"Perfect spot close to nice beach"
Great resort close to one of the nicest spots in Pacific area, Manuel Antonio beach• only 600 mts walking distance to a pristine beach, with clear and warm waters. Jungle and monkeys sorrounding the beach. At the Hotel you will have great service, friendly staff and nice food A must come!!Genuine Expedia guest review
Staff was extremely pleasant and genuine in our interactions. They offered us an upgrade to a better room as we were with kids. Overall a very memorable stay.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great, except for the restaurant"
Great location, views, staff, pools, rooms. BUT the quality of the restaurant is not at all consistent with the rest. Too simple. The taste isn't that bad, you won't starve, BUT if you have the time go out and eat somewhere else. There are a dozen restaurants within walking distance which serve way better food. Don't get me wrong, it is not awful, […] it's simply that the quality of the restaurant is below (way below) the quality of the hotel as a whole. Be confident, stay here, just don't expected to get a memorable meal. Manuel Antonio is a very friendly place with lots of hotels, restaurants and bars. 100% recommended destination. "Beautiful Resort, Great Staff"
Everyone is super helpful and welcoming. Common areas are gorgeous. Food was great. Only reason I didn't give it 5 out of 5 was because the room was slightly less stellar than the rest of the hotel. But the excellent staff more than made up for it. Would stay at the Parador again.Genuine Expedia guest review
"to get a beach you need a shutlle"
hotel need renovation, personal is very helpful, very simple breakfast. Hotel located 2-3 km from everything so the word "close" in hotel description is really over.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
We absolutely enjoyed our stay at this hotel and have nothing, but nice things to say about the staff. Our room was very spacious and clean. We enjoyed the daily breakfast buffet and all the pools on the property. I would definitely return to stay on my next Costa Rica trip!Genuine Expedia guest review
Nice place! Staff are friendly. Rooms very clean. I really recommend this hotel.Genuine Expedia guest review
This is THE place to stay!! The staff is AMAZING and the resort is AMAZING! We will be back with our children next time, and SOON but not soon enough!!!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
If you're planning on driving, you may find the location a bit daunting as you need to drive up a pretty narrow and winding road to get to the cliffs where the hotel resides. Once you're there however, the staff warmly welcomes you and you are present with beautiful views from nearly every location on the property. The rooms were very clean, there was […] free wifi available in the main public areas (and it did reach into the rooms so you didn't have to go sit in the lobby to briefly get online) and there are several lovely pools. On one of the days that it rained we opted to go to the spa for a couples massage (which if you select any of the spa treatments that allows you access to the spa pool and Jacuzzi for the day. The food and drinks are a bit pricey especially compared with the prices of things in Manual Antonio so if possible I'd recommend getting out of the hotel for dinner. A taxi can be taken into town for $10 each way and even with the cost of food will likely be cheaper than staying and eating at the resort restaurant. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Pampered indulgence in the Rain Forest"
Guarded grounds at the end of the road, greeted by a security guard to insure you belong on the property. Hotel staff greeted with fresh lemon towel and refreshing fresh fruit drink. check in went smooth even though we arrived several hours prior to check in. We walked the grounds and explored the two rain forest trails ON the property. The room was […] nice and comfortable the first few nights. The Air Conditioner fan broke and we were moved to another room. The rain forest animals are ALL around.... What a great experience. The restaurant breakfast was a buffet style with local flair, fresh fruit and fresh fruit juices. The lunch and dinner menus at the La Galeria (only one open during the green season, however the other restaurant menus were available) was varied and on the upper end of the scale. The restaurant staff were very attentive (especially Erik, who made the dining time more enjoyable) The views from the outside dining area were spectacular. All the staff are there to make your stay the most memorable as possible. While the hotel is away from the towns, a short taxi ride or hotel shuttle was no problem to get around. This is truly a remarkable property. Keep up the great work, I would recommend to anyone without a hesitation. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Nice, but no beach access!"
We were there in July, Manuel Antonio national park was wonderful, the hotel was very nice, but very pricy, there was a 23%tax on restaurant services, not including the tip!Genuine Expedia guest review
"A slice of heaven"
This place is so beautiful, with a great view, fantastic staff, clean rooms...The only "issue" which is really not even an issue is that it's not right on the beach. The beach is about a 5 minute hike down the hill. But trust me it's worth it, because you get a very nice secluded beach. Amazing Hotel.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The hotel Parador was fantastic. It's a beautiful property, very lush grounds. The service is excellent, the food good. We had a good rate due to traveling in green season so it was a good value. Our daughter loved it.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Not bad but not amazing, here is why"
I stayed in a studio room. The room was great. No bar. The hotel claims to have 3 restaurants. In reality is just one restaurant and 3 settings. The sushi place is literally dead and ain't good sushi. The main restaurant is "ok" but not great food. The inclusive breakfast is very disappointing and cheap for the level of hotel this is. The ingredients […] are cheap, some from cans, and lower than average. The juices where good, and I wish they had a selection of their awesome local coffee, instead they just brew regular American. in general was not at the level. I recommend to go to the Manuel Antonio restaurants near te hotel, you will find better food (and cheaper) Is sad because views at Parador are amazing, service is great, but food is very mediocre and the wine list is really really small and frequently don't have the bottles I asked from the menu. The one big missing item in ambiance. No music. drinks and cocktails where nicely done service is really good as far as how employees treat you. The spa had a beautiful setting but when asked for a massage you need to walk all te way to their presidential suite to get it. Wifi is everywhere, good! At last, the hotel was doing construction work. And didn't publish this. I will try some other resort when I go back. Didn't made the cut to try again, not upset just honest! "Excellent Choice for Every Reason"
We were at the Hotel Parador last week and do no have a single complaint. First of all, the staff was supurb! They warmly welcomed you immediately with smiles and a lovely fruit drink refreshment. They explained every detail about the hotel and then took you and your luggage via golf cart to your building. There were many pools including adult only […] pools and they were all inviting. One had a swim up bar. Did I mention that the first thing you notice is the georgous view which is available at every pool and dlining area. Towels were readily available everywhere. There was an on-site tour coordinator for day trips and the tour guides would pick you up promptly at the front of the hotel. There was a lovely hiking trail at the hotel where we experienced tons of wildlife, including monkeys, all on our own. We had dinner one at the main resturant and both food and service was excellent. Each morning we had an extensive breakfast buffet that was included in our hotel cost, along with excellent service for your coffee and drinks at your table...all with that awesome ocean view! We took advantage of a short hiking trail that lead down to a beach! The hotel had happy hour and multiple bars and eatiing areas. We think couples would enjoy the experience of the hotel the most, but, there were also many famlies having a blast. We researched a ton before making our reservation at the Hotel Parador and we were extremely happy with our choice! Forgot to mention they have spa services too! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Just an OK hotel. Seemed over-rated to us."
Our experience was OK as well. It was just one night, and we spent most of the time out in the town. The room was fine, clearly nothing special and breakfast as well. It is a bummer that the access to the very nice beach is so difficult. I expected more for the price point of this hotel.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Beautiful hotel with beautiful views"
We completely enjoyed our stay at the Parador. The staff went above and beyond at every level. This hotel offers old world charm with tons of character. Ocean views were amazing from our room with a short walk to the beach through the forest. Very glad we stayed here instead of right next to the park.Genuine Expedia guest review
Everything was wonderful except it was not easy to get to the beach.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Was our second stay . Was a little disappoints in the room and its cleanliness this time around. Kinda like a motel 6. Would not pay that amount for a room that was not up to the hotels overall standards. But everything else is amazing:) love this hotel . Just would recommend a suite. Will be a little pricy though. But worth it;)Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Wonderful Hotel, Amazing Service, Unique Setting"
There are so many good things I can say about Hotel Parador!! I will try to break it out into a few categories. Hotel - The hotel is beautiful! Looks like a mix of Costa Rican and European design. You are surrounded by the rainforest - so there is plenty of wildlife to see right there. The first thing we heard at the resort were the Howler Monkeys […] - they were loud, but amazing to hear! And you'll have plenty of encounters with white faced monkeys! The resort overlooks the ocean, and the view from the pool is absolutely stunning. The rooms were clean and very well kept. We had a beautiful rainforest view from the balcony. Take a lot of pictures! Food- The food at the hotel was excellent - but don't be afraid to go visit other restaurants in town! We had amazing food out there! La Cantina and Ronnie's Place were two favorities. Service - Best part of the hotel. Anything you needed they were able to help with. (For example, we had a few hours between check out and our flight, so they provided us with other facilities for showering and cleaning up in between.) The friendly people of the hotel and of Costa Rica in general will be what I remember the most. There's really very little bad I can say about the hotel. The only thing I can think of is that if you are looking for a beach front hotel, this is not the place to go. (But you should know that if you are booking here.) And the hotel is more ideal for couples, or famliies, not party goers. Pura Vida!! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Great couples time, pool was nice, good drinks!"
Hotel and grounds were excellent. The trails were nice and saw monkeys in the morning. The food at the hotel could have been better. Suggest you go into town and eat local.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Wonderful vacation spot."
This hotel was situated with about the best view I saw in the area and was maintained really well. The service was very good except that it took quite some time to get your food order. On the other hand, that was the case everywhere I went so that may just be the local tradition of easy going life not in a rush. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. […] It is near a beach and the Manuel Antonio Park (great beach there too) as well as the Quepos docks for fishing. There was plenty to do if you wanted to keep busy or easy to relax and just take it easy in a luxurious atmosphere. Manuel Antonio and Quepos downtowns are pretty rustic as you would expect in a poorer country but the people could not be nicer. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Very nice hotel / resort in Manuel Antonio"
The hotel staff were excellent and very accommodating. The hotel is just the right size providing enough amenities while not feeling over crowded. The room was well appointed and cleaned well daily. The patio and poor bar wait staff were excellent, attentive but not once intrusive. I would definitely recommend this hotel to friends.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good place if you like to enjoy pool/spa and view"
The hotel has a great view of Pacific. Food (breakfast and dinner) was great. Landscaping was excellent. We liked the short hike in their own trail. Our room had an air conditioner but didn't stay on all the time. I tried everything to make sure it stays on especially during the night time but wasn't successful. When I went to front desk the receptinist […] told me that he will bring this issue to his management. The hotel is two km. away from the other restaurants and three km. or so from the National park so if you like to go out for a dinner and don't have a car you need to take taxi (about $10.00# or hotel shuttle service #free) but the last shuttle that leaves the town is in at about 5:30 PM. "Good choice for Manuel Antonio area"
Overall we had a very good experience with this hotel. The location is good, in the middle of a lot of trees and near the sea. It's too far to walk to town, but that's true with most hotels in the area. I recommend having a car, but alternatively there are taxis and there are tours, which you can organize through the hotel. It's a relatively large hotel […] and some of its amenities end up being unused, such as the mini golf. It has 3 pools (one is adult only), and there is snack/drink service in the pools. The main pool has a bar. The other important attraction is the monkey trail in the back of the hotel. It's a nice trail for a short hike and, if you are lucky you can spot monkeys there. We were not lucky, possibly because these days were hot. There is also a beach about 15 min walk from the hotel (the hotel gives you towels if you want), which is very nice, quieter than the main Manuel Antonio beaches. We had a nice sea view from our room, the room was clean, the service was good, the only problem was that bugs were coming into the room sometimes. The hotel's main restaurant is good, but I believe slightly overpriced. There is free breakfast with a lot of choice, not the best quality but probably you will find some decent options as it's included in the rate. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Good for familes or honeymooners"
We had a great time and really loved our rooms. We had a quite for 3 in the family and a premium room for two both rooms were beautifully decorated with outstanding views and were very good value. They have three pools but unfortunately 2 are for adults only (but we didn't to go Costa Rica to hang out at the pool). We liked the location of the hotel, […] it is somewhat private. Some slight downsides, beach that was in walking distance from the hotel was disgusting and crowded, hotel staff did not know very basic info on surrounding parks (we were told the Manuel Antonio park opened at 7:30 but it was actually 7am which makes a big difference during the high tourist season), we signed up for a bus to the park on the day the park was closed and even though we talked to several staff no one mentioned and while they have a hotel shuttle is it not reliable (as far as timeliness). The food at the hotel was very mediocre and not at all worth the high prices but the good news is a very short distance from the hotel there are some real winners (Falls and Cafe Milagro). I would absolutely stay there again I would just make sure I rented a car and I would not seek advice from the hotel staff. Like I said the rooms were outstanding and a good price, the location was great, there are monkeys all over the place and the staff are very nice even if they are not that knowledgeable. "A piece of paradise"
We really enjoyed our stay. Our room was spotless and very comfortable. The hotel grounds were beautiful and well kept. The restaurants options were varied and the food was delicious. Once you get to the hotel, there is no reason to leave. However, if you do want to leave, have the tour desk book your adventure or use the shuttle bus. Don't miss the […] monkey trail where you can see howler monkeys, and a sparsely populated gorgeous beach within a 10-15 minute walk. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Beautiful grounds and great pool!"
This was a beautiful hotel with great service. They greated us with drinks and wet towels. The grounds were stunning. The monkey walk around the hotel did indeed provide us a view of 7 howlers and a mother sloth with her baby as well as many birds and lots of lizards. It was really nice to have room service. We were really tired after our tours at […] times and it was so nice to be able to eat in the comfort of our room with the AC. The gift shop had cold drinks and candy bars and chips and ice cream bars at a reasonable price. This was really convenient. We were in a tropical room - very conveniently located to the pool and gift shop. The morning buffet was very good. Made to order omeletes, pancakes, waffles, fruit, breads, - pretty much everything you need. The mini golf was pointless - it was concrete - they should rip this out and put in a turtle pond or something. The only slight annoyance in the room was a noisy air conditioner that leaked a bit. "Glad I selected Hotel Parador for our stay!"
We just got back from Costa Rica late last night and loved our trip there! There were five of us in total (2 adults and 3 young children) and everyone thoroughly enjoyed this country. Our oldest child even wants to return some day to be a foreign exchange student, but she's only 9 so she has a long wait. Our stay at Hotel Parador was amazing!!! After […] extensive research of hotels in the Manuel Antonio National Park area, we were very pleased with my selection of this hotel. Very clean and nicely maintained property, very comfortable pillowtop beds, Beach Biesanz was very close by, food was amazing (especially the sushi buffet!), wildlife EVERYWHERE on the property, staff was extremely nice and helpful, and the town of Quepos was only a 10-minute taxi ride away. One night we went into town for dinner at El Avion and our boys (and girl) loved it. The views from that restaurant was wonderful. At the hotel, there was one server who always went above and beyond. We don't remember her name but she had reddish, short hair. Very helpful!!! We want to make sure she receives the credit she deserved. We will return to Parador some day!!! Perhaps when our girl ventures off to become a foreign exchange student in Costa Rica. ;-) Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"What an amazing experience!!!"
This hotel offers pure paradise. The grounds are phenomenal. On the monkey trail right on the hotel property, you will be able to easily find sloths, monkeys, iguanas, and various other interesting, awesome animals. The plants are boundless and beautiful. The views from the rooms are just awesome. The free breakfast is incredible: Gallo Pinto, fresh […] pineapples, bananas, papaya, watermelon, pancakes, muffins, even gluten free options! They really cater to each individual, especially if you eat there for lunch or dinner. I am a vegan, and they did not have many vegan options. The chef came out, offered to prepare something special just for me, and said that the next day, they would surely offer more vegan options. What amazing service!! Every single person I encountered at this hotel was above and beyond wonderful. The front desk, the maid service, the amazing, funny shuttle bus driver... This hotel is not to be missed. They offer free shuttle service to the beaches and to Manuel Antonio Park. I wish I had words to adequately express how much I loved staying at this hotel. The only downside is that wifi is minimal, if at all present, in the actual rooms. However, they do offer a small computer lounge and wifi is available in various other places on the property. The pools are so lovely, and offer amazing views. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
We stayed at the Parador for 2 nights in March 2013. Our first room had substandard air conditioning, however the next night they upgraded us to a room that was excellent all respects. My boyfriend and I stayed here last week... we are 27 and 28 years old and adventerous. We did not need all the amenities this place has to offer but it was really nice to have! The property is amazing... hiking trails.. animals..surprise crabs at night, and that is without even leaving the hotel. The access to your own private beach very close which […] includes a short hike but the staff is willing to help you with everything. They set up taxis, bring you around on golf carts if needed (we didnt but there is a lot of steps and walking so some people do). It is better in person than the pictures but the pictures are not lying. I have nothing but the best to say, not one complaint about this place. I would recomend it to all types of people. It can be peaceful for families or 2.50 drinks at happy hour for a younger crowd! Simply amazing just as the country is. If you are active and want to get an authentic tour through the rainforest sign up for ADR adventure park at their tourist counter. It is worth every penny, just dont be afraid of heights and be fit enough to withstand the hikes and mountains. Enjoy and definitely pick the parador. Trip was to die for. "Great hotel for a family."
The hotel staff was very professional and pleasant. The grounds were fantastic. We were able to talk walking tours on the grounds and see howler, squirrel, white face monkeys, and sloths. You can do this on your own, or with a guided tour with the the wildlife tour guides who work at the hotel. The same guides also do the tours of the Manuel Antonio […] National Park. While sitting at the pool we would see iguanas in the flowers beds. The restaurant was very good. And when we wanted to go out, the recommendations the concierge gave were also very good. The beach is not too far, but you do need to watch your step. We would definitely stay there again and recommend the hotel to people of all ages. The only thing to be aware that there are a lot steps. So for the elderly and young toddlers you want to go slow. This is true for every place in Manuel Antonio because the land is not flat. But this is what makes the area so interesting. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
