"Comfort at a great price"
Comfortable and clean. Walls are a bit thin and they clean up breakfast at least 30 minutes prior to it being over.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Close to ECU"
This hotel served its purpose. It was a place to rest after a long day at ECU. The staff was friendly but the hotel was just ordinary.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Very nice and simple"
This is the perfect place to stay for a night or two when youre out of town. There was a nice little fitness room as well as a decent continental breakfast. Very nice for the price.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Bad attitude of hotel attendant"
I was on an urgent visit to a Hopitalised relative at Vidant Hospital. Few years ago I had a very bad experience with a lower level hotel room during which I was robbed. On my arrival at your hotel, after 4 hrs of driving, your attendant REFUSED to give me an upper level room, stating that there was no vacancy on upper level. I repeatedly asked, but […] he refused. I stayed in my lower level room all night of phobia and sleeplessness. About 2:30am the same night, the night attendant called my room to tell me that "I was not the right person" registered to the room, and I had signed the wrong form. To my surprise, it was true, and I did not know how that happened. I am a Pharmacist who travels always, and have stayed in many hotels but I have never seen anything like this. "Quick overnight visit"
We needed to stay in Greenville for one night to take our son back to college. Carpet in room needed a good cleaning. Everything else in room was fine.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Small rooms, no extras"
Requested a room with one queen bed and there was not much room for anything else. The bed was a little uncomfortable. Worst part was the towels were not clean. Cheap price thoughGenuine Expedia guest review
We stayed here overnight when we moved our son to college. The only complaint is about the air conditioning. When we turned it up to 73 degrees, it blew out warm air and smelled like something was burning/melting.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Very nice stay"
We always stay at microtel when we visit Greenville. Our daughter attends ecu and we bring her down and come get her. Microtel is convenient, priced well, and has a decent complementary breakfast. There are many hotels in the area but we always stay at microtel.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Not my first time at this microtel as my son is a Junior at ECU. Our first stay 3 years ago was exactly what we expected in a low priced hotel; clean room, decent bed, clean bath and decent coffee all of which were absent during this stay. I will start with the room, it was LOUD the air conditioner was 2 feet from the bed, the walls are extra thin had […] to listen to some guy talk in his room about his bar bill, poor water pressure in the shower barely dribbled out, I was on the 2nd floor in a 3 floor building; the bed was less than average in comfort. Since I hadn't really slept I was in need of COFFEE which brings me to the breakfast area. The coffee was luke warm in the urns and was ultra weak... it was awful coffee! I know that the place was inexpensive but for the price you should get more. I will stay elsewhere in G'Ville on my next visit. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Nice hotel but staff has much to be desired"
I booked a hotel about 3 weeks prior to our arrival. I specifically reserved a room with 2 queen beds. I took my son to his college orientation and I found out that we would not be checking into the hotel until around 10:30pm that night. I called the hotel around 3 pm to explain that I would be having a late check in and she was somewhat rude and eventually […] said that she would have the room and that she would be there until 11pm. I specifically asked if I would have the room I reserved (a room with 2 queen beds) and she mumbled and said yes. Well, when my son and I arrived she did not have the room that I specifically reserved. She tried to put us in a room with one queen bed. I told her that would not work and she said that was all that she had. I then asked why did I reserve a room 3 weeks early and also explained that I called earlier that day and told her that we were going to be checking in around 10:30pm and she verified that she would hold the room. Well, she asked if I wanted the room with a queen and a couch that folded out to a bed? I said basically I paid for a room with one queen bed and fold out couch? I took the room reluctantly because it was so late and we had a long early day the next day. I then asked did the fold out bed have any linens and she told me "no" then she asked if I needed any? I was pretty upset at this time and said that we will need linens. She then goes back to a closet and hands me a stack of linens? Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Nice hotel close to college and downtown"
Hotel staff was nice and helpful. Though when I made my reservation it stated check-in was after 3:00 I called to see if I could check earlier and they gladly accomodated my request. The room was comforting with free wifi. The bed was probably the best sleeping bed I've stayed in and I have stated in many hotels here in the states and also all over […] Europe and Asia. "fun and relaxed trip"
It was a nice trip. The hotel was great... I enjoyed myself...Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Just OK. Room comfortable. Initially gave me a room right across from ice machine, laundry room, very noisy. Had to upgrade to get better room. Keys to room would not work on 2 different occasions. Coffee not good, artificial creamer. Would not stay again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Conveniently located to ECU"
Our room was a nice size, but our sheets were dirty. The front desk offered to move us to another room, but as I was waiting she answered the phone to at least 3 callers that needed to be moved to other rooms as well. We opted to just change the sheets. She was the only one working so we ended up changing the sheets ourselves.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The hotel is very clean. The staff is very friendly and try to make the stay as smooth and relaxing as possible. I would definitely stay again there and recommend staying there.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Memorial Day Weekend 2013"
My family has stayed in this hotel 3 times in the last 5 years and have been pleased with each stay. This time, there was a mix up regarding our room configuration. My uncle booked a double queen room as did I. However, when I checked in prior to my uncle, I was informed there was only one double queen room available. We had both been promised the same […] room. The staff, however, quickly upgraded my family to the suite, which turned out to work better for us. The continental breakfast was good. The room was very clean. The foldout couch and the queen bed were a bit lumpy. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Pretty good, especially for the price."
Clean and mostly comfortable. The rooms are small, and the breakfast typically so-so, but the main thing is that the walls are thin. Fortunately, I asked for a "quiet part of the hotel" and was put in an end unit, and there wasn't anyone noisy next to me. But, I could hear the TV from next door. Again, fortunately, that guest didn't play it too loud, […] so I was o.k. Too bad the hotel didn't just spend a little more in construction to put insulation in the walls between rooms - if so it would be a great deal for one-two guests that are looking for an economy stay in a clean room. "They need to do maintenance and retrain some staff"
Not very happy with this hotel. I didn't hold high standards because it is a 2 star hotel but some things should not be an issue. Our room was clean. A little small but suitable, we only needed a clean place to stay. Our friend's room on the other hand made me rethink ever coming back again. They had a major leak in their room's ceiling and you could […] see where it had been previously patched. Looks like the AC in the room above has a leak and they are not fixing it. She tried to call downstairs and the room's phone didn't work. Breakfast consisted of all breads - waffles, cereal, muffins, and bagels. Some fruit, yogurt, and parfaits. Bagels were stale. My biggest complaint though after the room was the staff behind the desk. The weekend we stayed there was a college sports team there and they were out of control. I understand you cannot control or pick your guests but you do need to control the situation. These boys were out in the parking lot in the middle of the night shooting off fireworks. They were even aiming roman candles at each other. This is illegal in NC and should have been stopped. Especially when they are doing it in the parking lot surrounded by guests vehicles and close to the hotel itself. This was going on at 11PM and then again at 3:15AM. The next morning the girl behind the counter was saying how "she didn't hear a thing". How could you not hear firecrackers? The building is not that big. Will never stay here again. "Got the Job done"
The staff was very nice and helpful. The hallways had a "stale" odor to them. The walls and door were too thin. I could hear every door that closed on our floor.Genuine Expedia guest review
The rooms are very small, the shower didnt work (maintenance did fix it) and there were very loud contractors partying in the parking lot at nightGenuine Hotels.com guest review
The lady at the front desk when we checked in was awesome. But had to call down at 3:30 a.m. because of the noise that was going on down the hall. Full blown party from 11 until 4 in the morning. And no one handled it. I was really upset. No sleep at all. When I checked out and told the guy at the desk about it I was pretty much treated like I was crazy. […] When I ask for a manager there was none there. No offer to make it right. They could have at least offered another stay or to make it right. So I am really disappointed the way this was handled! "clean and inexpensive"
This hotel is very convenient to the ECU Medical School. There is practically no separation between the sleeping and sitting areas. It was quite clean and new, but very basic accommodation.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Clean but noisy"
It looks like this hotel was recently renovated, so everything was nice and clean. My problem with the room was that the walls were paper thin; I could hear the man next door snoring the entire night. Before he went to bed, he had an hour long conversation with his children--I heard the whole thing. There was also a group of children outside in the […] parking lot playing until almost midnight and, again, I could easily hear them until they stopped. I had to be up at 5 AM, so this was a bit of a problem for me. I seriously considered going to the Marriott Courtyard around 11 PM to get some sleep. Maybe request a room away from other guests. "A great value"
I used this hotel for an overnight trip for an ECU event. The hotel is very convenient to the nursing facility for ECU and there is a Jimmy John's in the same parking lot. I found the room and price very comfortable. The only downside was the small size of the room and very thin walls, you can hear everything in the surrounding room s.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Great, inexpensive, new"
This is a great hotel. It is new and seems to be well taken care of. The wifi is not secured or very speedy but everything else was great. It is centrally located and generally a great place to stay.Genuine Expedia guest review
The hotel itself was good. The service we received was terrible. The desk attendant was on the phone and we had a issue with our room , she wasn't able to help us until we called the supervisor.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
I picked this hotel because of the queen size beds in the room which were excellent! Amentity package and breakfast typical for this style of hotel. Very pleased and would stay here again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good Stay - Friendly and Accommodating"
My stay at Microtel was comfortable and an overall good experience! My room was clean, my queen size bed and pillows were super comfy and the flat screen TV was a nice addition. The continental breakfast wasn't bad either! For the most part the staff was really nice and friendly, but there were some hiccups in their personnel. The receptionist that […] checked me in wasn't the friendliest but all of the other receptionists I met were very nice and accommodating! And on my last day, I had my "do not disturb" sign up and the cleaning lady still knocked on my door and tried to enter my room - I guess she REALLY wanted to clean my room! Overall - I enjoyed my stay and most of the staff were very friendly and accommodating :-) Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
