"Lovely traditional hotel and service,"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Jul 18, 2011
An excellent hotel with character, located right on the dock, adjacent to the water taxi to the beach and in the middle of a number of restaurants. The staff were very helpful. We had a thoroughly enjoyable stay and would love to go back.
"Great Hotel.. Location??"Reviewed by The Codfather D of "Phoenix, AZ" on Apr 27, 2011
We booked this a year out it seemed.. Our travels were from South America to Europe..This property seemed great.. an old tuna village converted to an ecco friendly resort.. everthing was great.. the room quaint and clean, the bed AWFUL.. hard and small but english TV and lots of atmosphere..staff friendly and breakfast the BEST,, lots of choices. Private transport to the islands to beach.. unfortunatly we were there during a "sports week" on the island and the MUSIC was so loud coming across the waterway there was a constant "BOOM_BOOM" until 10:30 at night.. Ear plugs on the night we went to bed early was good.. the location secluded and about 1 mile from the town.. if you do not have a card, I think there is a shuttle.. Do not miss Tavira.. Albacora would of been perfect with "boom_boom"
"Still as wonderful as i remembered"Reviewed by K Whitaker of "West Midlands" on Sep 9, 2009
I first stayed at Pedras da Rainha over 20 years ago, and it retains a timeless charm. The pool is fabulous and the site is beautiful with bourganvilla , hibiscus and lots of well watered grass against the white villas. the accomodation is basic but very clean. The air conditioning was great, as was the outside patio. The bar meals are good value, as are the cocktails! It is a quiet oasis. We particularly like taking the boat to the beach - great waves and soft sand. Nearby monte Gordo is a lively place to visit in the evenings.

"DECEPCIONANTE"
Parece mentira que sea un 4 *, la habitación era un zulo. Los muebles del mercadillo y el lavabo fuera del baño. Es la primera vez que veo un lavabo en pleno dormitorio. No volvería a alojarme en este hotel.
