The location was excellent and the staff was very helpful. The breakfast was great and they always added new items everyday. Make sure you get the superior room if you bring more than one luggage item. The single room is too small. The hotel is well located near Vaci Utca and the Castle and Bridge. You can even go out around midnight for a walk to Andrassy […] or around the Bridge where the InterContinental and the Sofitel are located. Just one tip, make sure you do not arrive on a holiday when some sorrounding streets are closed and access to the hotel is almost impossible. Although our room was clean and comfortable, we found the standard room too small for a week-long stay. We asked for a larger room or upgrade but no superior rooms or apartments were available until the last two nights of our stay. We were told when an upgrade was available we would need to pay 50% more for the superior room or 100% more for an apartment. […] The room had no chairs (just a stool at the desk) so the only place to sit was on the bed or floor. Hotel is in a great location, right off the square at St. Stephen Basilica. Easy to get to anything that you could possible need. Spectacular view of the Basilica from any of the windows on the front side of the hotel. Staff was friendly and very helpful and we used them numerous time for directions. The cost for the room was very affordable and this hotel is definitely worth the cost of the room. The only downside was, like most of Europe, the central A/C was not what Americans are used to. The temperature while we were there (7 nights) was in the mid to upper 80's and beautifully sunny, but after a long hot day of sightseeing the room seemed hotter than outside despite the A/C being on. Great location across from St. Stephen's and a 5 to 7 min. walk to the main metro line. Excellent desk help. They can get you tickets for the Parliament tour so that you don't have to stand in the long lines. Great hot breakfast. Back rooms are extremely quiet.

This hotel is located next to the Basilica in Budapest which is a great location for seeing the city. My room was a little small but the bathroom was big and it was overall very comfortable. The front desk workers were also very helpful when I first arrived and throughout my stay. I would recommend this hotel to anyone going to Budapest.

Nice hotel in an ideal location. Staff spoke english and was always helpful. A few drawbacks 1) Could be noisy on weekend nights as there is a popular bar nearby. 2) Under-staffed for breakfast buffet. 3) Lacking on bathroom amenities. But, overall a positive experience and a great price.

Some of the staff was not too friendly, and the hallway is very dark, you have to walk half the length of the hall way before lights automatically come on. Also, we were there two nights and each night someone tried to get into out room, which scared us (two women traveling alone).

This is a nice, clean hotel with professional staff. Breakfast was good and suitable for vegetarians, although the vegetarian options were mainly sweet rather than savory. The room was spacious, with a wired network connection, and a beautiful view of the basilica. The only real disappointment was when we left, we asked the desk to call a Zona Taxi […] (fixed-rate airport service). He called a different company instead, which turned out to be about 20% more expensive and I didn't have enough cash to pay for it. The taxi driver accepted the lower amount, but I was not pleased. Other minor inconveniences: the bed has two twin mattresses, not a double. The shower is fixed to the wall at bath-height, not shower-height, so you have to hold the end in your hand to take a standing shower. The bathroom cups seem to be washed rather than replaced. The bells on the basilica ring hourly starting at 6am. That said: the hotel staff were prompt and friendly with every request. Everything was unobtrusively and thoroughly cleaned. The room was very quiet apart from the church bells. There were many simple elegances: the air conditioning switches off when you open the room windows. Lights come on when you walk enter a hallway. Bedding, food, etc. are presented attractively. All in all, this is a nice place. Read more
