Our stay at the Dusit was only for 6 hours before our next flight departed. It was enough time to get a shower and a short nap. We had two seperate maintenance people come to our room within the first 30 mins of being there by request of the front desk. Only two nights spent at Dusit Thani made me realize I had acquired a higher quality than I had planned for. Granted, I was severely disappointed that the business center did not keep realistic hours, not even adhering to the hours posted in the room services directory. We had a very unpleasant experience in the 17th floor. We have my brothers joined us for cocktail. The receptionists did not tell us about guest rates. They just had orange juice & stayed 10 minutes before the closing time at 7:30 pm and we are being charged for $4,000.00. Then we went down in the restaurant on the same night, 5/9th and we want to order […] Ala Carte for my bros. & nieces. We were 6 all together we were told that the light buffet is only $1,200.00/person on the right side so I told my guests not to touch the foods at the left side for we shall be charged $1,600.00 when we received our bill it was $8,000.00. The lady who handed the bill told us that we ordered to grill something. Will you be specific to the customers that if you ask to grill you will be charged the $1,600.00. There's no explanations at all. We were told that they explained to us which is not true even in the 17th floor. It was so disappointing we did not encounter this problem before when we stayed there. Our stay at Dusit Thani was flawless. The hotel itself if absolutely beautiful and the rooms are lovely, spacious and have comfortable beds. A little bit of luxury! The staff are so friendly and helpful and don't hover around always waiting for a tip like everyone else in the Philippines. The buffet breakfast was excellent, lots of variety and the food […] is all fresh. The hotel is around the corner from greenbelt, glorietta, SM and Landmark, walking to the malls feels safe and is very easy. Also very close to the airport- we took both coupon and metered. If you are going from the hotel, make sure they put the meter on as it is less than 200php to get to the airport as opposed to the first day when the driver sold us 300php flat rate (which is only good if you get stuck in heaps of traffic). Definitely stay here, there are some seedy places in Manila, this hotel makes you feel safe and like you are coming home. Read more

Nice hotel, but showing its age. The service was excellent in every respect. The staff were cordial, helpful and friendly at every step. The main entrance faces a parking structure, so it doesn't feel very safe when you first walk out the door. there is a side entrance that faces the side of a large shopping mall, so it's not exactly inviting to go for a walk. If you actually walk another block on the left side of the hotel, you get to a very nice large avenue (Ayala Ave.) with a lot of shopping, restaurants, etc., but you won't see any of that when you arrive at the hotel. The hotel staff follows the Thai traditions, explaining the excellent service, and the decor and atmosphere reflect the Thai ownership of the Dusit brand. Overall, great for a 4 day stay. I've stayed at Dusit Thani Hotel in Manila in July 2012 and came back in January 2013. I will definitely stay here again. It gives the best vallue for money! The entire staff is great. Very courteous and always helpful. Great service!

Only stayed overnight but would love to come back next time. The king size bed was great! Beddings were clean, pillows soft, and the bed was totally relaxing. Would have loved to have slept longer but had to leave early the next day. Hailing a cab was not much of a problem. The staff and guards were bery helpful. Great Pad Thai and Thai Iced Tea […] at Benjarong Royal Thai restaurant. Kudos to the chef and staff as well. They could add some more people in the wait staff to help out Kaye M. as it looked like she was the only one handling orders. The older women were assigned selected tables/rooms I guess for a more personalized service. Business area was very accommodating as I had to use their printer to print my boarding pass. Only thing is I was not told upfront that there was a charge and only found out after overhearing another guest. They were nice enough not to charge me (P15) as I only printed one page. Probably not going to happen next time around. Complementary WIFI in the room was great plus! Proximity to SM Supermarket helps in gettin some local items at a cheaper price. Seems like Dusit Thani Makati has not seen a face lift lately. It might be worthwhile to do so since Ayala Center is completing the upgrade of it's last remaining area (glorietta) to blend with it's new look. This time I arrived at approximately 12:30am and as normal the check-in process went smoothly and I got the king size bed for my six-night stay. The upsell is always part of the check-in procedure, but they back off quickly when you say no. I was in my room within five minutes of my arrival. However, I will say that the room I got this time was worn-out […] as compared to others I have stayed at in the past. In particular the “Comfort Room,” had seen its better days and the general condition of the room was less than I had expected based on my past stays at this hotel. This time my room was next to one of the corner rooms and for the first two nights there was nonstop partying into the early hours of the morning. This could be a benefit for those who have the desire to get the larger corner room and plan to entertain guests knowing in advance that hotel will tolerate their activities. The problem for me is that I could hear their noise in the hallway (as they transited to and from the room) as well as through walls of my room…and on the first night I needed some rest after the long flight (in excess of 48-hours due to flight delays) from the USA. Nevertheless, none of this takes away from the excellent location of this hotel or the friendly staff. The key is to book your room well in advance and you should get a discounted price. If the price is right, I will stay again…if not there are many other options available in Makati. Read more

The lobby area was spectacular! However, I was very disappointed with the room, especially the bathroom. It was outdated, the tub was old and stained. It did not even have a bidet which most places and hotels in the Philippines now have. For the amount of money I paid, I expected more.

Everything about this hotel was excellent except that I had requested a king size bed and I got two "queen" beds which were really two full size beds. I was offered to moved the next day but didn't want to hassle. The hotel is surrounded by lots of shopping centers and lots of restaurants.

I have stayed at this property many times and have always been happy with the service and rooms. I however am a smoker and usually get a King Smoking room and was informed that King Smoking is not an option. I had to make due with 2 full sized beds which were uncomfortable for my sleeping arrangements.
