Econo Lodge Inn & Suites - Innisfail

Our flight had been delayed, so we arrived at the hotel at about 1am. The lady at the front desk was very chipper and welcoming. The staff the next morning was a bit of a problem. Our room phone rang at 8.20am while we were still sleeping (remember, we had only arrived at 1am). When we didn't answer, the housekeeping lady knocked once and just barged […] in. Hello?! Why are you cleaning the rooms so early?! Since we were awake at this point, we took advantage of the free breakfast. Pretty good selection; overall pretty average, but enough to get us going in the morning. We returned to our room to pack up and hit the road, when the phone rang again. At this point, it's about 10am. It's the morning lady at the front desk, asking us if we're checking out. I tell her yes, we're just packing up and about to leave, and isn't check-out time 11? She says "ok, just checking." She was quite a strange lady. Anyway, if you're in the area and just need a place to crash for the night, this place does the trick, assuming that the weird morning staff issues we faced are the exception rather than the norm. I was very pleased with my accommodations for this trip. The location could not have been better. The hotel staff were all very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was just what I needed, and the place was very comfortable. The only thing that I didn't find that might have been more convenient would be a hair dryer.

This is not a fancy hotel with lots of amenities. However, for a room to stay the night it was good. I rated it as a 4 overall because the value was good. It was not fancy but it was clean, the staff was friendly and the price was reasonable.

Very clean hotel and friendly staff. Very comfortable. However, I asked if I could borrow a bottle opener and they said they didn't have any. How could a hotel NOT have a bottle opener? And in the morning after my shower I went to use the blow dryer and there wasn't one! So I had to sit around and wait until my hair was mostly dry before I could curl […] it and be on my way. We were passing through Innisfail and needed an inexpensive room for the evening. Room was clean and comfortable. It came with a bar fridge which was very much appreciated as we were travelling with some perishable items. Was able to park vehicle in front of ground level room which made it easy to bring items into the room. Front counter staff very […] courteous. Continental breakfast was included - toast, bagels, pancakes, cereal and muffins, coffee, tea and milk. Room was very quiet as it is not on the highway. Would stay there again. Read more

The stay was not the best to say the least. The only real good thing I could say was that the beds were comfortable. The room was not overly clean, and it made you wonder things like are the sheets actually fresh. The towels were stained very badly and there was a shortage of them. Outside temperature was -30 C. We were given a room with heat off and window open. Needless to say, very cold. We asked for an extra blanket and were given an old one with significant burn holes. A young hockey team came in for several rooms. They roamed the halls at will making lots of noise to all hours. We complained and the operator said that she […] had got them all in their rooms. Venlige værtsfolk. Ikke så stabil service på værelset, mht. til opfyldning af håndklæder, kaffe, servietter. (VI var der i 5 dage, i forhold til andre steder, hvor vi kun var 1 overnatning, mærkede vi dette mere. Morgenmaden var okay i forhold til mange andre continental breakfasts, kaffen var dog tynd. Fin servise mht. til at kunne tage kaffe. Dejligt, […] det ikke var engangsservice som så ofte ellers. Men desværre var servicet ikke rent, dvs. det var vasket i maskine, men der sad madrester, der ikke var gået af i vask. Lidt dyrt i forhold til disse ting og til beliggenhed udenfor byen.
