I can't believe that Hotels.com actually lists this place. It was horrible...cigarette burns in the bedspread, furniture looked like they picked it up from the side of the road. Loud, pounding noises from upstairs until into the morning hours. Don't go here..

Good basic hotel for short stays. No complaints. The hotel was easy to find and the location was good. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room had the basics and the bed was comfortable so it was just what we were looking for. It could use some updating so I gave it a 3 on that rating. I would stay here again.

This little motel was the one of the best(cheapest) priced in the area. The room looked clean when we arrived, however we actually found trash under the blankets of the beds. Obviously the linnen had not been changed, and the bed hardly made. We told the overnight staff, and she personally came and changed it, and told us they had been having problems […] with the maid, and that this was the proof they needed to do something about it. Otherwise the room was clean and in decent shape. They did have a mini-fridge, microwave, coffee maker, iron and board, telephone, TV, and clock/radio/alarm in the room, as well as a meeting table with two nice chairs and a third chair at a nice desk. The NonSmoking room, smelled nice when we walked in and the AC worked well. The water was hot and plenty of it, with great water pressure in the shower. The beds are a little old, and the motel did not have extra pillows even when asked. Check in/out was amazingly simple since we booked with expedia. The motel was conviently located to many resturants, but did have some road noise even with the door locked and the AC on. The carpet seemed clean even though other reviewers claimed to have problems. It is not as nice as other hotels such as the Hamption inn, but much cheaper. All in all-- I would say it was an acceptional value, a comfortable room with a friendly staff. We are likely to stay here again but we will bring our own extra pillows. Read more

Nice little motel,it is small but nice.The bathroom looks new with an enclosed tub/shower. They could use a new tv the one they had is around 15 or 20yrs old.

I chose this hotel based on the ratings of others. In town on business for four days. Hotel does not have a pool, either indoor or outdoor. On the last night of my stay, I was walking around bare foot as I had packed away my slippers. I noticed after a while that my feet began to feel sticky, as if walking on a floor that someone had spilled soda on […] or something like that. I took my still wet from a shower washcloth and wiped the bottom of One foot and the wash rag was Black with dirt! The carpet Appeared clean, but was anything but! In fairness, the TV worked very well, the AC was superb, and the free WiFi worked well. The "straw that broke the camels back", for me, at least, was having to pay a quarter for ice, which should be free. I will not book this hotel again should I need to stay in Elizabeth City, NC! Unfriendly staff/owner, would not answer questions on area directions and attractions. He had no information/handouts and he gave the totally wrong directions. He said he was 23 miles from the beach, it ended up being close to 60. If we would have known the correct distance, the unwillingness to be helpful or friendly we would have never stayed. We had to visit Elizabeth City for a funeral. It was a quick 2 day trip.Travelers Inn is a little run down but it was clean and quiet and the bed was comfortable. The staff was very friendly!! It was nice for the price.

Not bad if you demand little. Very little. Facial soap only. Shampoo but no conditioner. It was clean, but they are skimpy on the room amenities. The breakfast was the bare minimum as well.

Not a bad hotel for the money. Certainly not a 5 star hotel but for a nights stay it was OK. We stopped there on our way to the Outer Banks and would do it again. It was clean. The beds were not bad. Bathroom was small but OK. Room was quiet. Good pizza joint down the street. Waterfront not to far away. Mall close (ish).

Nothing really stands out for this hotel other it's an adequate stop if you're looking for a place to stay overnight that is accessible to the Outer Banks (about an hour's drive) and inexpensive. The front desk staff was a little tough to reach, but I think they may have just been short staffed that day/night.

The rooms are basically you get for what you paid. We left for the day only to return that we were missing a few items. I hope the person enjoys the items. Ice is NOT FREE you have to pay for the ice. The continental breakfast is a cup of coffee and a little debbie coffee cake. For a few dollors more spend the time on the beach.

This is a no-frills hotel, which we expected. But the fridge in the room knocked louder all night long than the pizza man did when he came to the door. Also, we were placed in a room directly above the lobby and all we heard for most of the night, other than the fridge knocking was the doorbell ringing downstairs. What a headache. Oh and we thought […] we were going to fall through our tub when we tried to shower. There were Squishy parts of the tub, and it was on such an incline that we had to stand sideways in there to keep our balance. Our door was a pain in the butt to open. You literally had to throw all your muscle into the door to move it, and that was when the key cards actually worked. We had to get them re-keyed while we were there. Read more

Room spacious, clean. very comfortable bed. Heating unit difficult to adjust temperature and very moldy smelling when used. Despite this, I would stay here again. Staff was very nice.

The nicest thing I can say about my stay here is that I got a bed in a room and it was clean. There was nothing in the room that told me about anything in the area, in fact there was no Bible. I was also surprised to find no one in the office at 7 AM when I went to check out. Also a 25 cent charge for ice. C'mon.

Decent place, clean & prepared. Refrigerator made a fair amount of noise until I unplugged it. Otherwise, it was very acceptble. There aren't alot of places in town for breakfast (real breakfast), except McDonalds.

The man who greeted us upon arrival could have cared less that we were there. The office was small and unimpressive. There was no breakfast available in the am. The room was adequate, but not great. I would not go back there.

This hotel is nothing fancy, but for other hotels in the area being much more expensive, it's a good deal. The air conditioner in the room was new and worked very well, and in the summer, that's a very good thing. The breakfast is nothing more than cereal, juice and if you're lucky a donut stick. Hotels.com gave us a confirmation for a NON-smoking room.... which is what we got, however, the confirmation at the hotel was for a smoking room. The room was OK, nothing much, the bathroom tub was a nightmare. Handicapped shower was not working properly and the water temp, was almost impossible to regulate.

This is across from the College of Albermarle and not far from Albermarle Hospital. It was convenient to both the Outer Banks as well as Hertford N.C. where the party we attended was held. The Albermarle Plantation was the actual location of the party ( 50th wedding celebration) and this location allowed us to get there in 45 minutes and get to the […] Beach in a little over an hour as well.
