Very impressed with this hotel. Not much to look at from the outside, but a slice of heaven once you arrive. Close to the night market, great seafood and some exotic entertainment We will be back

For a first time visit in Bangkok this is the ideal hotel. It's located about a 10 minute walk to the sky train and you're surrounded by street food, bars, and other conveniences (like getting laundry done for dirt cheap)! The hotel is stylish, the breakfast was superb, and the staff are extremely polite and friendly.

Not a 5 star hotel. I was having breakfast a breakfast buffet with grill stations and the grill cook and staff refused to let me cook the salmon sashimi. This is ridiculous , why does it matter if I eat my fish raw or cooked? This is not 5 star service. You are just being cheap trying to make people eat as little salmon as possible by only serving it […] raw and the price for Sunday Brunch was $87.00, this is absurd behavior at this price point . I am deeply offended by this. Also the wife is $15.00 ++ per day, when many other 5 star hotels include for free. Clean organized well kept hotel. Location was questionable but it was like an oasis in the middle of Sodom and Gomorrah... Professional friendly staff with welcome frapaccino upon arrival which was nice touch. Room was clean and modern and well decorated in a chic fashion. Hop across the street and lots of cheap interesting food to taste. Shopping street […] about a block away which seems to disappear and reappear every night. Tips on bargaining: they start up high, so counter at quarter of asking price then raise a bit more and start to walk away and they will drag you back where you can really bargain. Foot massage was great, Thai massage was painful but good. They expect tip for massage, so plan on 20% tip. Try the local noodle soup, ignore the surroundings (my friend was clean freak and was not enjoying) and focus on the food and taste. Be careful! The hotel adds extra fees for more than 2 people in a room. The fee was more than the cost of another hotel room. Other than that we really enjoyed our stay. There are lots of cute and helpful staff.

From the moment you pull up to this hotel you will know you have made a good choice. The place is sweet, think Standard in LA, or W in NYC. Rooms are awesome, we had a corner room, staff were super friendly, spa was great, pool deck was great and if you are leaving BKK on a late flight (like most people are) they let you use the Spa, Gym and showers […] to freshen up before heading to the airport. The hotel is in a great location and had great service. The only negative is the setup of the room and bathroom.......only a couple of drawers to put clothes away, and the bathroom and toilet share a sliding door between the two......somewhat uncomfortable.

Starwood's Le Meridien in Bangkok is simply a beautiful hotel in a great location (if you want to be near the Patong Night Market. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and the hotel was beautiful.

If you are NOT a sex tourist, stay away from this area and choose an hotel on or near the river. Other than the sex shops and fake goods, there is little to want to see in this area of town. Jim Thompson has a shop a short walk from the hotel which is worth a visit - beautiful things but not cheap!! The reviews on this site do not reflect this area […] of town particularly well. I guess the guys who are gushing about it have their own reasons! Having walked across the street with my wife, within 2 minutes I had someone thrust a 'menu' in my face asking if I wanted to see women do various things with ping-pong balls or fish or........... I am not a prude but this was pushing the boundaries of acceptability. As for the hotel itself - don't bother spending the extra for the round bed - it's a rip off - simply a regular room where the normal bed has been removed and a round bed substituted - it simply cramps the room. The picture on the website doesn't reflect the room that you get - glass on two sides of a round bed looks nice - reality is a small room, dominated by a round bed. I paid for wi-fi through expedia as part of the additions to my stay, yet they had no record of this on the hotel system, even when asked if this was included. The staff in the bar were less than friendly! Only ate there the once as a result! Overall, the hotel is clean and very modern. Rooms are small. Location is only for those looking for something fake or fast and loose! Read more

I suddenly found myself in Thailand after my mother had been medi-vac'ed to Bangkok because she had contracted a life-threatening infection during a mission trip to Cambodia. I have to admit that I was […] in severe culture shock as Bangkok can be overwhelming for the unprepared traveler. For two weeks, I went back-and-forth from the hotel to the hospital. Le Meridien became nothing short of an oasis for me amidst the madness of the city. Everything was superb and went well-beyond my expectations, especially the staff that always greeted me with smiles and anything I could want, often before I even knew I wanted it. I had the chance to visit a hotel that was twice the price, and I could say that I would choose le Meridien over the more expensive hotel any day. Stayed first time in Le Meridien in Bangkok as there was a special deal. Finally the hotel is quite nice for the locations, rooms are contempory fashionable, but I was not feeling welcome in that room. Nothing was really bad, but nothing was really good, beside the location. Next time I will try out other locations.
