Pros - Reasonable rate and gave me the room as per request as I had 2 rooms and wanted 1 twin and 1 double. WIFI was also good. Let us use meeting room for a conference call for 20 mins. Cons - Low on staff, took 15 minutes to get me a bottle of water, limited room service menu and did not have what I wanted. Says climate control in hotel details yet […] there is none, only radiators + windows to open if you are hot! I have not seen another 4 star hotel without A/C or climate control. Staff in general seemed not bothered about customer service and demoralised. I am a regular Jersey traveller and will not stay here again. Read more

My whole stay was lovely except the hotel wifi is not working inside the room so I did not manage to do my work. I made a comment at the hotel about this including their towel that is too thin and small not a 4star standard.

Housekeeping sometimes a little sloppy in that they left dirty towels in rooms by mistake one day and forgot to leave two clean towels. The attentiveness of staff was superb, sitting in the drawing room was so relaxing especially if coupled with afternoon tea! The one downside was that the radiators in the bedroom were too small to heat the room and […] if you spent any length of time in there it was cold and you needed a jumper. I was in your jersey hotel for two nights but my beds were not changed there was no toilet paper.The following night I called room service for a coffee and was told I could not have one because there was not enough staff ,what. A sham as the hotel was very reasonable but cleanliness is most important when you stay in a hotel.

Pleasant foyer area. Decor attractive. Bed firm but comfortable. Fairly quiet room. Bar could do with more atmosphere, no music on the two occasions we visited. Cooked breakfast very nice. The hotel is recently renovated to a high standard in the communal areas and offers excellent service in the restaurant, bar and breakfast areas. Only slight downside is the hotel is a converted townhouse so layout can be a bit odd and not all views are good

First impression was of a very smart modern hotel. The check-in process was very friendly despite us arriving 2 hours early. They allowed to leave our bags with tem whilst we went into St. Helier for lunch. We came back from lunch to be told our room was ready and our bags were taken up for us. The […] downstairs bar was very smart and the prices were reasonable, though it took a couple of attempts to convey our order to the member of staff. The only problem with the stay was when we went to bed and found the curtains were for decoration and did not pull all the way accross the window with only a net curtain trying to prevent the noise from the road and emergancy services yard and the light from the streetlights on the road into the room. A very pleasant hotel with excellent food and service. We used this hotel as a base for our Jersey Coastal walk. We were able to walk to the bus station and catch buses out to different locations around the coast.

Good hotel with well appointed rooms. Unfortunately a negative point was an uncomfortable bed (the mattress was hard and 'lumpy'). Breakfast and dinner good with very good, attentive service. Check out was efficient but it would have been nice if the receptionist had asked us whether we enjoyed our stay or not, rather than just taking our money!

Food was faultless espesicaly the evening meal in the resturant. The Staff were very friendly and went out of thier way to help. Found the location to be a lot better than expected after reading other reviews, only a 5 minute walk into town. The only faults we could find with our stay was that the water pressure in the shower could have been better […] and the head could do with a clean to clear blocked holes. The location of the hotel was good, a 10 min walk to shops, the marina, restaurants. The staff were friendly, though some struggled with language when taking breakfast orders. We did have a problem with noise in our room but the hotel staff quite happily moved us. There was a great jazz band on the Friday night.

The en suite bathroom was equally clean; however, we were rather puzzled as to why the toilet roll holder was fixed to the wall opposite! This Hotel is Smaller than you would think and although close to the town centre it was very quiet,our room looked over the pool to the rear of the hotel and so don't know if being at the front would be any different,can't imagine it would much though.Our room although compact had an average size bedroom and fairly large bathroom ( No toilet Brush ) […] ,some of the rooms interior doors are quite light in construction and therefore tend to make quite a lot of noise if closed with any more than a gentle push (minor point sorry.!) The breakfast area is very bright and airy and the staff here are very pleasant,especially Karolina always genuine and happy,the selection is good,cooked breakfast is ok.! Scrammbled eggs lovely.! There is as advertised a swimming pool,we never read the description right and thought the pool was inside and looked forward to a dunk,but as it is it's outside and wasn't warm enough for such frivolities unfortunately.Overall though if purchased at the cheaper price as we did,well worth a visit,has one of the nicest reception area's I've seen in a hotel,clean throughout ( I'm fussy)..Enjoy and don't forget to treat yourself at The swish Bohemia Restaurant ( Expensive but worth the Money ) and Little Thai a small place in the town centre,book both so as not dissapointed. We stayed for 4 nights and were very pleased with our choice of hotel which is well situated, about 10 minutes walk from the town centre and the seafront. The service was faultless. For a 4 star hotel, this was very disappointing. The staff whilst not un-friendly, were, on the whole, unhelpful and often, sloppy. Examples: (1) The outside of the hotel is shabby and uninviting. (2) The check-in experience was frustrating and slow, our room key cards did not work, the additional pillows we were promised did not materialise and they […] lost our suitcases. A lovely clean and modern hotel. I did book an internal view room so cant really grumble that my room literally overlooked a wall, but due to the time actually spent in the hotel this wasn’t an issue. The room was very clean and comfortable. My only issue which I found out on my return was that a family member had called the hotel to try and arrange […] some wine to be put in our room as we were celebrating a special wedding anniversary. They passed her from pillar to post and then said they would call her back with options but never did. I has also put on our booking that we were there for an anniversary but no recognition of this was made at the hotel. You don’t always have to give away free-be's but a card in the room or just a "happy anniversary" on arrival would have been nice. A lovely hotel but just that little something lacking in the helpfulness/friendliness of the staff. Read more
