Liked our second stay here. The staff is friendly, and the Mist restaurant is decent. We swam in the pool with our child and he loved it. "Art" in the rooms is a bit odd, but other than that is a great place.

I enjoyed my stay here and the room was very nice with an actual balcony. I stayed the prior night at a different "resort" that advertised a balcony, which ended up being more of a ledge. Only complaint would be the room was a sauna inside! Had to leave patio door open awhile to cool it down.

This is the second year in a row we stayed at the Surftides. Wonderful beach location. We've had an Ocean View room both stays and it's a must. Staff was pleasant and quick.

The room would have been perfect with two changes. It would have been perfect if there had been a place for us to unpack our clothes and if the gas fireplace worked more than once. There was a big table desk, end tables on either side of the bed and a dining table, but no bureau. Also, there was not a luggage rack to set our suitcase on and we had to […] store it on the floor. The gas fireplace was one of the reasons we selected the room and we were very disappointed that it was on a timer and that it only worked once. This was a two night stay for romance and relaxation. At first arrival the lot was clean and there was some new remodel to the motel, as we entered everything was clean but the room was small. We left the room but left the television on, for some room protection, when we returned the set was off, I called the desk and they said that they were having […] troubles with televisions. Went to take a shower and the drain was plugged and the tub kept filling with water, called the desk again and mentioned that, I must add that the staff was egger to fix the complaints but it was late at night. We ordered one meal from the motel restaurant and it was so bad that we could not eat it. Nice sized room with fridge, microwave, small but serviceable lanai. Indoor swimming pool w/exercise room, outdoor barbecues with multiple firepits. Nice restaurant and bar nearby. All the pieces are there, just not fancy. Hence, linoleum resort. Less than 2/3ds the cost of Salishan and right on the beach.

Our first night was a nightmare. We were in the lower section, the 'old section' of the hotel and it was extremely noisy--noisy pipes, floors, and the people above us were extremely inconsiderate, walking around (sounded like stomping) most of the night. Chairs were stained and disgusting. Dirt in the corners everywhere. Room service took over an hour and got cold food when it arrived. Food came in a "to go" box with no silverware. Great location for a hotel everything else was poor.

The room wasn't very clean and seemed to have missed out on the updates several of the other rooms received. The toilet ran continuously, they sent someone for maintenance but it didn't resolve the issue. The last day of our stay while in the shower the water was shut off mid-shower with no warning! The stay was better than expected. However our fireplace did not work, and the maid service did not come in and change our towels out. The staff was very friendly and accomodating and allowed me access to the exercise room before the normal operating hours. We will stay again.

The room was the perfect size with a king size bed, desk and full size couch. It also had a microwave and refrigerator. It was very close to the beach and had a beautiful ocean view and a gas fireplace. The staff was very friendly and let me check in early which was greatly appreciated. It is a great location right up against the ocean. We were excited to hear about all of the fun offerings (barbecue each night... hidden mermaids to get prizes), but we had trouble with the service. We had four people in our room, but they only gave us two towels. We went to the counter and pointed it out and they were quick to give us more... but the […] next day when we had our room cleaned... we were back to only two towels. This is the only hotel that has ever had this particular issue. The only other issue we came up against was the general state of the room. wifi didnt work most the time, bathroom fan so load you couldnt use it, and room cleaning and new towols didnt happen till 2:30 pm they wanted $50.00 to hold to make sure you pay for any thing you break. They do give back But I thought it was out of line.

Staff was very friendly and helpful, although our stay was two nights and when the room was cleaned after the first night, the dirty glasses and cups were not removed and clean ones left and the bath mat was removed and not replaced. The facility is dated but a balcony with an oceanview was great.

Overall the hotel needs to be upgraded. Rooms ae old and drity. There was no parking by our room and the places that were there are to small fr a full size car. It's going to cost me $500.00 just to get the dings in my doors fixed.

I was very pleased with the hotel, it's location to the beach, and our room. One thing that I would change was the bed. It was so hard that it caused me some pain, but with the body pillow I brought it helped. Instead of being yucky carpet that you don't know if it's been cleaned in forever it was linoleum that looked like aged wood. I've never been in a hotel that gave me non-carpeted floors and it's not only a brilliant idea, for the beach it's perfect.We did have some people that smoked on the balcony, even-though they we not allowed and that brought smoke into our room, but that wasn't the hotel's fault as it stakes in the paper you sign on check-in that you are NOT allowed to smoke on the balcony. Have stayed at many hotels in Lincoln city and Newport. This hotel had a beautiful beach with easy access. Sheltered fire pit area with plenty of seating. Great hotel right on the beach with an awesome view. Loved the smores kit and the fire pit. Hotel itself seemed a little old. Carpets need some attention and there was mold in the bathroom. But overall we really enjoyed our stay.
