Large private rooms, each with its own bath, couch, desk, cable tv w/hbo, mini fridge and separate entrence from the outside. The breakfasts were wonderful and plentiful. This bed and breakfast has potential, but is lacking in amenities. The cleanliness of the rooms was first rate, and the window air conditioner made the room comfortable. But there was no landscaping of the property and amenities like coffee and treats, standard in many B&Bs, were either absent or, in the case of coffee, just plain bad. The breakfast […] was tasty, but lacked any fresh fruit. Though, the room was advertized as the only one available, upon arrival there was only one more guest at this B&B and all other rooms were empty! This must be a marketing tool! There were no fresh flowers, magazines, books etc.... Traffic in and out of the B&B was relatives and friends of the owner, rather than guests! It looked like a B&B that had just started operation, but not quite established, though we were told they have been in operation for more than six years. I am sure with careful consideration of what other B&Bs offer, the Victonian Candle would be able to attract more guests and improve revenue. Also, though the photo in hotels.com for Victorian Candle shows a hut tub in bright blue, there was no hot tub! Please ensure the photos included in hotels.com matches those amenities offered by B&B, since the Victorial Candle did not have any hot tub in their website! Read more

Well this is a budget priced B&B, so you'll have to lower expectations a bit. If you have no unique needs and aren't too picky about service you would find it worth the low prices. If you have a special dietary need, plan on reminding them daily. If you don't like hard and thin bed pillows, bring your own. If forgetting to clean & restock your room […] for one day is an issue for you, think twice. If you need a steady stream of coffee make sure you ask for one of the rooms that has a coffee maker; the house's coffee runs out often. Read more
