Good: Convenient, pleasant staff, plenty of free parking and everything is around you, price. Bad: Bathroom needs repairs and upgrading, parking lot in sub-par shape, no amenities in hotel. Over all, it just needs total renovation. Verdict: No bad if you have a short stay, convenience and price is a plus.

The hotel is well located, but hidden behind the Old Pellican Pub. The sign is easily missed particulatly in heavy traffic or night time. Hotel exterior appearance is not very appealing, but the rooms are fine. I stayed at this hotel on two seperate occasions during my visit to the UK becouse of easy access to the airport and major freeways.

Good price and close to the centre of Manchester and University only a short drive away. The interior is better than the outside would suggest with its 1960 US style layout but staff friendly and efficient and would stay there again.

The hotel was more or less like a secondary school hostel. The bed sheets were only changed once throughout my 5 night stay. Toilets not cleaned, room not cleaned. Wouldn't stay there again. But one good thing, the bed was very comfortable.

Rooms were small and tired - bathroom - no bath, just shower and not particularly clean. Bed was comfortable, tv worked and there was tea and coffee. Food in adjacent pub was ok although very noisy due to football game. Overall it was ok for a one night stop on business, but wouldn't take the family there for a break.

The actual bedroom was lovely, staff were good. Bathroom shower was in need of a bit of attention, food was in the pub over the road, pub wasn't all that, the picture on the website is mis leading.Other than that it's cheap and chearfull.... thanks!

comfortble bed, clean room, good bufet and hot breakfast. Near to metrolink for manchester.Only down is heating comes on at 4.30 am and pipes bang and rattle enough to wake the dead. For over night stop on route excellent or if looking for cheap clean hotel with good link metro from Sale with secure parking to Manchester.

only stayed for a one night stop over, room bit small but clean and comfortable, the only remark i would make is the very loud noise the radiator made when heating was on !!!! Food served in pub very good and reasonably priced. I would stay here again.

Hotel is ideally situated for access to airport, Salford Quays and nearby Cheshire venues. It's basic but all facilities are cleanly presented. It needs an update but it's very adequate. The room has amenities that could be wished for and more than in many national chain venues. The only only gripe - the "non-smoking" room clearly was not in the past. […] The adjacent "flaming grill" provided a basic breakfast in typical fast food manner. 2nd time I stayed in this hotel. It is by no means luxurious accommodation. But clean and cheap rate and of easy access to M60.There is free parking and free wifi too (albeit very slow!) Only thing is staff could be friendlier and try to be more accommodating.
