"Times Square Nugget"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 6, 2012
We really enjoyed our stay. We stayed for a week and were glad to find a hotel right in the heart of Times Square. The service was definitely top notch! The front desk was courteous and the concierge was very helpful, recommending great shows and restaurants. Our room was nice. It could've been a little larger. But the bathroom was a good size and the size of the TV's and the fact that they played HD was a bonus. Also, the bed was quite comfortable. The cleaning staff did a fine job of keeping up the room. I'll definitely recommend this hotel to others.
"Consistency. You can depend on it."Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 6, 2012
Finding a "GOOD THING" these days can get harder and harder. For this reason when you come across a 'good thing" it is priceless. One of the most recent "good things " that I have come across is the PARAMOUNT hotel in Times Square. The first thing that I leave the hotel impressed by is the professionalism and commitment that is demonstrated by the staff. Starting with the front desk where I was checked in by Catherine and continuing until the driver which I received at the hotel hands me my luggage at the airport. Catherine followed the details of my visit until the moment I checked out. The only dislike that I had which eventually i got over was the view of the alley where the boiler or some loud machine was placed. I know that from now on I will request a room that faces anywhere but there. If you are going to New York and plan on taking in Broadway there could not be a more perfect location. I love this hotel so much I find myself wanting to travel to NYC more. I cannot wait until my next visit to the PARAMOUNT which I hope will be in the next few weeks.
"Affordable Quickie in NY"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 5, 2012
We had a very good time and the hotel was close to work.
""Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 5, 2012
Very nice hotel, within walking distance to subway for access to Manhattan (take the 7 or E and you can get to grand central, times square, penn station). Just a few blocks to local restaraunts. The room was very clean, excellent staff, free shuttle to subway. Overall an excellent place to stay if your touring new york city. One note, if you are considering a "view room" save your money, the view is obstructed by a number of taller buildings (the hotel is only 7 floors). Overall an excellent experience and I would definitely stay again, especially at the rate because of the new hotel discount. If you plan to take a cab from the hotel call one yourself because the service the hotel uses charges a flat rate to specific areas and you can get a cab on your own for cheaper generally.
"Nice hotel in the theatre district"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 5, 2012

"European-Like small Hotel"
comfy bed, nice bathroom, great staff at front desk, wireless access easy, computer in Lobby new and rapid. Parking garage reasonable rate. Great spot nearby:EatIly--check it out for restaurants and goodies to bring home. Only improvement that could be made is quality of towels.
"Terrible"
thermostat was broken. i had to turn up the heat, which went to 85 at night. had to wake up at 3am to turn it off. and then in the morning it got down to the 60's. the entire hotel is staffed by one person at night, so i couldn't even get a towel. the shower system is stupid- your entire bathroom gets flooded. the room was super germy and dusty. terrible […] stay over all. "Exactly as described"
This was a comfortable hotel, with larger-than-average room for the price in NYC. The staff were helpful and courteous, and the location is very convenient (and also very near a subway station).
"perfect for my requirements"

"Nice hotel, friendly staff"
The hotel is well maintained and the staff friendly and helpful, I needed help because the WIFI was difficult to set up and use. The front desk spent about 1/2 hr getting my laptop to work with the WIFI and they succeeded! Could not get ATT phone service in my room, had to use my cell phone outside. Restaurant next to hotel (San Rocco) was excellent! […] Will stay again. Read more
"meh"
the heating did not work ... my room was ice cold in the morning!
"Great location"
Enjoyed the Chelsea/Union Square neighborhood. Fun restaurants and shopping. A bit of a hike to the subway, but cabs readily available. Typically small NYC rooms.
"Wyndham came up short"
Television and internet didn't work but otherwise it was ok.

"Boutique without the big price...."
Good value for the dollar. Excellent, friendly staff and service...just ask and its taken care of. Great restaurant, independent but attached. Location not jammed with people but a few hundred feet from the intersection of 5th and broadwa - Flatiron Bldg. Rooms small, but absolutely ok unles you are spending hours in there. Only suggestion....faster […] elevators (but only 17 floors) and the bed pillows are foam....not good for me personally. If your looking for a fancy upscale facility, this is not it. If small, personal, no airs, but solid, clean and convenient is your choice...do it. Bob Read more

"A little gem"
this is a wonderful hotel in a great location. It is becoming my go-to hotel when needing a place in NYC. Can always count on a great staff and a clean room.
"Nice but a very tight room..."
room was clean, front desk was pleasent, the room barely fit the two double beds. Would go back if we only needed one king.
"Great stay at the Wyndham Chelsea!"
Very friendly front desk staff. Room and bathroom were a decent size. Beds were comfortable and lots of pillows. Not "new and perfect", but clean. A/C cranked out the air very well. The hotel itself is very centrally located to just about everywhere. We walked from Greenwich Village to Central Park quite easily. Subway is close though if you do not […] want to hoof it so much. Would stay here again and recommend to my family and friends. Read more
Great for access to Chelsea and mid-town. One-half block walk to the east for Eataly, an excellent trattoria, but pricey. Great cappuccino, though, at a great price. One-half block to the west for Starbucks. Granduca di Sicilia, an excellent Sicilan restaurant, directly across the street. Great hotel staff too. It opened 4 days before we ate there, […] so service was a little tentative. Probably worked out all the kinks by now. Great, great food. And that's from a Sicilian! Read more

"Small and limited service but a good location"
As noted above the hotel is small our room barely fit the two double beds and bathroom was very small; but all very clean. Good news is that the restaurant attached has a great bar and across the street a great restaurant just opened.

"Disappointing"
The upside - The staff was pretty nice and the wi-fi was included. The hotel needs some upgrading to be at a reasonable competition with other NYC options at the same star ratings. The typical motel style business travel room was pretty sparse of any amenities. The towels were thin and cheap. The soap/shampoo was also motel grade. A tipsy wardrobe was […] too small to fit a regular coat hanger. The hall ways were dingy, worn and there was not much of a lobby at all - and the lighting of the lobby screamed of a Motel. Lot of construction at the front with the next door restaurant. Front of the building was dusty and conjested. Just minor adjustment of even using the corerct light bulbs in the lobby would improve the character of the place. A little paint on the wall would do wonders. No TV channel guide. No menues. Luckily, we were not there to spend a "honeymoon" but for a weekend event in the city so we just slept there. That's about all you can do at this (m)otel. Read more

"A value for the location"
Yes the size was small, but the bed quite comfortable. Bathroom was left wanting the most, poor shower design. But, overall, a real value for the location.
"Wyndam Garden in New York-a fine place to stay"
We spent 5 nights at the hotel. Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was clean and comfortable. Size was small as most NY hotel rooms are but it was adequate for 2 people. Maintenance staff was responsive and fixed a loose make-up mirror the same day I reported it. The location of the hotel (24th street between 6th Ave and Broadway) was great with […] easy access to two subway lines that we took to go uptown to museums and central park, downtown to the Village and Soho, and to Brooklyn where we have relatives. It is also walking distance to the Highline park on the west side and very close to Madison Square park and the Garden on the east. Overall we were very pleased with the hotel and consider it a good value. We are likely to stay there again next time we are in NYC. Read more
"Wyndham Garden - Manhattan"
I must first say I really enjoyed my visit to NYC. This hotel provided excellent customer service even allowing me to do an earlier check in. They were very accommodating and friendly. The room was a little small but overall it was clean. I definitely recommend this hotel.

"Nice and quiet, friendly staff, great location!"
I will definitely stay here again. The room was nice and quiet, and had a large bathroom. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful.
"Wyndham Gardens"
Nice clean hotel with very friendly staff. I do a ton of traveling and staff and cleanliness make the hotel for me - and this was great.

"Wyndham Garden NYC in Chelsea"
As nearly everyone notes, small rooms are to be expected in NYC and that is really the only drawback to this hotel. The front desk staff is excellent, with the possible exception of the concierge (which is fine, but not excellent) and which I am not entirely sure isn't some independent operation.

"Quiet and clean"
This hotel is located mid-block on W. 23rd, so there was no traffic noise. The people were courteous and helpful. The room was spacious by New York City standards. The adjacent restaurant was pricey but food was excellent. And the price was mitigated by discounts if you were staying in the hotel.
"Thin walls!"
The hotel in itself was great; nicely finished rooms, large bed, nice updated bathroom. The only issue was the sound from our neighbors at 3 in the morning. Turns out that we had three very loud, obnoxious neighbors in the room next door. Came in screaming, singing and banging on not sure what for about an hour. We called the lobby and they did tell […] us that they would call them to have them be quieter, but didn't really work. Needless to say, didn't get the best nights sleep. I think part of the problem is that the hotel is so tiny inside the walls are relatively thin and the sound just really carried. Again, this isn't something the hotel personnel can control and in general, it's a nice hotel with pleasant staff. Read more
"Convenient and clean"
We had a trip planned to do all the sights in NYC. This hotel was small, but perfect for a place to keep your bags, clean up and rest your head. If you plan on being out and about most of the time, the price is right and it is a cozy, clean hotel to return to after a long day of sightseeing. The staff was very nice and helpful. The hotel is also a convenient […] location for the subway. Read more

"Great Stay!!!"
Hotel staff was VERY nice and helpful. We asked them for directions to a few places and they got a map to map it out and show us. Even followed up with us that night when we returned to see if we found everything and how we enjoyed ourselves. Room was very nice and clean...small but that's NY. I will definitely be back and have also referred a friend […] who is going next week to NY to stay there. Read more

"Basic accomodations"
Stayed 2 nights at fthe Wyndham for business travel. Very basic accomodations, but clean and comfortable. Didn't spend much time in the hotel except to sleep. Staff very friendly. Parking in a lot next door at a special rate.
"well worth it"
Great location, great hotel, for a reasonable price. Rooms were a good size for Manhattan, staff was alway present and friendly. Just a solid NYC hotel that I would be happy to stay at again.
"Awesome for Business Stays and More"
Clean, VERY comfy bed, and kind of stylish. Staff was so friendly. Nice restaurants around there and generally a nice area. Definitely will be staying here again. I stayed for business, but saw others there probably on vacation. Rooms are perfect for 1-2 people, but they are a little small (only negative). Understandable for NY and for the price.
"great location"
This hotel has a wonderful location. You are steps away from the amazing Eataly along with many other great restaurants and stores. Rooms were clean and comfortable..although small...but that is NYC for you. Staff is friendly and attentive without being intrusive. Internet is complementary..which is great..but can be a little slow at certain times of […] day. All in all a great experience..will be returning. Read more
"Nice hotel. No frills, no issues"
Exactly what I had hoped for. Very convenient location to what I wanted. Friendly staff. Slow elevators and tight hallways, but the room was certainly more than satisfactory. Would definitely stay there again.

"Great location, friendly staff"
I got a fantastic rate for my stay, so the only negatives I could see---the double room I stayed in was pretty tight, the gym is in an airless windowless basement room that is very small, the hotel generally seems a touch old--really didn't matter. Staff was really, really nice, which is a huge plus. Very clean, and an amazing location. If I had to […] pay full rate I'd be shopping around just to see if I could find something a little more swank, but for the rate I got it was great. I would stay there again for sure. Read more
"Great Hotel - Perfect Location!"
I was in town on Business. This location (between 5th and 6th)was perfect as my office in NY is on W. 17th Street -- just a few blocks away. The hotel right across the street from a great restaurant complex, ETALY - which I highly recommend! Co-joined is a quaint restaurant/bar which is so very convenient for a quick breakfast, lunch, dinner, or late […] night drink. The Flatrion Building is literally right around the corner and a subway stop is 1/2 block away on 5th. And Tons of Shopping on 6th. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone. The rooms were a little small - but you're in NYC! The bed was comfortable, and you had everything you needed! Read more
