A little far from Boston and restaurants, but the hotel's amenities were great, rooms were very clean and comfortable. The only real negative was the lack of a complimentary breakfast of any sort. It was definitely something I would consider before staying here again.

We stayed here 3 days for our wedding. We specifically picked the hotel because it had a clean look in the rooms that worked well for our pre-wedding pictures from the photographer. Everything went well, the service was great, and the breakfast (although not free) was also good - and reasonably priced. We also took a quick break at the pool for the […] kids in our wedding party. The pool is sleek, clean, and good temp. No hot tub though. For us the best part of the hotel was their lounge area/bar/pool table in the lobby. When our wedding venue kicked us out we were able to hang out there with no problem. I was worried it would be quiet and they'd want us to leave, but there were multiple groups there and we had no issues staying as long as we wanted, even after the bar was closed. Read more

Hotel was clean, simple, nice. Room was fine. TV didn't work - had to have someone come up to fix. Next morning heard every single door on the floor slam starting around 7:30 am. Then what sounded like a girl guide convention outside our door. Impossible to sleep after 7:30. Brutal way to end the stay.

Wasn't happy nor upset with the stay. Got a completely different room with only one bed instead of the two I ordered. The pool was disgusting. Bandaids and hair everywhere. Prices are kinda high too for snacks. But other than that, it was ok.

Poor service. Employees were rude at both check-in and checkout. Hotel waa not full at all, yet employy abruptly said "you dont have a reservation" when he could not find me, making it my problem and not his. I pulled out my confirmation from hotels.com and he found it. No appology. Upon asking about adding my guest reward number, again a rude reply […] telling me thar they dont give points for hotels.com bookings. Then he puts me in THE room farthest away - they have extremely long corridors - i think just because he wanted to be mean. I think he qas annoyed that he had to stop flirting with a couple of girls who were in the loby to check me in, and so decided to be as unpleasant as he could I thought maybe he was just one bad apple - but then at checkout, got the same rudeness by someone else. I stayed on March 23, 2013 and had two queen beds with 4 people on the reservation. I checked in around 3:30p and was greeted by the absolute least friendly and helpful young woman I have ever dealt with at a hotel. The amenities listed bottled water in the room for free. We were given one small bottle of water for 4 people, 2 of which were pregnant. […] When I asked for more, I was told I could purchase it in the Cafe. I tried to contact house-keeping to resolve the issue and was told I was not allowed to speak with them directly. When one of my guests called down to ask how to get an outside line on the phone, she was told that this woman had no idea and to search the room for instructions. Later, a friend showed up to visit us and the woman not only did not know my name (she called me by the wrong name, repeatedly), but when I told her it was OK to send my friend up, she told me to come down and get her. It was only at my friend's urging that she called back and handed the phone to her to get the room number directly from me. Even more annoying, the husband of one of the women staying with us tried to call our room and was refused, because, even though he knew my name and room number, he could not remember my last name. Great location if you have a car (free parking and right on the main freeway around Boston). You can also start walking on the Minuteman National Historic Trail right from the hotel which is neat. There's NOTHING right nearby, so you do have to have a car.

A fairly modern take on a hotel experience. Nice rooms (a bit IKEA focused in decor). Plenty of outlets in logical places for business travelers. Next time I will be sure to bring my swimsuit as the pool is saltwater and looked quite inviting.

I loved the hotel but the heater wouldnt work right. I had to go to the front desk twice before my room was switched. I wish the location was a little better. There was no store or restaurant near by you had to travel. Overall teh hotel was beautiful.

Loved the atmosphere, but there were a few hiccups with the design. The pool was heated, but the room was freezing because of issues with the heating system. We were told we could go to the other hotel and use their pool. Um...just what I want to do go swimming and then walk outdoors in 10degree weather. Second the room doors were very heavy and slammed […] loudly when shut, therefor when hotel staff were cleaning rooms and going in and out (not sure why they couldn't just leave the doors propped open) it sounded like there was a team of angry teenagers. Third there is no hotel restaurant, or room service, or places to eat close by. The last thing I want to do is drive for half an hour looking for a place to eat. They did give me some brochures of places that deliver-pizza and chinese. Sigh. I did like that they were dog friendly, although I thought it odd they don't provide dog bowls. I had to use the ice bucket. They had nothing in the rooms that explained the surrounding area or things to do. Oh, and our $18 movie "wreck it ralph" cut out half way through. Needless to say we didn't have the best experience. Hopefully they'll upgrade some of these issues to make it more of a destination. Read more

This was our third visit. The location, staff, cleanliness are great. Aloft is very pet Friendly and we appreciate that when we travel. We were disappointed with a Couple things this visit. First the WiFi didn't work. When we asked the desk for help they said to turn off and turn on the wireless on our iPads. This would result in us getting a signal […] for about two minutes and then the signal would be lost again. Very frustrating for a four day stay. Second, the bottom sheet was a flat, not fitted sheet. Every morning it would be a bunched up mess. Third, to a lesser degree, the maids failed to replenish the body lotion or tea bags on three of the four days. We are going to try the sister hotel Element for the next visit. Hopefully at $30 more per night, we'll get reliable Internet and fitted sheets. Read more

This is one beautiful hotel. Ultra-modern done in Japanese (or Swedish?) minimalism. The place looks like it was designed by the Museum of Modern Art. Gym, pool (currently being renovated), pool table, wifi, etc. And it was reasonably priced! Unfortunately,there are two problems: 1. they have some sort of "motion detector" type of heating system that […] turns off the heat when no-ones in the room and it didn't work. I froze for two days, until I played with the system and hit buttons at random before the heat went on. And then it went up to 75. 2. The wifi in the room is so weak as to be unusable. Even in the lobby it was annoyingly slow. I go to Boston periodically and I'm willing to try this hotel again, but they've got to work out the heating bugs. As a bonus, the place is pet-friendly and they gave us a bag with doggie treats and a ball upon check-in! Read more

Had a wonderful stay! The location is really nice in that it is only a few miles away from the Burlington Mall, or a little farther still from the Natick Mall, which you can go visit for food, shopping, entertainment, etc. There was a dog across the hall that was a little yappy, but it didn't interfere with any of our sleep, so it was fine.

We're an older couple with some small handicaps. Since we're accustomed to more space in the room, we found the small, tight room to be unwelcoming. There is not "extra" space to relax leisurely w/o being on the bed. When one wishes to watch TV the other has no choice! At times we would have welcomed Room Service which is not available.

my first impression was ok, i saw it as another hotel nothing to show. THey do have a sister hotel located directly across them which was interesting because you can visit both if you would like to use there fitness center or pool; both hotels do have there own pools and gyms. my only problem really is that they double charged me for a one night stay, […] It was very frustrating to see this and to call them to make sure it was corrected. They did however resolve it fairly quickly and asured me it would be corrected. One part i really loved what the night life. At night the entire place becomes a bar/lounge, it is like a whole new place at night which you would never know until you experienced it. not to mention thwe parking is free with a great price (tough to find these days). Your WiFi is actually horrible. You advertise free WiFi as a value prop, but then deliver a poor product. I checked my iOS devices at the Apple Store and they work fine. But not in aLoft. This is not a luxury, it is essential for my work.

If you are uncomfortable in small spaces I wouldn't recommend this hotel for you. It is called "a loft" for a specific reason! The beds are highly uncomfortable and the rooms remind me of my college dorm. Definately perfect If you need a place to only "crash" for the night.

We arrived early for check-in. They didn't have a king room available right away, but they said they would have one available in about an hour. They took our number, so they could contact us when it was ready. It was lunch time, so we asked where we could get some lunch. They gave us a great recommendation at a local restaurant and gave us directions. […] About 30 minutes later, they called and told us our room was ready and would be waiting for us when we got back to the hotel. They were really great and helpful the entire time we were there. The room was clean and comfortable. There are really only two areas that they could use some improvement on. One, their free wireless internet was extremely slow, but I cannot complain too much considering it was free. Two, they should put up more tables where people can eat at.
