It was a good stay, comfortable, clean and fresh room, good staff, breakfast with a lot of options. You have free parking and hair drier at rooms. The only point is that a little bit far from central area but there is a train station beside the hotel, so you got to the center in 15 minutes.

Welcome Hotel was an amazing experience, and a great deal. Quick train ride to Stockholm Central, and located in a beautiful town near Barkarby, named Jarfalla. I already want to go back! Very nice place to stay while visiting Stockholm. Just 200 yards from the local train stop and takes 20 min to get to the main railway station on downtown Stockholm (although the ticket are quite expensive so dont plan to come back during the day). Rooms are small but have everything we need. Good breakfast, fast wifi.

The hotel staff was not very helpful. We requested an extra towel and never received it, we also called down to the desk to ask questions about Stockholm and no one ever answered and it was 8pm. The hotel was very far out of the way and it tok us almost an hour by cab to get there from the central station.

It turns out that Stockholm can be very expensive so my and my wife decided to save some on hotel yet not sacrifice enough to go to a hostel or lower star-rating hotel. We found the Welcome hotel price reasonable and their ammenities and "feel" very nice. It is a bit far from the city but a very quick ride on the train that is 5 minute walk away drops […] you right in the middle of the city so it wasnt a problem. Breakfast was great and the staff and cleanliness 10 points. Teh sizes of the rooms are incredibly small but we dont mind since we didnt spend much time inside expcet for showers and sleep. Our room far exceeded our expectations! It was very clean, and very large. The hotel staff at the front desk, restaurant and cleaning staff were all very helpful, polite and prompt. The hotel is located very close to the train for our trip into Stockholm and about 20-30 minutes to the Arlanda airport.

The place is spotless, beds very comfortable, and the employees very helpful and extremely friendly (but don't be too excited about there being a pool: it's not like a US hotel pool!!). DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THE AIRPORT EXPRESS TRAIN. I took a bus from the Arland Airport to Balstra train station and then a quick four stops to the hotel at Barkaby. The bus ride was a highlight of the trip to Stockholm as it travelled through absolutely beautiful bucolic countryside! It also goes through a must-see tourist site, beautiful Sigtuna, the country's oldest town. (Of course you should go back to spend time strolling the streets and have lunch!) GET THE SL TRANSPORTATION PASS AT THE AIRPORT! It covers all buses, trains and subways in the whole county of Stockholm, probably the only deal you'll find in Sweden!! The 3-day pass goes for about US$32 while just setting foot on a train or bus sets you back about $8-10!! I probably used it for over $200 worth of rides! Also, don't believe the guidebooks that say they don't take US credit cards because we don't have pin numbers: I used my visa and master card for EVERYTHING with no problems. Read more

I stayed one night with my family the night before a flight out. Service at the hotel was really good and friendly. The shades in the room are no where were they need to be. Sunset at 10:30pm and rises at 2:30am and almost all the sun comes through. The shades aren't big enough or dark enough. So my 2 year woke up at 2:30am and couldn't go back to sleep. […] The continential breakfast is not good at all. Welcome Hotel is within walking distance to the rail station, 15 minutes to city center. Hotel is clean, provided early breakfast for 6.30 AM flight. Personnel helpful to arrange taxi. Free internet use in the lobby. We were given free upgrade of a larger room. Very happy with hotel.

Everything was fine. Hotel is just 5 minutes walk from the train stop which take you to the city center in 20mins. The only thing is that the room is a bit small for 2 and I had to sleep in a rollon bed which was a bit uncomfortable.

The service was fine - they were not terribly knowledgeable about boats to the archipelago but conveniently had free computers (two of them) in the lobby. The breakfast buffet was spot-on, very well stocked and super tasty. Not terribly convenient for seeing the sights in Stockholm, but they have a ton of rooms and were available.

We arrived one day early and asked if they had a room for a family of 4. We were told, "Yes" and given a room for 2 people, into which a sofa bed had been added, leaving no room to walk between the bunk bed and the sofa bed! We were told categorically than this was the biggest room in the hotel and were facing the spectre of staying in the same tiny […] room for all 4 nights. The following day, we were told that they had decided to ‘upgrade’ us to a suite. I HAD BOOKED A SUITE TO BEGIN WITH!!!! My complaint relates to their dishonesty. Had they told us that a suite would not be ready for us until the night we had planned to arrive, we would have understood but to be told that the room we got on our first night was the largest they had was a bold lie.
