Monticello Inn Framingham - Framingham

Price was good for the Framingham area, but it was very much a very run-down motel. The room was very hot when I entered and it was not the most comfortable of stays.

You can tell they're trying, the room was clean and had frig, microwave, coffee-maker. The mattress and bedspread were older but clean, sheets and towels were clean. Bathroom was clean. Just an older hotel, but for the location, the price was right for a 1-night stay.

The ceiling was falling in, the hot water was not working, the lamp shades were old and raggedy. There was something going on next room people slamming door in and out, could not use phone to call taxi to go anywhere. Best part about hotel close to Walmart etc. shopping. The worst hotel I have ever stayed at.

Very good location, extremely close to just about everything, and very low ambient noise despite being so close to RT-9. The room was very clean and tidy. Some of the tile in the bathroom should be relaid, but wasn't a huge issue. The main lobby needed the most work, so don't let it put you off to the conditions of the rooms; they are better. The only reason I stayed there was because it was about the cheapest place around. I had to go to Boston for a wake and funeral, and this wasn't that far out of town. The room was clean enough and the bed fine. It also seems that there are several rooms that house people for a lengthy stay. Not sure what that's all about. And the WIFI was absolutely […] horrible. Cleanliness is a major issue. The beddings have such a horrible odor and you definitely need to wash your nightwear after you get home because the smell never goes away. I will give this hotel only 1 star because there is nothing less than this number. We were there on July 9th, 2012. The bathroom was so disgusting that both of my children including me did not take a shower. Only my husband took a short shower. First we entered the room, it was very hot because the AC was off. When we first got there, my parents had just been on a ten hour flight so we just wanted to get into the rooms to relax. There was a problem with the reservation numbers though and the person at the front desk made us wait there for about an hour while on the phone trying to figure out the problem. I gave this place the benefit of the doubt having read other reviews and needing a cheap place to stay. Stayed here with my 4 year old daughter and saving money just isn't worth it. I was very worried for our safety here. The door/locks had been obviously tampered with in the past.

It was a cold night and there was no heat in the room. Also the hot water was only a small trickle in the sink and in the shower making it impossible to use. There were no bath towels either, only hand towels. The continental breakfast (at 7:45) had cold coffee, and English muffins and white bread for toasting, but the bread was stale.

Looked like a 70's motel that has aged none to gracefully. The room was clean. The non smoking room had no hidden wall, rug or fixture saturated left over smoke. A big plus. Plenty of hot water in the shower. Towels were course but clean. The bed was very comfortable and the pillows were perfect for me. Older TV worked well. Everything was manageable as per low rate but internet service never works in this type of hotel/motel. When we complain for it, they give execuses but real thing is that they disconnect the router and thus save some money.

Dissapointed that management was not concerned that the shower door is unable to be closed and water splashing on floor. The response was that, 'house cleaning will clean it, not a problem'.

Though the building was old and tired (room door stuck, old bathroom, loud flushing, hot water was a long wait, old but working A/C) it was clean and we enjoyed good service. Newer carpets, fairly comfy beds, fresh paint. Can't complain too much. For the price it was nearby our destination and we felt secure. Staff was pleasant and prompt.

This motel is by far the worst I've ever witnessed. I feared for my life. There were 40 torn out bathroom sinks on the lawn, next to a snow plow and dumpster. It looked like a graveyard. i have stayed at all kinds from best to bad, now i can change that to the worst. it took 3 times to get a room that had minimal issues. the first room, the rug under a/c was soaked, wet rug at bathroom entrance. the manager told me just put a towel over it..the second room had a damaged back window that would not close or lock,NG. the last room was […] itself not bad but the door locks had no plates in frame making entry possible without key and that was the lesser of 3 evils. i would never reccomend it to my worst enemy. unfortunately i am not exagerating. Decent room, linens were clean, new air conditioner. Bathroom was clean, but VERY dated. There were a few ants in the room. Staff was very nice and lobby was very nice. Thought it was decent for the price.
