"Perfect Stay"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 4, 2012
The Westin was perfect! Stayed in a suite with friends for a weekend away. The hotel was clean and the service was great. The location is perfect for walking and dining in the old port and totally accessible if you want to spend time downtown or further North. No complaints!

Price at the restaurant was high ei $16.00 for glass of house wine. Gym under reno and card for other facility didn't work

Staff is friendly, restaurants are wonderful, location ideal!
"Perfection in Old Montreal"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 3, 2012
We only stayed the one night at Place d'Armes hotel, on our way back to Vancouver and then home, but we wished we had more time, and will return. The hotel staff were both welcoming and efficient (not a combination one often finds), and the hotel itself was immaculate in every respect. The room was flawless in its design, the bed was soft enough to be comfortable, but not so soft as to feel like one is clambering from a bean-bag, upon rising, (as I found in so many hotels in the States!) I particularly appreciated that the designers had eschewed a bath/shower combination in the large bathroom, and installed a large, stone-clad, walk-in shower with a beautiful glass shower screen, instead. The location of the hotel was perfect for exploring Old Town Montreal by foot, which was just what we wanted to do, since we only had the one night. When we checked out, we left our luggage with Place D'Armes, mentioned when we would return for our flight and, when we did, a taxi was already awaiting us. Immaculate service.
"Comfortable & Convenient"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 2, 2012
Very comfortable room; close to airport - which is what I wanted.

"Great Hilton experience"
We loved our Hilton stay - the location was fantastic, close to McGill University, which is the reason we visited Montreal. I thought the restaurant was a bit pricey - $5/cafe latte is a bit much.. I also think they should inform their guys on the floor to either give proper directions/information or say that they don't know the area. Twice we asked […] for directions to different places within close proximity to the hotel, and twice we were given incorrect directions. Read more
"Montreal Hilton"
Nice looking hotel and the staff were pleasant. the room was small (not exectutive as was advertised) the hotel restaurant was not very good. not a grreat menu, pricey and everything seemed to have goat cheese on it. Parking was very tight and expensive.

"Worked out great for us"
The HIilton was a good value for a few nights in Montreal. Room was Clean, spacious with refrig., microwave, and coffee maker. My son loved the pool and hot tub, it was a nice place to chat with other families. Location was close to metro but if you like to walk you can walk everywhere. Good restaurants nearby and staff was VERY friendly. Would definitely […] stay here again. Read more
we spent three days in this Hilton, it's in downtown Montreal, close to Place des Artes metro station and within walking distance to various touristic places in downtown Montreal; we really enjoyed our visit to Montreal, especially the port with its architecture marvels. The hotel was really impressive in its cleanliness and the friendlyness of the […] staff; the room was big enough as to be with our 15 and 12 yo son and daughter and they enjoyed the heated pool, and the other amenities offered. After a thorough research before our trip, I'm glad we chose this hotel as it was over our initial expectation. Read more
"hilton garden inn - best weekend ever"
I stayed at montreal for 3 nights for my spring break. it was soooo incredibly fun, all the other spring breakers stayed there too... which made it even better. It's literally around the corner from the best clubs on St. Laurent. There is also an amazing pizza place right next to it, and a crepe 2 go place right next to that which was delicious. The […] hotel was a 20 min walk from old montreal which was nice. We had a 5 min walk the other way to the shopping too. The hotel rooms were even better than I thought. We got two rooms with 2 queen beds each, and they were spacious and the beds were incredibly comfortable. The rooms were so clean, and the bathroom was really nice too. There was an iPod jack, so we had a great party every night. We enjoyed our stay so much. The hotel staff was nice (except for one rude bartender) and there was a good security system (with the hotel cards) in place. The gym was super nice too, and we liked the hot tub and pool too. The only downside is that there was no breakfast included but we went to the crepe place next door, and on another day we tried the breakfast place across the street which wads delicious too. "Excellent Hotel, Great Staff"
Loved the Hotel, stayed with my kids for 2 days, not my frist time in Montreal tried many places this is the best, great staff very polite, generous Hotel, accomodating for kids, love the cleanliness, the pool was a great pass time, can't say anything bad. would recommend. One small detail, the cards magnetic strip is too sensitive, can't expect anyone […] to keep it separate from everything else in their purse (for ladies especially) :-) otherwise I would recommend this Location for anyone, except teenagers they will ruin it for families and people looking for a great place to rest, location great, close to all shops, downtown... Great Job hilton and Hotels.com for hooking me up with this top notch Hotel Read more

"Bon Jour!"
My family and I had a great time in Montreal thanks to the Hilton and hotels.com. Not only were they both very accommodating but they were both also very generous. And Montreal was very nice and welcoming in general. Hopefully we can make it back there soon.
"Great choice"
Loved the location and how accessible it was to nightlife in down downtown Montréal. Well kept overall. Comfortable rooms. Not excited about basement parking (6 floors down at times) but overall great affordable choice. Felt safety was priority coz keys are needed for access to everything and you also can't access other hotel floors unless it's a common […] area. This took some getting used to but appreciated it in the end. Read more
"Great Hotel"
The hotel is conveniently located for shopping, restaurants, clubs, and movies. The overall maintenance of the hotel and size of the room was really good. Only issue I had was that housekeeping slacked a bit and did not vacuum. The gym is tiny with cardio machines and dumbbells only. I was there in the winter season and parking was about $30, but the […] garage is heated and direct access to elevators with in and out privileges. Read more
"Good place"
Great place the staff working there was extremely friendly and very close to the metro too and it was just over all a great stay. Bed was a little hard, but nothing i can't move past ;)

"Great Stay."
Perfect location, very clean room, comfortable beds and pleasant service.
"Never stay anywhere else..."
This is the "bomb" when it comes to hotels. Price is excellent - staff is superior - quality of hotel is top notch - room and bed are extremely comfortable - room service is great - hotel is beautiful and clean - I don't think I could find anything negative to say about this hotel if I tried. I am in Montreal at least 3 times a year and this is the […] only hotel I stay at. I recommend it highly... Read more

"Great Experience"
Had a wonderful overnight in Montreal this weekend (what I can remember of it) Staff was friendly, room was excellent, and very comfortable. Loved the Mini fridge was great for keeping our drinks cold!
"HGI - Downtown Montreal"
Nice place, would stay there again. Room was great, the staff nice...good food. I would only change two things - their idea of a buffet is not quite right. Cold foods and juice are out front in a help yourself fashion, but if you wnat aggs, etc. you order it from a form on your table. Slows you down a bit. Second is parking. That parking garage is […] hard to navigate if you drive anything like an SUV. Oh - and check in first. You can't open the door to the garage until you check in! Read more
"Montreal Hilton Garden - perfect locale & comfort"
We visited Montreal for a weekend with our three kids age 4-11. We wanted to be close to our favourite spots and have a pool of course. The Hilton Garden Suites was perfect for us - close to downtown, McGill campus, trail up Mont-Royal (a must-see - follow Peel street up the mountain), Chinatown, Prince Arthur Ave (restaurants with bring-your-own-wine […] license). Old Montreal would have walkable, but we drove to that neighbourhood Sunday AM and parked on the street for free. The hotel itself was just as expected - nicer than we needed! Pool was small as expected, but with gorgeous view, and open until 11pm most nights. Hope we can go back next year. Read more
"Hilton Inn Garden Centreville Montreal"
Overall, the hotel is top notch. One of the reasons we chose it was because of the adjustable beds. It didn't seem to work for me----the bed was overly firm. The room lighting was insufficient, even with the draperies opened. The staff was wonderful;great location.
"Good deal"
This was a clean, well-kept hotel in a good location. It was about a 15 min walk to the Convention Center. Lots of places to eat and shop and sight-see within walking distance. My only complaint was that housekeeping was fairly aggressive... they would knock and come in even though we had our Do Not Disturb sign. The day that we were checking out, […] they knocked on our door at 10am, waking us up, to ask us when we were leaving so they could clean the room... Read more
"Beware The Hype"
We booked our stay at the Hilton Garden Inn thinking that we would be assured a comfortable stay in a reputable hotel. After an 12-hour trip via Amtrak from NYC, we were met with a non-working elevator that was keyed into a ridiculous card system that never quite worked right. Okay, bad enough but such glitches do happen. The next few days were passable, […] except that the Labour Day Weekend resulted in this small hotel being totally overwhelmed; poor planning on the part of management meant that our room was not cleaned on two different occasions and we had to complain. The pool was nice, on the 11-th floor with a panoramic view, but it was much too small for the amount of people using it; in fact, it was about the size of a good-size New York bathtub! Our room and the hotel in general were tastefully decorated and the hotel is centrally located but I wouldn't recommend staying here unless there are major changes. Read more
"Great hotel and close to lots of great resturants"
This is a great hotel, comfy rooms with fridge, microwave, coffee maker. But the location makes the difference with easy walks to many great neighborhoods, restaurants and shopping. Staff is professional and friendly. Our meeting that was held there was great, everything worked and the food service was excellent. Will definitely come back again!
"Clean and Comfortable"
My family and I had a very pleasant stay at this hotel.
"Family Friendly well Located Hotel."
A very family friendly hotel. Located close to the downtown area. Facilities were great and very available to customers. I would stay here again.
"Great Time in Monteal"
Location of hotel was perfect, close to St Catherines St, and a $7 taxi ride to old montreal... or you can walk as we did there and took a taxi back to the hotel... check out the pool and terrace on the top floor, very nice!!! Parking very convenient as the hotel elevator went down to the parking garage as well. Very easy and convenient stay with my […] wife and 3 kids... Read more
"Really nice hotel and location"
Everything was perfect but they had really hard beds, and not so good pillows and comforter. So sleeping was hard to get used to, eventually, though, we did and alcohol always help. Lol

"In for the weekend for some u2 shows and whatever"
I've travelled virtually everywhere in the US and hadn't been to Montreal in almost a decade. I've stayed at A LOT of hotels in my lifetime. this place is convenient, clean and affordable..The staff was very friendly and accomodating. Your search is over...
"Beautiful hotel..."
Love, love, love this hotel! It is beautiful inside and the room was lovely. The bathroom had a huge shower instead of a tub and great lighting. The bed was comfy and the comforter and pillows were soft and luxurious! The room had all the bells and whistles. In and out parking was very convenient and wasn't as pricey as other places I've stayed. I highly […] recommend this hotel even though it's on the higher end of the price spectrum for Montreal. "Great for Jazz Fest"
This is the second time I've stayed at this hotel while in town for the Jazz Festival and I would definitely stay here again (just 2 blocks away). The people are courteous, the breakfast is good (try the make it yourself belgian waffle) and the rooms are really clean. Unfortunately, they no longer had bathrobes in the rooms like the last time. Also, […] they only have 1 channel that sometimes plays movies - no pay per view! All other channels are basic cable. Anyway, if you are going to the jazz fest, this is the place to stay. Read more

"Nice place to stay"
The hotel is right in the heart of the city near restaurants and shopping. The rooms were very clean and spacious. Housekeeping was excellent and the front desk was very friendly and helpful all the time. The checkout process was easy too! No worries... clean...safe...comfortable.
"The Hilton Garden Inn, Montreal is a great hotel"
We had an excellent time staying at the Hilton Garden Inn in Montreal. Our room was very clean, comfortable and quiet. The location is perfect. Right in the center of everything. The breakfast was fantastic and the service was great. Everyone we met was super friendly. The top floor has a beautiful fitness area, pool, whirlpool, and sauna. After a long […] day walking around the city it is a wonderful way to relax before heading out for the evening. The security system takes a bit of getting used to. Make sure you take your room key with you wherever you go or you could get stuck somewhere you don't want to be! Be extra careful about this if you are travelling with children. This was my second stay here and I will definitely come again. Read more

"Excellent location and staff"
Hotel staff recommended 2 excellent restaurants for dinner (Modavie - French cuisine, Devi - Indian). The hotel is located within walking distance to underground shopping and a quick cab ride to Old Montreal. Good central location. I would definately and probably will stay at this hotel again.
"Hilton Garden Inn-Montreal Centre-ville"
The hotel staff was very helpful and polite. The room was clean and comfortable. The location was within walking distance from everything. I drove up from NJ parked my car and walked from the hotel to Old Montreal. The only con is that there is an additional cost for parking. Overall the people were nice and friendly everywhere we went, the hotel was […] warm and inviting, and I would definitely recommend the hotel to anyone traveling to Montreal. Read more
"Great hotel, would stay here again."
Overall experience with this hotel was pretty positive. My only reason for not giving a higher rating was because on our first night there of 2 nights, they were out of non-down pillows (allergy issues) so the sleep wasn't as comfortable as it could have been. But the hotel staff provided us with non-down pillows for the 2nd night. The complementary […] breakfast is AMAZING compared to other hotels, which was a big plus and makes it worth the extra $$$ to stay here in my opinion. Location is great, no problem walking around in the downtown area, it's not right in the action, but all the action is a short walk away. Read more
"We would stay again"
Hotel was really nice. Staff was super helpful and really nice whenever we asked for something. Beds were a bit hard, but were actually really comfy to sleep in. Hotel restaurant was amazing. Such good food! My girlfriend and I would definitely return if we go back to Montreal.
