because there were just too many moths at night, haha) and a jacuzzi indoors. There was also a cute porch swing. Our two cabins were close enough that we could walk between them when we wanted to get together for a meal and to hang out and far enough away that we could also make it a romantic couples getaway too. The only little complaint I had was that, while there was a tv in the cabin, ours didn't work (the tv in our friend's cabin did). Not a huge deal, it was nice to unplug and be more in touch with the lovely natural surroundings, just would have been nice if it had worked. A few points to be aware of: 1. Unless you are planning to go back into town after arriving, bring plenty of food with you (our cabin had a full kitchen, stocked with enough utensils that cooking was easy). 2. On that note, we first checked in at the main Creekwalk Inn office where we were given directions to the cabins. We then drove from the Inn to our cabins, which took at least a half hour and definitely felt like a bit of a hike. This is just good to know for planning, as the roads might be a little scary to drive on at night (I wouldn't want to unless I had to) and, like I said above, it's a good idea to have everything with you that you'll want for your stay. This aspect was a little confusing when booking and arriving because it seemed like the Inn and cabins had different names and different locations and we were just confused at first. 3. BUGS and other creatures (e.g., spiders, raccoons)!! We encountered a number of these (raccoons only a little at night making noise outside the cabin), including the largest spider I've ever seen. I'm not complaining, these things are to be expected in the woods, just something to be aware of if you scare easily or are expecting something free of natural inhabitants of the woods. Overall, a lovely relaxing experience. I'd certainly recommend it, but not if you're expecting something super fancy and can't handle a few critters.

No need to write a long review, so many have already given you the dirty on this place. We were crammed into a little dark filthy room in a double bed ( I think ) that was pushed into a corner. The creepiness of the place hit as soon as we drove down a gravel road and saw a little sign to unhook the wires stretched across the driveway for entrance. They had tied some old tattered faded red plastic bags on it so you couldn't miss it. Inside our room, there was a feisty cockroach who gave us quite a fight for dominance. We were told to help ourselves to tea in the common area, unfortunately, most of the cups were absolutely filthy. After we left, we were billed "resort fees," imagine that! I called the owner and asked that they be removed because there was no resort there. She said she would, but she didn't. Also, the location is far from any restaurants and attractions. I think it was about a half an hours drive to Gatlinburg. Better to stay over there, IMO.
"Smokey Mountains of Tennessee "Fabulous", Brooksong cabin questionable."
06/20/14 Karen P Rosemont, Illinois
We recently spent 3 days in the Smokey Mountain of Tennessee which was wonderful. If you've never visited the mountIns of TN, then put that on you things to do list. Our first stop was checking in at Creekwalk Inn, where we meet Janice (a very nice wonderful lady). After we checked in we drove almost 25 minutes to our cabin in Serierville TN. " Brooksong Cabin". The cabin was old nothing to look at from the outside. The inside the cabin had an old musty smell, a lot of Frebreeze and Lysol couldn't ,help. The inside was decorated simple and plane. One bed was comfortable to sleep in the other bed was not. The one bed that was uncomfortable the sheets were dirty,. I actually took a picture of the sheets dirty spot. This cabin has a heart shape tub in the dining/living room area , which has no purpose. My son took a bath in it, it took 20 to fill up. We tried to spend as little time as possible in the cabin. I definitely would not stay there again, just not our cup of tea, you would say. I think I expected a lot more from the pictures on shown on the website. "Brooksong is nothing like those pictures".
"Do not buy a half off certificate from any discount sites for this establishment!!!"

Creekwalk Inn and Cabins was such an awful experience that what was my husband's birthday surprise getaway turned out to be a nightmare that we did not even stay the full length of time-but left a day and half early!! I bought two of the vouchers for a 2 night stay at $179 each from Living Social. First in booking-I had to pay an additional $185 plus in FEES for what turned out to be a studio cabin over 20 away from the inn! This establishment that is suppose to be an a bed and breakfast only sends me an email back to be sure to bring paper towels, charcoal, shampoo, etc! And only a basic address. Nothing else! So we GPS the address and turn on the final road of destination expecting to find a formal sign for a fancy B&B and pass right by and keep looking-finally call and told to look for gate with where you have to get out and unhook wiring and there is a small notebook size sign stapled to wooden split rail fencing next to mail box-like anyone would see this from the road driving by! In previous places we have stayed at-cabins are on the premises-but this is when I learned we were being sent elsewhere off premises and that breakfast would be $30 daily upcharge but "doubted we would want it once we saw how far away we were". He was correct! It would have been nice to have been given notice that the place being we were being sent to you really needed a AWD vehicle-our vehicle was not properly equipped to go off road and we had no cell coverage nor satellite coverage! We packed some food expecting to have breakfast at the inn-lunches at the cabin-and dinners out. Once though we finally made the treacherous trek to the cabin-we knew we were stuck and possibly would require AAA for a tow possibly to get out. This romantic stay was suppose to include two bottles of beer or sparkling cider and hiking map (we might be actually need such to get out of there!)-nothing! Only one roll of toilet paper (that of course was gone with no extras anyway in this cabin)! The hot tub was a COLD tub where it never would warm up! And the icing on the cake for this birthday trip was the loquacious critters we believe to be a family/pack of raccoons that seemed rather insistent on invading our stay there-day and especially nighttime! They were scurrying and scratching and keeping us awake most of the night and in fact wondering if they were not even somehow inside with us trying to get into the food we were having to ration out! So running out of food, drink, paper products, and sleep-we decided to attempt the best we could to get out of there on our own safely NEVER TO RETURN!!! So needless to say I will never recommend this establishment and I feel it is a total rip off! And I contacted this establishment upon departure by phone as well by email in regards to all of this. And it has been over a week and I have received no reply or call back! They just seem to care about ripping off the public that customer service and what the typical ideals of a bed and breakfast with cabins with personal service is suppose to be about!
This bed and breakfast has received mixed reviews from others. For us, it was a huge disappointment. We booked on line through Travelocity for two nights. We paid a premium of $400 dollars per night expecting this to be a top of the line bed and breakfast in the mountains of Tennessee. It was far below our expectations. Tired, unkempt and run-down. The proprietress had her hands full and could not possible run this operation as advertised. Ouch! We got bit, and not just by the gnats in the creek!
"DO NOT PURCHASE THIS ON GROUPON IT IS A SCAM!"
04/29/14 Lynn R Columbus, Ohio
I purchased a 2 night cabin stay and they didn't have enough cabins to cover the ad book by date! Since I had spent the money, I was going to settle for a room at one of their locations, but booking it took two weeks because they will only communicate with you via email (no phone number). When I finally thought I had a room booked, they asked me to give them a credit card number to pay for $178.00 in extra fees. I spent $219.00 on a two night stay already, I was not about to almost double that. Yes, the add does state that there are some extra costs not included in the purchase, but it doesn't mention that it will almost cost double the advertised price! I requested a refund from them and they told me I had to get it through groupon. I emailed groupon over a month before the book by date and never received a reply. I emailed them again, yesterday, which was three weeks past the book by date and they replied immediately. This was their reply, "Unfortunately, we aren't able to issue a refund after the book-by date. On the original screen where you made this purchase, http://www.groupon.com/deals/ga-creekwalk-inn-and-cabins-4, we included a "Fine Print & Details" tab in the middle of the page just below the main image. This section will always include all conditions of the deal that you should know before making your purchase, including the book-by date. Because this deadline has passed, the Booking Guarantee no longer applies and we cannot issue a refund. Fortunately, your Groupon is still valid for the amount you paid, in accordance with Groupon's terms of service. For example, if you paid $100 for a two-night hotel stay, the hotel will still accept your Groupon for $100 towards the full cost of a two-night stay after the book-by date. The above was only part of their response. The rest went on about possibly gifting the groupon if I didn't want to use it!! This is horrible customer service on both Creek Walk Inn and Groupon's behalf! I will never stay at one of their establishments or use groupon, again. I was successful at booking a beautiful cabin through Pioneer Rentals for the same weekend. There were no hidden fees and it was cheaper!
"serenity in the smokies"
My husband and I loved our weekend at Creekwalk Inn! We spent Easter/his birthday weekend here, while we did some hiking in the Smokies. Choose this personal, unique, quiet experience over a generic, plain, hectic stay at one of the hotels on the strip downtown. This is a place you feel at home. There are multiple sofas and areas to relax in the inn, with fireplaces, a firepit out on the deck, a tranquil creek running behind the inn, and all the books you could want. Janice, the innkeeper, saw me perusing the large library, and asked what I like to read. She then recommended a fantastic novel I could hardly put down while we weren't hiking or eating. And we were always eating! Breakfast was amazing! Fresh, local ingredients. Healthy but hearty. Not pre-packaged danishes you might get if you're lucky to get free breakfast at one of the chains downtown. And there was a large selection of hot tea, candies, cake, and homemade kombucha tea to enjoy throughout the day. We really enjoyed having a cup of tea and watching the horses graze outside, and the creek trickle by off the back deck. Our room was excellent. I couldn't have asked for a more comfortable bed to sleep in after hiking to the top and back of Mt Leconte (11 miles RT)! We truly cherished our weekend away here, and can't wait to come back and visit Janice again!
"Totally Relaxing 5 Star Breakfast"

We needed "quiet" time away from regular life. A diversion from stress & strain. You will experience that and more at Creekwalk Inn. It is beautiful and very peaceful. Very natural setting with flowers blooming in the Spring. Janice is a DEVINE CHEF!! Best breakfast anywhere. Conversations with Janice in the kitchen while I sat in rocking chair was "special". Great Kombucha too. Wish I could go back today. Highly recommend.
