The staff was friendly, but the hotel is just old and out of date. It's also not so convenient to where we wanted to spend time during the day. It was cheap, so that is not a complaint. It really just needs a total renovation. We were also disappointed that the hot tub was nailed closed and the pool water was icy cold.

Once we arrived to our room the first thing we noticed were the stains all over the carpet to the point where we were afraid to take off our shoes. The room was very old and dingy. I stayed overnight. I was told that there was a pool, jacuzzi, lounge, dinner, deli. To find out that the jacuzzi is no longer there, the pool had a leak, the lounge was not open along with the diner. The loby was the most impressive. Not a very friendly girl at check in explained to us that the three major reasons we picked this hotel were not available. The heater for the pool was broken so the water was too cold to go in. The spa tub was out of order. And finally, the bar/lounge that we planned to watch Sunday football in was closed Sunday because "they didn't have enough guests […] on Sunday". Oh, and when we got to our room I tried to log into the "free WiFi" to do some schoolwork, and couldn't log in. Called the girl at the front desk twice and she said she would have IT re-boot the router. I continued to try for the rest of the time there and never got in. We arrived at 10:30 pm and after breakfast we were gone by 9:00 am the next morning. Restaurant service was excellent and the typical bacon and eggs were very good. Since we booked through Expedia we recieved no Military discount. We drove 4 hours to get there to find out are room wasn't ready until 6:00 pm. The front desk never said sorry for our inconvienence.

Room was large and comfortable. Location was close to Gettysburg National Park and Eisenhower Memorial and about a ten minute drive from downtown Gettysburg and many restaurants and historic sites.

Must have been off-season since there didn't seem to be much activity expecially in the newer building with the hotel reception totally abandoned in that building. The original building smelled but the new building was fine. Tried to look at a room in the original building and was sent three times to look at a room with a key which didn't open the room […] and had to wait to be serviced each time by the lone clerk waiting on a line of three. Only stayed one night here, and it wasn't too bad. The major problem with it was the musty smell as soon as we walked into the hallway to our room, and it continued into our room. I put a air freshner in the vent of the air conditioner and that did help a lot. The plus to the stay was that all the employees were very nice. Though we have stayed in worse, this hotel doesn't have too far down to go. The decor is definitely old as were the sheets which were in need of replacement. What a great value for the price! The hotel is a teeny bit dated but it's not a big problem. The bathroom was completely updated and there is an exterior sink, fridge and microwave area. The hotel was quiet, clean and the staff was friendly.

Had a wonderful time overall. they gave me a room right next to the pool. I enjoyed that very much. It was a wonderful treat. As I dont get to do this sort of thing very often. although the bathroom fixtures need some updating. when you turn on the water, fawcets them selves are very loose, and in need of repair or replacement.

Actually, the price should have been our first clue but we were hoping (against hope) that the hotel was just big and dated, but clean. Wrong! The carpets were filthy!!!!
