ResortQuest Rentals - The Market Common - Myrtle Beach 33.67151, -78.94022

My Husband and I first visited ResortQuest in September 2009 for an anniversary get-a-way. We loved our stay so much we stayed again during the last week of November 2009, this time we brought our children along. They also enjoyed their stay, the Market Common stores, Grand 14 cinemas, even playing outdoor chess to only name a few things they enjoyed doing. The Hotel is clean, maintained and very well kept. We plan to stay again, in the very near future.

Check in was difficult. Location was great. Furniture not comfortable and not situated properly. Room above was very loud.

We needed a hotel close to my Mom's for our annual family reunion. Had never stayed at the hotel before, but will go again in a heartbeat. We could not get over how wonderful the room was and we told everyone about it. We will gladly go back again and again.

If you're going to Myrtle Beach this might be the best place to stay for the money. It's only about two minutes to the beach and the area surrounding the hotel has plenty to do. I don't think we'll ever stay anywhere else in Myrtle.

I have stayed there several times on business and will continue to stay there. It is a very good value in a year-old retail/residential complex located on property that was once occupied by Myrtle Beach Air Force Base. Great rooms. Be sure to call ahead if you are arriving late in the afternoon....their office may not be open. All condos over retail businesses. Most recently I have been over Barnes & Noble. Plenty of restaurants if you like chains like P.F. Changs and Tommy Bahama. The absolute best Piggly Wiggly grocery store I have been in with the best beer selection on the Grand Strand.

This place was GREAT!!! My husband and I wanted to get away but not stay in the hustle and bustle of the strip. The newly developed "mini-city" is the decommissioned old air-force base. We stayed over July 4th and had a good fireworks show right in our "neighborhood". The 1st floor isn't on the ground level. Our 1st floor room was right above Pottery Barn. I believe 1st floor is the only floor with the HUGE terraces. We could have had a dinner party for 12 out there. Beds are so comfortable. Bring a good book and take yourself an extra nap. There is not daily room service - but I don't care. There is a washer and dryer in the room so you can wash whatever you need. You will need soap but there is a Piggly Wiggly for that. Things to do; 1.) Bald Head island NC. About 1 1/2 hour drive. Wonderful time! It is a passenger ferry only island. Call ahead for a golf cart rental. The island is GREAT. We "accidentally" missed the ferry back and had to have a couple of fruity rum drinks at the harbor bar. 2.) Dave's Dockside at the Marshwalk has the BEST shrimp and grits! We are from Charleston and my husband knows shrimp and grits. I had the blackened Mahi on stone ground grits. I'm hungry just thinking about it. 3.) Fresh seafood - Seven Seas Seafood Market. The lady at Dave's Dockside suggest it. Local, daily caught seafood. SSS Market does most the seafood distribution for the Myrtle Beach area. 3.99 pound for small to medium shrimp - perfect for snacking while watching the fireworks. 4.) The Piggly-Wiggly down below the hotel has the BEST beer selection of any grocery store I've seen. 5.) Tommy Bahamas is great to eat - we sat in the bar and ordered appetizers. Sure it's a tourist thing but it is soooo good! 6.) Sam's Corner, best hot dog and fried pickles. The original one is on Sunnyside, I think. Cash only and it is a TOTAL dive! I got a foot-long corndog. So hope this was helpful to at least one of you. Enjoy!

It more than exceeded exectations, already counting the days until we return.

Everything was great. My 7 year old said it was the best vacation she had so far.

This accomodation by far lived up to our expectations and the area is amazing, everything is at your fingertips. We definitely recommend this place and will be returning soon!

I really liked the room. It was beautiful and comfortable. The bed was little hard for my comfort but was a great week there anyway. If I come back to the area would consider staying again.

There's only one word to describe the hotel and the Market Common...AMAZING! Beautiful and clean bed rooms, closet space, community, and shopping center. If you're visiting Myrtle Beach, THIS is the place you want to stay at! I'll never forget my experience and time with the Market Common/hotel. The only thing I can ask for is a swimming pool, but besides that, this place is OUTSTANDING!

My husband and I had the Studio condo and we really enjoyed our stay, especially having breakfast or dinner on the balcony and the weather was just perfect! True value for your money.

Great Hotel, a great place to stay. would stay there again

I absolutely loved this place. I expected to have an ok room and got a faboulous modern apartment with plenty of space. We loved it so much that we stayed an addidtional two days. The area was very well maintained and the staff especially Craig at the front desk was exceptional. Everything was within reach and the full kitchen enable you to save on eating out. I will return to this establishment again next year.

We received a park pass and we were told we can park anywhere on Myrtle Beach with the park pass.We parked near a resort on the beach called the Caravelle. It had metered parking and we were told we could park anywhere but then we got a ticket. The resort then told us we could only park in designated lots for the beach and they would not cover the ticket. This was a real damper on our vacation. Also the resort could use a swimming pool, but the resort itself is worth the money and very clean.

Your Missing out if you dont stay!

This is our second stay at Market Commons and we absolutely love the accommodations and the area. Really close to the beach and the shopping right below the hotel is really great. There are also a bunch of great restaurants and a cinema on-site. The area is very well-maintained. We had a great time and would definitely stay here again.

The facility was absoluty fabulous, very clean, spaceous and comfortable. The staff was friendly and warm. The area is beautiful and just minutes from the beach. I can't wait for my next visit.:)

My wife and I stayed here for our honeymoon. We could not have been happier with our choice. Everything about the place more than exceeded our expectations. This place is so much more than a standard hotel room. It is more like very a nice studio apartment. For the value, I cannot imagine one being able to find a better place to stay in the area. I would whole-heartedly recommend this place to anyone wishing to stay in the southern part of Myrtle Beach.

The hotel exceeded my expectations. My wife and two children really enjoyed their stay also. We will definitely stay there again and will recommend to others. Cons: Would be the parking but, this is something to expect when you are above a shopping center. Con: Atmosphere requires a little more diversity. Otherwise fantastic!

If you can live without a pool & don't have to be on the beach, I dare you to find a better place to stay! (AWESOME)

Was a good place, because we went when that was a bike week, so downtown was crazy. The apartment it self was roommy, well decorate and clean.

The condo was very attractive. The kitchen equipment was well supplied for a long stay. The area was lovely. We enjoyed our walk to the movie theater, less than a block from our condo. We are looking forward to our next stay.

This hotel room is very spacious and nice. I am a very picky person but I would RECOMMEND this to ANYBODY. And its not very expensive either.

I can't praise this place enough. We came to town for a conference, but didn't want to stay at one of the very expensive resorts. The facility was very nice, location was perfect, and The Market Commons was a very neat place to be. We were far enough away from the beach to NOT get caught in traffic, but close enough to easily get where we needed to be. I am planning a vacation soon with the family and will search for a place just like this in the place we are going.

We stayed in the two-bedroom two-bathroom suite with living room and kitchen. This was hands down the nicest room i have ever booked. The attention to detail was phenomenal, from the sophisticated decor to the pizza cutters and dishwashing detergent in the kitchen. We were able to cook all our meals, and found every pot pan and utensil that we needed. Trust me, the rooms look excatly like the pictures and as soon as we arrived, we felt clean and comfortable. The beds felt like we were sleeping on clouds and we really enjoyed the flat screen TVs and DVD player. I absolutely loved my stay here, and would come back to stay in a heartbeat!

After a very tedious and stressful 14 hr drive from New York to Myrtle Beach I was cranky and dreaded unpacking. When I opened the door to the apartment, my mood was instantly changed and was overwhelmed by the comfort and beauty of the apartment. It was absolutely stunning is all I can say. The bed was extremely comfortable, the apartment was spanking clean and the staff was most friendly, cooperative and cheerful. I will definitely come back. It was all I looked for and more. In truth, I hated to leave.

Our room was wonderful and we had everything we needed. The location was perfect and the overall cleanliness of the facility will definitely make a return trip...

Great hotel that's close to stores and right next to a park.

While looking at the Hotels.com info, I somehow missed that I wasn't getting a normal hotel room, I was renting out an entire condo! That means nobody cleaned my room every morning during my stay (which usually drives me nuts--I have the bed just like I want it, quit tucking the darned sheets in again), and it also means that I had a fabulous living room, full entertainment center, and kitchen with plenty of supplies. SO GREAT! And that bed! Oh my, so soft, so plush, so clean, so wonderful. I will totally have to buy myself one like that someday.

Great location for shopping and relaxing. Access to the park was just across the road. Would like to go back again.

The condo that we rented for the week we were in Myrtle Beach was awesome. Only being a mile away from the chaos was even better. It was quiet and very comfortable. Everything you could have want was within walking distance. It was great being able to see military jets and helicopters taking off while sitting on our balcony. We had a WONDERFUL experience and will definitely be back to rent again! Two thumbs up!

This condo was much more than we paid for. It was immaculately appointed. Beautiful view, entertainment pretty much on every corner, wonderful shops and restaurants (& no need to move the car). This was a fabulous experience from booking to checking in and out. The staff was personable and so helpful. Nothing was overlooked. Parking was a little sketchy but there were no other drawbacks. We were even given a pass into the state park.

We got much more than we paid for, this condo was beautifully appointed. The staff was outstanding. I've worked in customer service for almost 15 years, and would be proud to have ALL of them on my team. There was nothing (& I mean nothing missing/lacking in this condo). The master bed was like sleeping on a cloud and the view was beautiful especially at night. We would absolutely stay here again and again. Oops I lied a little - we were missing a stopper in the kitchen sink so we could wash dishes, but that was the ONLY thing that we were missing. We just used the dishwasher. As a side note-hotels.com was easy and the rep I spoke with was patient and very personable. This was a GREAT experience all around. Thanks

Excellent place for a vacation. We booked a two bedroom condo, lots of space to spread out and away from all the "clutter" of hotels on the beach.

I was not expecting a limited services (extended stay) hotel. I may have overlooked this when I was booking. But after staying I would definitely book it again. Instead of a hotel room it felt more like a newly constructed fully furnished two bedroom apartment. The Market Commons is a shopping area with rental units and condos above the shops. Parking was convenient and free. An upscale Piggly Wiggly (upscale because of selection not pricing) within walking distance made it very easy to feed. The drive to the beach and the tourist strip is only 5 minutes away. The 2 bedroom outfit also had a sofa bed (plenty of sleeping space). You will only be disappointed if you frown on washing your towel and no maid service (maybe on longer stays, I only spent 3 nights).

Pros: Nice Room, excellent location, clean/new. Cons: no maid service (I did not realize that rental meant no service such as making bed), combination to enter room and hotel (I preferred a key or card swipe, and front desk closed during night. I would recommend this hotel and stay again.

My stay was absolutely fantastic, perfect location w/ great resturants and shopping. Went during off season so the area was not to crowded which I loved. Room was better than the pictures online. Would definitely recommended and will stay again when in the area.
