King Hotel - Amsterdam

Arrived early in the morning with our bags, and was asked to produce a printout showing the room had been paid for (we'd paid via hotels.com). When we said we couldn't produce a printout, but could show a confirmation email via one of our phones, we were told this was unacceptable. We were told to go three blocks away to an internet cafe to make the […] printout, and did so dragging our bags back and forth in the rain. When we got to the internet cafe, we were told they didn't have a printer, and never did. Upon returning to the hotel, we were finally permitted to forward the clerk the email, and then dismissed until check-in time which was six hours from our arrival time. Thankfully, they held our bags. When we did finally get to check in, we were asked to pay a key deposit and an additional fee for a local tax. The hallways of the hotel were in need of TLC - scuffed and dirty carpets. The room itself contained a double bed comprised of two twin beds, with a three-inch gap between them. Two comforters the width of a twin bed comprised all the blankets, and beneath them there were a nice assortment of brown hairs. The pillows were so lumpy as to give the impression of cotton cloaked golf-ball sacks. The television stopped working abruptly at one point and never went back on duty. The bathroom was reasonable in size, and the shower had wonderful water pressure. The room safe lacked a battery. The room itself looked onto an alley, and the windows had to be opened to let out the musty smell of the room, but doing so invited the strains of conversation of some college-aged stoners well into the night. The area was fantastic. But after a night in the hotel, we bit the bullet and checked out, booking a new hotel (the lovely Inntel Hotel in Central Amsterdam) and ate the money we'd already paid for this crap heap. Overall? This Hotel is fine if you just want somewhere to sleep change and wash inbetween exploring amsterdam. Its position means it is an easy walk to leidaplain and canal ring but naything els you may need to use public transport which is very easy and cheap. I and my sister have recently stayed at the King H. in Amsterdam . The place is situated excellent just 1 min walk away to the heart of the city. It is placed by the river and it has a few parking spaces in front ( for those who might have a car).. I made the booking with months before to make sure they have a good offer and...they had but...with nonrefundable […] money. ( it was a litlle cheaper than the normal deal) . Rule: Do not accept nonrefundable money even if it is a bit ceaper!! You can always change your mind there and the agency find you a better place incase you are unhappy. We filled the papers for check in . There we paid a citytax ( 15e for us) and 20e for the key which they return to you when you check out. Rule: Have some cash ready with you ! The lady receptionist gave us the key , we took the lift till 4th floor to find the room. I opened the door and shock!!! A small dakness room small window facing some walls outside no space small bed with some horrible sheets small bathroom no wordrobe no tv no... nothing. A real dump! I took my bags back to the reception and tell kindly and polite to the lady I can not stay in that room. She started saying : What is wrong with the room? I explaint..and she replayed : It is only 2 star hotel ! What were you expected ? I said that I want my money back I am really sorry for any inconvenience but I can not stay in those conditions.Sha said I have to deal with my agency for the refund. I called them they were very flexible and keen on helping me although I had nonrefundable money . They called the lady to try to fix the issue...well my problem. L'entrée de l’hôtel fait très peur et les escaliers sont très raides! L'accueil et le cadre de l’hôtel est très sympathique. Notre chambre était très bien aménagée et propre. Le petit déjeuner est en buffet. L’hôtel est très bien situé, à proximité des nombreux cafés typique du pays :) ..... Nous n'avons pas eut besoins de prendre les transports en […] communs. Pour le parking, la plupart du temps il n'ya a pas de parking propre à l’hôtel. Il faut se garer dans la rue 36€ par jour. les parking fermés sont beaucoup trop chère environ 60€ par jour. Comptez 5.5 % de taxes de séjour à payer sur place et une caution de 20€ pour les clés (rendu lors de votre départ) En conclusion niveau rapport qualité prix il est très bien! A recommander! Das Hotel war sauber. Aber das "Frühstück war ein Witz. Genauso wie die Räumlichkeiten des Hotels. Türrahmen fehlten, super kleine Räume und Flure. Sehr steile Treppen. Mit Koffer oder hohen Schuhen war das ein Abenteuer. Das Zimmer war super klein und sehr hellhörig. Außerdem wirkt alles unfertig. Die Wände könnten mal wieder gestrichen werden. Dafür […] hat das Hotel ne super Lage. 50 Meter weiter ist man in der Innensradt. Wer also nur Wert auf ne super Lage und ein Bett zum Schläfen und ein akzeptables Bad legt, ist dort genau richtig. Das Hotel würde man von Sauberkeit und Komfort eher in Südeuropa erwarten und evtl akzeptieren. Für ein EU-Land ist hier etliches zu bemängeln und nicht mehr akzeptabel. Die Möbel sind schäbig und abgewohnt, Teppiche schmutzig und verschlissen. Aber man wohnt eben sehr zentral in Amsterdam. Wem das reicht?

仕事で２泊しました。 街の中心に近く、トラムの駅にも至近で移動しやすい場所にありました。入り口が小さくて入るところが分かりにくく、また鍵がかかっていました。チャイムでホテルの方が解錠してくれます。最初に訪れた際には注意をしてください。 部屋はこじんまりとしたものでしたが、まずまず静かでゆっくり休むことはできました。朝食はパンとハム、チーズ、シリアル、ゆで卵、飲み物でした。 一人旅にはいいのではないでしょうか。２人で過ごすホテルとしては殺風景かなぁと思います。
