Hotel Villaggio Stromboli - Ricadi

When we arrived at the hotel, we realised it was more of a family holiday complex rather than a hotel.Walking up to room which seemed more like a chalet, we noticed a condom wrapped around a statue outside our room!The room we had been given was tiny, and in my opinion more of a hostel standard,and the bathroom was very very basic.There was no air con […] as the 'Standard Roms' don't have air con. It was mid August and boiling hot! We asked if there were any other rooms and was told the hotel was fully booked. We went to the private beach which is a 5min walk down the hill and was actually very nice. When we went back to our room to shower, we discovered the shower head was so old that the water literally dribbled out. Also, the drain was blocked so we ended showering in a pool of water. This time we spoke to the manager to complain, and he said there was one other room available. Again it was a standard room, and MUCH better! It was bigger, cleaner, and proper functioning bathroom! The next problem occured that night when we discovered by the pool area they have their evening entertainment until midnight every night. So no chance of sleep until after then. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to another couple as it was more of a family holiday destination, better suited for young children. The nearest town was Tropea whihc was a 10min drive away. The area itself is very Italian which was nice, although we struggled with communication at times, feeling like the only Brits in town. Read more

Well where do i start! when we booked this "hotel" we were under the impression it was just that, upon check in we were escorted to a decrepit cabin instead! there was no a/c no t.v and we found a lizard in our room! when we complained to the front desk staff she explained that finding lizards in your room is quite normal and we booked a standard room […] therefore a/c wasn't included. when i told her it wasn't specified anywhere about not having a/c she replied it wasn't specified anywhere that their was.The cabin looked like it was about 30 years old, it was dirty, we found swatted flies on the wall, it looked like ants or termites were trying to dig their way through the framing and along the baseboards and the closest town is about 10min away by car and tropea is about 15min away by car. the "hotel" description and photos are extremely miss leading! if you must book this place get a comfort room we were upgraded a few days after complaining and it was like night and day! the room was beautiful it was like staying at a different resort. i am fully aware you get what you pay for, and this place wasn't cheap to stay at in august, we were very disappointed! The hotel is fine, we didn't have the newly renovated rooms. The older rooms also don't have air conditioning. We liked the tables to sit at outside the rooms. The pool was nice as is the beach. It is quite a walk to the beach mainly downhill, but once you get there the water is amazing and the beach is really nice.

Great hotel, excellent location just above the sea, very helpful staff, forthcoming and listening. We stayed there last year, were really satisfied so we came back this year (hopefully next year again). Thank you for everything!

La ristorazione è buona in generale, cucina varia e buona, ma la colazione è molto scarsa, direi che io abbia mai visto una colazione così scarsa, neanche lo yogurt...?!? Questo villaggio è sicuramente perfetto per chi ricerca tranquillità e relax. Immerso in un oasi naturale di grande bellezza è l'ideale per trovare pace e serenità . Le camere sono pulite e ben tenute e la terraza esterna è molto comoda ( c'e' perfino lo stendibiancheria per il bucato quotidiano ), anche se le rondini nidificano proprio sugli angoli […] del terrazzo soprastante creando escrementi non piacevoli da vedere. La spiaggia non è assolutamente comoda da raggiungere....bisogna percorrere una strada ripidissima, ma il vantaggio è che si gode di una vista spettacolare e poi....si smaltisce un pò di "ciccia", dunque può andare. La sera si può raggiungere Tropea, altra bellissima località assolutamente da visitare, ma se si è sprovvisti di mezzo allora rimanete dove siete. Evitare i taxy. L'animazione è molto carina....ho assistito ad uno spettacolo di cabaret simpatico e divertente. Bravi.Tornerò sicuramente.....ne è valsa la pena. Anche solo per pochi giorni. Read more

We spent three nights in this hotel/holiday village. It's the kind of place you'd expect if you booked a charter week, but this time we came by car. The hotel is about five minutes from a nice beach (and the hotel has a private part of the beach). Free internet, free parking, good breakfast (except the coffee). At checkout we had an argument over the so called "club fee" which they didn't inform us about when checking in. It's like a couple of bucks per person and day, but still, they should've informed us when checking in. I hate these "extra costs" I didn't know about in advance. But over all, a great place, close to the beach, Tropea and other sights. Read more

Mycket gammalt hotell med vissa områden som renoverats. Bilden på hotellet vilseledande. Fick ett litet bungalowtyp rum utan ac och 35 grader varmt. Bytte rum till ett med ac (och 1 600 kr mer för en vecka)men intill poolen där det var dålig italiensk underhållning varje kväll till 24.00! och extremt högt. Gick inte att prata på altanen då! Enformig […] mat i restaurangen, särskilt frukosten och dyrt i strandbaren. Dålig kvalitet på solsängar- inga dynor och de flesta trasiga. Snuskiga toaletter på stranden, Fick betala 4 euro per dag för pool-och strandservice per person, trots att man inte utnyttjade den. Trevlig personal som slet och gjorde sit bästa. Read more

Ein rundum gefreutes Ferienressort. Allerdings ist das Frühstück eine Katastrophe, weil ständig entweder Teller, Gläser, Besteck, Esswaren oder Getränke ausgehen und während längerer Zeit nicht ersetzt werden.

Consiglio di non scegliere l'opzione bilocale/appartamentino perchè sono strutture risalenti agli anni 90. Sono invece confortevoli le camere tipo albergo. Ottima la piscina e il ristorante, accesso al mare diretto. Buon rapporto qualità prezzo.
