Nice hotel for the price and was well satisfied with the room and breakfest. Son was very happy with how close we where for the car show and we where still close enough to go and pack up daughter from Western Carolina to take home most of her stuff. We will use yo again if in the area.

The rooms are small, but very comfortable and accommodating! It's walking distance to anywhere downtown! We had a great stay and will definitely be staying there again next time we travel to Gatlinburg!

The hotel is located on the river with a trolley stop directly in front of the hotel. The service was fantastic! It is an older hotel but for the money we felt we got a great deal. We would stay there again. The maid service was great but the carpets are stained and need to be replaced. The pool area was very nice with a kiddy pool and jacuzzi too. This hotel is close to wild bear falls which was awesome for our family.

Room was listed as deluxe with two queen beds. the room we got was a standard room with two double beds which was ok. room was clean and in good shape our stay was great would stay again

Convenient to downtown Waynesville. Views from the hotel were beautiful. The rooms were large and clean. The staff were very helpful.

Situated in Cherokee, River's Edge Motel is close to Eastern Cherokee Agency Bureau of Indian Affairs, Unto These Hills Outdoor Drama, and Museum of the Cherokee Indian. Additional regional attractions include Great Smoky Mountains Railroad and Harris Regional Hospital.

Rooms feature balconies with river views. The 21 air-conditioned guestrooms at River's Edge Motel include coffee/tea makers and hair dryers. We had two rooms for our travel party. Both rooms were clean and comfortable. The price was low and the location is convenient to Great Smoky Mountains and downtown Cherokee. There are several restaurants and shopping within walking distance. Be advised that this hotel is directly on the road and you should exercise caution when backing from your parking […] spot into the street. "Great place"
was alitle worried about what we would get considering we had only seen pictures online, but this was exactly what we were looking for. It was private,quite, but near all the action. Office closed and had too go down the street to checkin and no ice was available at arrival.Love the river view. Very nice and comfortable stay.

This motel is wonderful. Every room overlooks the river with a balcony. The room was clean the towels were freshly washed and the staff was very friendly. The only none 5 I gave was on the comfort due to the desk chairs were really uncomfortable and we had a hard time getting the temperature in the room to a comfortable level. "River's Edge, the name says it all!"
The room was very nice. It was clean and exactly what I hoped it would be. It was on the river and we enjoyed seeing the ducks swim by below. They only thing I didn't really like was the view of the campground across the river. Other than that, it was perfect. It is close to everything and many attractions are in walking distance. "Right on the Main Road"
This was truly an old-style motel, with parking right on the main road. Very convenient, but a bit hairy when unloading your vehicle with traffic rushing by just a few feet away. That said, this was the cleanest small motel I've stayed at in a long time. Despite its age, it was very well kept and updated. It was very relaxing to open the balcony door […] and listen to the sound of the river and watching the ducks ride the rapids. "River's Edge Motel-Cherokee"
We stayed here after a day on the Nantahala River. It was only 20 miles or so from the river. The town Is a little dumpy. The rooms are very simple but very clean. The balconies that are on each room are on the river! However there was a campground directly across the river. Our room had a small fridge. Overall the motel was somewhere I would stay again. "My stay at Riveredge NC"
The stay was great! The people were very nice and helpful if anything was needed. I reserved a room with a king size bed but received a room with two double beds, I did not tell the front office because my husband and I was pleased with the room we had.

I wouldnt stay at this hotel again. It was very dated and had an odor. THe staff was friendly. Would I recommend this hotel, NO!
"Great Hotel for the Price"
This is not a Hyatt and it doesn't charge Hyatt prices. I am partial for hotel rooms with a view and this hotel is perfect for that -- all rooms have a spacious balcony which overlooks the river that flows right by -- often with tubers floating by. In the morning you can see fishermen fly-fishing. Very charming. I suggest that if you like a nightcap, […] then you bring your drinks into town with you. "River's Edge - the perfect mountain getaway"
Had stayed previously in newer chain hotels in the area. River's Edge BY FAR was the best overnight accomodations we've had in the area. It is a hidden gem. It's quaintness and location directly on the river make the perfect setting for a mountain getaway. While other local accomodations may also have clean, quiet rooms, once inside you don't even know […] you're in the Smokies. At River's Edge, you are immersed in the mountain splendor. Between sitting on your balcony which is directly on the river and the luxury of sleeping with only the screen door open to hear the trickling stream all night, River's Edge is heaven on Earth for those looking to get away! "Great room BUT A LITTLE PRICY"
ENJOYED THE ROOM LOVED THE LOCATION. BALCONY ON RIVER GREAT. CELL PHONE IN ROOM NOT THERE, HAD TO RELOCATE TO USE CELL PHONES. NO BREAKFAST OF ANY KIND. BUT THE LOCATION WAS PRICELESS.

This was our second trip to Cherokee, NC. The hotel room is very basic. The room was clean and they took my pet, which was an added bonus. The staff was very friendly and helpful.
