The only issue I had with this hotel is we had a free breakfast every morning and they forgot to tell us until the last day. We stayed in ocean view room with balcony and loved it.

This hotel is ideally located between the False Bay Harbor and on the main street of the small town of Simon's Town. The drive from the airport is over one hour and there is no complimentary pick up service. However, the hotel arranged transport which included a running tour guide, which was nice. The minibar prices were very reasonable, enabling us […] to enjoy the refreshments in our room. Front desk staff varied from helpful to exceptional. The breakfast which is included is a full buffet. We even had a special item ordered due to food allergy. The problem we encountered was that the 5 night discount was applied but check out was communicated to us after only 4 nights. When we tried to correct this error, we were moved to a new room, and charged the discounted rate only if we eliminated breakfast (which turned out to cost more than the higher room price). We would have liked the bookkeeper to acknowledge the obvious error and honor the discounted rate. The desk manager could see that it could not have been a change on our part but was not authorized to make the decision. Read more

The hotel was in a lovely location on the water and the rooms were nice (and clean). There are many stairs so I would not recommend this hotel to anyone with mobility issues. Also, contrary to what they claim, there is no hotel airport shuttle, (which was my main reason for selecting to stay here) but they are happy to call a taxi. Friendly and helpful staff, lovely location right on the harbour and our room was great, breakfasts were a bit hit and miss with the receptionist doubling up as head waitress. It was a shame that the hotel didn't have a bar or restaurant or outside seating that would have been lovely but it was excellent value for money. Had a great stay...Parking is a concern as the hotel does not have enough parking...and then guests must pay R7/hour in the parking accross the hotel. Free parking is available at the back of the hotel..but did not feel comfortable to leave the rental car out of sight.Hotel was clean and room comfortable

This hotel is advertised as being right on the waterfront but our room was not part of the main hotel and looked directly over the main street. Having only single-glazed windows, it was very noisy once the traffic started in the morning. Also a little cold early in September. I accidentally left my driver's license at the front desk. I made arrangements […] by telephone for it to be couriered to my next destination, but this did not occur and we were forced to drive back to pick it up. Note that there are not many places to eat nearby on a Sunday evening in September! Despite those drawbacks, Simon's Town is a good centre from which to explore the Cape Town peninsula, and Quayside Hotel is not a bad place to stay. Read more

The rooms were comfortable and very clean. The bathroom had a shower and bath in it. The hotel is situated in the middle of town at the harbor and walking distance from most of the restaurants. The hotel has great rooms with a wonderful view. The staff are friendly and helpful and the position of the hotel is the best in Simons Town. The hotel does not have any facilities other than rooms: No public lounge, bars, restaurants, gym etc. It should be looked at as a room only provider. But there are good facilities very close at hand.

원전을 방문하는 출장이었는데 현 호텔은 원전에서 많이 떨어진곳이다.다음날 택시예약을 하는제 터무니없는 가격을 제시한다. 갈때 10만원 올때 10만원. 우리의 약점을 이용한 호텔관리자의 아주 안좋은 상술이다. 결국 그 바가지를 쓰고 택시를 이용했다. 올때 택시기사가 관광서비스를 해서 약간의 보상이 된 느깸이다. 그런데 check out할때 또한번 그 호텔메니져(여자였음)가 사기를 친다. 분명 1인당 900란드에 택시계약을 했음에도 1000란드를 내란다. 이유를 물으니 은행 Deposit인가 뭔가를 위해 100란드가 추가되었단다. 택시를 너무 비싸게 이용해서 약간 찜찜하던 차에 이런 터무니없는 얘기 들으니 짜증난다. 단호하게 […] 그렇게 계약하지 않았다고 단호히 말하고 계약금액은 900란드라 말하니까 알아보겠다고 나갔다가 들어오더니 알았다고 한다. 손님에게 최적의 서비스를 해주려는 노력보다 왠지 바가지를 씌우려고 한다는 느낌을 받았다. 택시를 소개하면 소개금액의 일정부분을 챙기는 뭔가가 있는가 보다. 어째든 매니져가 상당히 기분나쁘다. 주변환경은 정말 아름답고 깨끗하고 좋다. Et nydelig lite hotell som er innredet som om du er på et skip. Flott rom og bra service. Anbefaler virkelig å ta et av de få rommene som har balkong ut mot sjøen. Skal du på hvalsafari, fisketur, haisvømming eller hva så ligger dette hotellet rett ved piren som ting starter ut fra.

L' hotel si trova in una posizione ottima per visitare i dintorni di Città del Capo. Il personale dell'hotel è sempre molto disponibile anche per informazioni e prenotazioni per visite guidate. Das Hotel war in sauberen und guten Zustand. Badezimmer mit Badewanne und seperater Dusche. Balkon mit zwei Stühlen , aber keinem Tisch. Minibar vorhanden. Wasserkocher und dazu Kaffee und Tee , sowie. Gläser in ausreichender Anzahl. Das Frühstück war in Ordnung. es gab Toast , Eier in jeder gewünschten Art durch das Personal zubereitet. Kaffee und […] Tee wurden serviert, Säfte in begrenzter Zahl , Wurst, Käse und warme Sachen (Speck/Würstchen) wurden angeboten , Es gab Früchte/Obst und verschiedene Cerrialien . Wir haben uns Wohl gefühlt. Das Zimmer hatte zwei Einzelbetten, eine Anrichte und einen Schrank in dem ein Safe vorhanden war. Das einzige Manko war, das das Hotel etwas hellhörig war. Aussicht vom Balkon auf die Bucht und den Hafen. Dieser war geteilt in einen privaten und militärischen Teil. Das Personal war freundlich und bemüht und hat den Urlaub im positiven abgerundet. Séjour de 2 nuits dans cet hôtel 4 étoiles locales (méritées). Rapport qualité/prix excellent. Pas de restaurant mais profusion de restos sympas tout autour de l'hôtel. Pas de service de petit déjeuner mais copieux petit dej. (inclus dans le prix de la chambre) au Central hôtel juste en face. Dit hotel ligt centraal in Simonstown en als je een kamer boekt met haven/zeezicht, zul je nog lang nagenieten van het heerlijke uitzicht. De kamers zijn ronduit perfect. En vanuit Simonstown kun je het schiereiland Capetown perfect verkennen. Wij hadden ook een auto gehuurd via Expedia en ook die was zeker perfect. Het was even wennen dat links rijden, […] maar het is beslist goed te doen. De wegen zijn zeer goed onderhouden en het verkeer is niet drukker dan in en gemiddelde Nederlandse stad. Met de auto zijn we o.a. naar de plaats Stellenbosch geweest. Stellenbosch is zeker een aanrader. Uiteraard zijn wij ook naar het centrum van Kaapstad geweest zowel met de auto als met de rechtstreekse treinverbinding vanuit Simonstown. Het hotel lijkt niet ingesteld te zijn op Europese gasten die even hun boarding kaarten willen afdrukken. Koste me anderhalfuur om dat geregeld te krijgen via de receptie. Wel beschikt het hotel over draadloos internet. Als je meerdere dagen verblijft, kun je het beste een abonnement voor meerdere dagen (31) van bijvoorbeeld 1Gb nemen. Kost ongeveer 17,50 € en werkt ook nog als je aankomt op de luchthaven. Al met al een zeer fijne locatie om alle bezienswaardigheden in en rond Kaapstad te verkennen. Read more
