"Blackpool - disappointing destination"
Parking space too small to fit our hire car but manager did provide his own car space for us. Was expecting 2 Italian ladies owners based on feedback given previously only to find 2 men had recently taken over. Room not as clean as it could have been. Bathroom too small. Couldn't have picked up soap if it had fallen down in the shower. Street noise […] too loud, no double grazing on windows Room looked very tired. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Spacious, clean, friendly bnb"
I went to Blackpool for my birthday, on the 11 January. The walk from the bus/coach station was only roughly 5/10 minutes walks. It was close to clubs and bars if you're going for that, also close to the main shopping strips, which are close to the bars. Roughly 15/20 minutes walk. Upon arrival me and my friends was greeted, we were told where our room was, which we were able to fit 5 people into! The pricing was extremely cheap too! We were told when breakfast was, which was lovely too! With a selection of cereal and a fry up.

booked into the Beachcomber, as i was working close-by (at the Winter Gardens) and it turned out to be the perfect location. Breakfast was excellent with good choice. Bedroom was quite spacious and spotless, with very good facilities. Free parking was a bonus. Will be returning for the pigeon and darts events in 2014. Many thanks to Mick and Malc.

Best bed and breakfast in Blackpool and in a perfect location. The greeting was friendly and helpful. The room was very clean and the breakfast was delicious and kept you full all day. Plenty of free parking. Mick and Mally are the perfect hosts.

"Disappointed in Blackpool"

Very warm and friendly welcome by two of the three new management men,Mally & Mick who also helped us up all the stairs with our load of luggage. We had an excellent breakfast, by Steve; could not fault it. Disappointed after asking and we were told the two Italian ladies were no longer running the hotel (and cooking their scrumptious Italian cuisine). Also we had not been informed prior to arrival by our booking agent, even though we had been booked in for several months in advance after lots of research into where we would stay. One of the main reasons we decided on Beachcomber was all the reviews of cleanliness, especially noting the linen(and the Italian Cooking). The room we had was small, very hot and smelled, even though they said we had their best room. The bed was dirty and uncomfortable- some dried food/rice on the bedspread. There was what looked like makeup/powder smeared on the doona we were meant to sleep under-so we didn,t use it either. The sheets were stained (even the one we asked for in place of using the doona) and the mattress was old with bad springs- my husband rolled to the edge of the bed over night and fell out. My back was so sore in the morning I could hardly move. The bathroom seemed clean, though more attention was needed on the toilet where old dribbles had run down the outside of the bowl and the towels were stained. We were booked in for two nights but there was no way we were going to stay the second night. My husband wasn't feeling 100%, so we made that our excuse to leave, sorry guys.

A very welcoming, clean tradtional b&b where nothing was too much trouble for the new owners. We found this lovely clean hotel last minute after walking out of another hotel In Blackpool. The owners were extremely friendly, helpful and welcoming with 2 young children. It's less than 10 minutes walk to sea front. Would recommend if you are looking for a good standard 3* hotel with good food and friendly owners. Contact them directly as you'll get a bettet price.

What a pleasant surprise, worried it was under new management, but the Beachcomber is immaculate, white bed linen and towels lovingly washed by Malcolm. Tea and coffee replenished daily. A wonderful breakfast and the chef Steve and Mick the part owner always cheerful. So a wonderful stay, just wish there had been a lift......

Just spent a night at this B&B as going to a family party in Blackpool. Room was great. Very clean and nicely decorated as was the en-suite. All needs catered for. Tea/coffee making facilities in room together with little extras in the bathroom all went towards a stress free nights stay. The staff were really friendly and helpful. This really made for a pleasant stay. The breakfast was plentiful and very well cooked to order. Definitely stay there again.

The room I stayed was spotless, as was the rest of the hotel. The en-suite bathroom was very clean and tidy too. The staff were very pleasant and helpful and the very large full english breakfast was very nice. Location is excellent for town centre, the theatre's and shopping. There are some great restaurant's nearby also ample, secure, parking at the hotel, front and rear.

We stayed at this little hotel after reading reviews on Tripadviser and we were not disappointed. The 2 Italian owners, sisters, were very friendly and couldn't do enough for us, including lending us 4 fresh towels for swimming. The rooms were spacious, immaculate and warm. Plenty of tea/coffee and biscuits. The full English breakfast was good too, very generous, and again Carla and Rosy couldn't do enough to make sure our 2 daughters ate what they wanted too. About 5 - 10 minutes stroll to the seafront. A parking space is guaranteed.
