Great stay as always, only downside is the location. It's pretty far from the downtown area. 5 min walk to metro station where you can access anything, but late night taxi from downtown back to the hotel can be a little expensive if you are on a budget.

The competitive nightly rate was for a room facing the street. In China, people like to use their horns, so it was very noisy. I complained and management was understanding and moved me to an upgraded room at no extra charge which was great. Great service. I would return to this hotel if it continues to be the value that it was during my stay. If the price were to go up, say another US$20-USD30, then it would have a lot more competition. Simply stated, this hotel is showing its age. It's due for a refresh/remodel. The staff is great. The food in the western restuarant could be improved. The Japanese […] restaurant was great. The location is good too especially for me because our office is 10 minutes away. The room was acceptable, but tired and worn. A little out of the way, but very manageable with subway stop within walking distance and carrefour (grocery store/department store) just up the block. If you want to join in evening line dancing there for exercise it's the place to be. Cabs seemed to be relatively easy to get - not always the case in other parts of the city. New hotel with great amenities. […] We were "upgraded' to "deluxe" with breakfast included on 27th floor with view of city. 24hour access to cold beverages and evening apps/cocktails. Swimming pool is small but nice for a cool-down (they require a swimming cap, but they are available for 10Y) and exercise room is right next door, so parent can work out in view of children in pool. The Hotel is almost perfect, much much better than a typical Radison in US. Things in room are shining, there are complimentary refreshments in room. The TV has quite a few international channels. The only slight imperfection is, the ground of the shower room is not very smooth. So there is a little water accumulation on the ground. The house keeping […] always get the water off though. It’s very beuatifull hotel, away from the city but metro station is very near so by metro we can travel easly to city. Swimming pool and everything is very nice. I recommend this hotel in Shanghai.

This is a very nice and comfortable hotel. The staff is very friendly and ready to help. The hotel is unfortunately not well situated and they do not have a shuttle service to bring you to downtown. The way to get there by subaway is as follows: Shanghai West Railway Station take the exit Tao Pu Road and walk 10 minutes. They have a very good breakfast […] ( a bit expensive if not included in your hotel room ) The sushi restaurant is very good and very affordable. Likes: Modern, clean , new, free internet, executive lounge free to use which includes soft drinks and snacks, large indoor heated pool and gym, 3 restaurants. Rooms are large and have comfortable beds. Dislikes: Windows require more noise insulation, cars can be heard blowing their horns, and unfortunately this goes on throughout the night and can […] be heard even on the 20th floor where our room was located. Far from the City Centre and restaurants, crappy area, by far the worst complaint would be the unprofessional conduct of the staff. They have no concept on how to behave in front of their clients for e.g. Such as shouting at each other from across the room, in the restaurant and lobby area. You ask for something, they pretend to know what you’re asking for and bring you something completely different. Non enforcement of their rules i.e. locals smoking on the corridor of our landing when there are clear signs that smoking is not allowed. They even have cameras for observation and still they do not enforce their rules, when they can clearly see what is going on in the building. Politeness is not their forte and sometimes you feel a bit intimidated by the way they stare or look at you. At breakfast, one of the staff came to our table and shouted at us in front of other clients that “breakfast was not included and that we would have to pay”. The next day, they did exactly the same thing and this time attempted to make me sign the bill while I was still eating my breakfast. Very unprofessional behaviour! These type of issues should be dealt with, with a little bit of tact. Clearly, more training and monitoring is required at all levels. Read more

We enjoyed our stay in the hotel. Friendly check-in staff and concierge. The room was very clean, bed comfortable , room well equipped with all amenities. Bath with a see-through glass from the room - a novel idea.There are blinds if you want your privacy in the bath...so no worry. Appreciated the free Free Wi-fi in the rooms.Location close to the railway […] station hence good connectivity to all tourist sites. The shuttle bus to Mei Chuan is a good idea..wish there were one or two services in the morning too. Food at Terrace cafe - good. Minus points - too far from Pudong airport (taxi charges come to about 220 RNB)no free breakfast, air con cooling not enough in room, lack of power points in rooms esp. near table for laptops etc. , staff at house-keeping(in-room dining) not very fluent in English (when i called i had a hard time making them understand that i needed more coffee, creamer sachets in my room) . Our room book by hotel.com was not available when we arrived so we claimed a little bit and we had been upgraded to business floor. The staff is very nice and provide super service and good advices for our visit in Shanghai. Hotel is near to the subway and to Shanghai west railway station (not yet open but soon it seems)

The only reason we selected "No" to recommendation was due to the hotel's location. It was extremely expensive compared to our stay last year but that was probably due to the ExPo show. Otherwise we regard the hotel as tip-top !!

滞在中におなかをこわし、外出もできない状況で食事に困っていたのですが、チェックイン時に同封されていた名刺の日本人スタッフに連絡して、ルームサービスのメニューになかったおかゆを作っていただきました。また、配食時に部屋まで来ていただき様子を確認いただきました。 肉体的に余裕のないときに日本人スタッフの存在は大変ありがたいものでした。 感謝の気持ちを伝えることなくチェックアウトしてしまったので、ここに改めてお礼を申し上げます。

we were upgraded to club lounge, we had complimentary drinks and snacks. pool and gym were great. julia and kitty, the duty managers were great and tireless w/ all info we needed. Though far from city centre, it's a 10 min walk from subway, shame it closes early. However, I would stay here again and again and I highly recommend it!

Pænt hotel, rent og god service generelt overalt. Hotellet er meget vestligt orrienteret hvilket man mærker når man færdes rundt på hotellet. Jeg var sidst heldig med en opgradering til et af hotellets suiter hvilket var en super oplevelse til en relativ lav pris. Resturationsoplevelse er middel standard med en buffet-resturant samt en eksklusiv kinesisk […] resturant men med rimelige priser. Morgenbuffet god men ikke ud over det sædvanlige. Eneste kritikpunkt må være beliggenthed da der er relativ langt til centrum og taxakørsel er jo idag ikke ligefrem hurtigt i Shanghai! Read more
