"Great value and location"
Can’t beat it for the price. Legit complimentary breakfast. Close enough to everything, while being slightly away from the busier areas of the historic district.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"An excellent stay."
I came to Savannah to celebrate my birthday and visit my granddaughter that attend Savannah State University. My wife and I throughly enjoyed our stay. The entire staff were more than willing to go out their way to make sure our stay was enjoyable.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great accomodations, fair price."
We were a little concerned at first because of the change in hotel ownership/name - not sure what to expect. Everyone on the staff was more than accommodating and very friendly. The breakfast was better than average for similar accommodations. The hotel is not too far from the historic district/riverfront areas, making it an ideal place to stay without […] paying the higher prices of these areas. This will be our new "go to" hotel in Savannah. As others have noted, the underground parking lot is quite tight, so we'll opt for the parking garage across the street next time. Nice place! Close walk to all the places! Only negative thing I have to say is the concerige lady was not friendly and appeared to be less than thrilled to help us with any suggestions. She highlighted a map for us and did not have much more to add.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Rude staff, beautiful hotel."
The reception staff and management need some serious retraining! Rude, arrogant and dismissive. Hotel beautiful. Not exactly in the historic district despite the name.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Rock and Roll race weekend"
We were traveling with our teenage daughter and were in town for the Rock and Roll Marathon/1/2 Marathon. The room was great and beds were very comfortable. My only complaint is that I wish there was an "adult only" floor with no one under the age of 16 allowed. The night before the race, I didn't sleep because the baby next door screamed for hours […] and the mom kept screaming at the baby (like that was going to help). So, I got to go to the race (which I had trained for months for) completely exhausted! At least they checked out that morning and after the race, they were gone and I slept "like a baby"! (Pun intended) Great breakfast everyday and staff in the dining area were very nice! Parking was excellent! Besides the screaming baby/mom episode, it was a great stay! Will certainly book the same place when I go back for the race next year! P.S. - I know traveling with kids is hard, been there done that! However, when you have trained for months for a race, the last thing you want is to be kept awake the night before your big race by someone else's child! Is there any way that you can request not to be in a room next to small kids? Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Very nice hotel.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The stay was great beautiful hotel. Great location.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The hotel staff, from reception to housekeeping to breakfast preparers were amazing. We could not have asked for a friendlier and most hospitable group. We were walking distance from everything. We have no complaints!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Staff was friendly. Location was good. Walking distance to everything. A bit of a hike to get there but not terrible. Bathroom could have been a little cleaner. A few hairs on/in tub and they weren't mine. Upholstry on chair was funky dirty old looking and carpet had stains.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Very good offering help with dinners and places to go. Quite location and near free bus transportation all around the key places in the area. Would stay there again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Where are you?"
This hotel has recently been purchased by another company. At midnight on the 28th. On the 29th a new name went on the outside. That is what the hotel needs, new blood, as it is old and dated and a bit shabby. HOWEVER, the new owners should have, put a small sign out-side stating, this was formally the country inn & suites. I had to get in line behind […] the irate people coming in. I myself work in customer service, so I wasn't going to take it out on the people behind the desk. However, watching them, they also did not handle it very well. Everyone said the same thing, circled the block 20 times, etc. They should have waived the parking fee, instead of discounting it. The breakfast , well lets put it this way, we went out for breakfast. Will I go back, hmm. Yes if they offer me a(Big) discount after this fiasco. other wise, sorry this will be my only review. over all rating 2 stars. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Beautiful accommodations, nice staff, decent breakfast…..not as thrilled with having to pay for parking and it being across the street but it was not inconvenientGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Excellent accomodations within a nice, easy walk of the main attractions. Parking was right across the street but not included in the room rateGenuine Hotels.com guest review

Very convenient location. Room was nicely furnished, but could probably stand some updating. Rooms were quiet.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Lovely hotel in romantic Savannah"
My husband and I spent a lovely weekend in historic, romantic Savannah. The Country Inn and Suites Hotel is well situated for exploring Savannah on foot. Right outside our hotel door are many blocks of 18th and 19th century homes, set around beautiful squares and the atmosphere is enhanced by the horse-drawn carriages that clip-clop by. Also, one of […] the best restaurants in Savannah, "Noble Fare," is right next door to this hotel. Our room in the Country Inn and Suites was comfortable, with soft sheets, good mattresses, and an immaculate bathroom. There is also an indoor swimming pool with pleasantly warm water, which I had all to myself before breakfast. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Impeccably clean rooms!"
I liked how easy it was to find as I arrived in Savannah. I also like the private parking garage which was very secure. The room was impeccably clean, the sheets very soft, plenty of towels and space for my clothes. The front desk was extremely helpful and friendly. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Savannah.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The only drawbacks to the stay were the a/c in our room left something to be desired and the breakfast could have been better.Genuine Expedia guest review
Fine till the laundry started. This room on the 3rd floor adjoined the laundry room. Strong, dirty burning smell in the room starting around 9:30 am, presumably when housekeeping started washing sheets. I have to wonder if the exhaust fan in the laundry room was backed upGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"close to everything"
We went to an event at the Civic Center...just one block away....convenient parking...bed could have been a little more comfortable...ask for a room off the street because the street noise can be distracting...staff was great...breakfast was the usual free breakfast....Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Enjoyed our stay at this hotel. It was located within walking distance to many tourist sites in Savannah. The Concierge provided us with excellent information for touring the city.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Nice hotel with a great location"
We stayed at the Country Inn & Suites for one night. We were able to park our truck across from the hotel for $12 in the city owned parking garage. The hotel is on the western boundary of the historic district and about in the middle north/south. We were able to walk to Forsyth Park or to the river within 15 minutes from the hotel. The room was spacious, […] bed comfortable, and it included a mini-fridge, microwave, and free wireless internet. They offer a free hot breakfast in the morning. The dining room was packed when I arrived, so I took my food up to my room. We noticed several tour groups at the hotel that seemed to consist of retirees. Our room faced Montgomery and Harris Streets, which was not an issue in the evening/night, but in the morning I did hear big trucks outside. We would definitely stay here again - good price for a good hotel. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Nice hotel a little far from town. ."
Overall a very good experience. The biggest complaint is the lack of a legible sign. In all fairness we arrived after dark. The rooms are large and clean, the breakfast is very good and, if you are up to walking, it is not too far from the River.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Great room but charge for parking!"
This room was clean and very spacious! Only thing is there is a $12 fee per night for parking. Parking is located next door in parking garage. Overall, great price for a great room!Genuine Hotels.com guest review

The employees were very friendly and very helpful. The sheets on the king bed did not fit and kept pulling away from the ends. Also the breakfast was very disappointing. We were expecting real eggs. Food was not very flavorful.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Weekend visit. Room was clean and nice and not to far of a walk from River street. Breakfast was decent. Staff was nice. Room A/C did not work very well. They tried to charge me for parking and made me prove add said free parking. They should know this. Price was same for people who walked up as it was for booking on this site. Overall, good visit. We were there for 3 nights, everyone friendly, room clean which is really important. The staff was very friendly, had a nice time. Would definitely stay there again, easy to walk around from there.Genuine Expedia guest review
We asked the front desk for help with getting a cart to one of our 5 rooms to carry luggage down and the front desk staff told us sorry we only have two get it yourself. Was in shock by the front desk response.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Friendly Experience in a Fun City"
We really enjoyed the friendly staff, complete and varied breakfast offerings, decor, and location. The rooms were very nice with a separate living room area and comfortable and roomy bedroom. Only knock I can think of was the very tight underground parking lot. If you have a large car or SUV, good luck parking it down there. Also, the television was […] smallish. I would definitely return to this hotel. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Great hotel - perfect price."
Very large suite in the heart of Savannah with courteous hospitality and attention to detail in cleanliness and service. I look forward to my next visit.Genuine Expedia guest review
"A very pleasant stay"
Friendly staff. Clean, comfortable room. Quiet. We were on fifth floor. Easy walk to River street and a bit further to Mercer House. We actually did not use the trolley on the second day of our visit since all we wanted to see and do was within walking distance. I would suggest wearing comfortable walking shoes when visiting Savannah, especially since […] many sidewalks and streets are uneven stone and brick. I would recommend this hotel and would definitely stay again. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice hotel close to everything"
Overall, our stay was enjoyable except for two things: wifi connection was terrible, and, even though, the room was very clean, the carpet has not been thoroughly washed for quite awhile, which gave the room a smell of dirty socks. We did not spend much time in the room and ran A/C on low all the time, which helped the situation.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Beautiful Hotel in the Historic District"
This Hotel was very nice and comfortable. The room was excellent, no complaints. It had nice furniture and comfortable bed. The breakfast was excellent. It had a wide variety of items, that changed a little each day. Juices, cold cereal, english muffins, bagels, eggs, omelets, bacon, ham, oatmeal, fresh fruit. One thing I really enjoyed was eating on […] real dishes and real silverware. The breakfast attendants were very helpful and nice. They had water out all day and at about 5:00pm cookies came out at the front desk. Such a nice treat to have some cookies and coffee in the afternoon. This hotel also had a 24 hour coffee and tea station with herbal teas! The location was good for us. It was about a 20 minute walk to River Street. We walk pretty fast and like to walk too. To sum it up this was a beautiful hotel that we will certainly stay at again on our next trip to Savannah which I hope will be real soon!! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
Decent location. Close to forsyth park. Took about 10 mins to walk down to riverfront. Not as close to the action as other hotels, but not bad. The area was OK, but a little rundown compared to other areas. It was still safe however.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice hotel a short walk from the heart of Savannah"
The hotel was beautiful and quaint, the staff was always lovely and helpful. I was worried that since I was spending a lot less on this hotel it would be not as great, it was lovely! the pool is small, the gym is tiny, but it wasn't a game changer!Genuine Expedia guest review
Nice stay in the hotel. The staff is very friendly and helpful especially the concierge Diane. We even borrowed an umbrella from one of the staff because it was raining and we wanted to be out exploring the city.Genuine Expedia guest review

For $112 this place was a steal. Clean and comfortable.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
It was okay. Location could be better, but all in all it was within easy walking distance of most places you'd want to see. You get okay bang for your buck...but paying $12/day for parking was ridiculous.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Desk clerk very courteous and helpful -----room clean and comfortable. Would stay again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Not worth the price. Yes it's close to the historic area but it's also very close to a not so safe neighborhood. The staff, room & location left much to be desired.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
