Hotel is a cold and a bit run down. Some updates have been down but not well. On the other hand, managers are helpful, and friendly. We water ski, so to be on the chain of lakes was great. We also enjoyed the pool area. Would go back.

The motel is in a beautiful spot on Lake Roy and it was delightful watching the sun set over the lake. The owner of the motel was very accommodating, especially in light of the fact that I didn't arrive until about 11:00 pm and got him out of bed. He stayed his usual cheerful self when I also needed to get him out of bed again at 7:00 am on the day […] I left because I had locked some of my belongings in the room. Having said that, I would like to comment on the room itself. The bed was terrible. It would be nice to have a hand-held shower and the beautiful tile floors were filthy. A simple swipe with a mop would enable guests to walk around barefoot without encountering filthy feet. I would stay there again if only because the owner and staff were so helpful. Read more

Excellent stay... heated pool, great docs over a lake with plenty of relaxing. Don't listen to the pretensious douche bags who are all like ewww its old blah blah. Who cares? Its on a lake with a nice pool. Near Walmart, publix, Lego land and more.

Whenever I visit friends and family in Winter Haven I always stay here. The rooms are clean and comfortable but not exactly 5 star hotel quality! I always book a room on the lake side where there is a screened balcony overlooking the lake and pool which is beautifully maintained with lots of pots of flowering plants. This is a good hotel if you don't want to spend time in the hotel. It is very clean but is an older hotel. They seem to paint it often and keep up the rooms pretty nice. Nothing fancy for sure but the owners are very nice. We spent 5 nights there last year and came back again this year. No smells at all but they need new pillows!

We booked two rooms thru Hotels.com. The air conditioning didn't work in my sisters room so she was moved to another room. Her room was updated and pleasant. Our needed some serious work. Packing tape over holes in the shower etc

The entire facility is a bit dated and the rooms are very simple, but the location is perfect with the lake setting and 2 minutes from LegoLand. My children found a sock between the sheets of their bed (it wasn't ours!). There was trash under the bed skirt. The mattresses felt like they were 30 years old. The towels were thin, old, tiny. The complimentary breakfast was so bad, I wouldn't let my children eat it. The only nice thing about the hotel was saying goodbye!

We drank our coffee and looked at the lake. It was so peaceful. Granddaughter & our little dog had good time. Walked along the small but nice sandy beach, feed the ducks, didn't fish but will the next time we stay. Which will be in December. Owners and staff couldn't of been nicer!!!

Hotel is pretty old. Asked for non-smoking room but was put in one! No hair dryer. had to ask down at the lobby. Room was uncomfortable, a/c unit was very noisy. If turn on, the bed closer to the a/c unit is very cold. Can hear people in other room snoring.... Kept up most of the night.

It looks alot better in pictures online then when you arrive your a bit dissapointed in the condition of the place. The view of Lake Roy definitely makes up for it and the convenience of being close to Legoland does as well. But if your looking for modern accomadations and cleanliness shy away from this place. We will not ever stay here again.

The fire alarm was biping during night, I was call to front desk, but the telephone has really bad reception, but after few minutes, they ask me if I can remove the battery inside fire alarm advice. Check-in was odd. There was someone telling the clerk exactly what to do at all times & it was just odd. We got to our room and it was pretty out-dated. The door was rickity & the dead-lock was super hard to turn. The a/c unit looked extremely old but it did work, it was just loud. The mini fridge was turned all the way up but didn't keep milk cold […] enough to drink. Cable channels didn't come in clear, telephone cord kept coming out of the phone, and the internet was slow. The room itself was clean, the beds were ok. The continental breakfast had yogurt, bananas, cereal, juices and packaged pastries. The best thing about the hotel was that it's next to a beautiful, serene lake but you have to specifically ask for a room with the lake view or book a suite. We had a room on the 2nd floor facing the parking lot. We were in town to visit LegoLand, so the view of our room wasn't important. I would stay again but request a room with a lake view. The room was good. I had no problems. the back is so nice. the pool very cleaned. Had nice huts in the back to chill and relax. Dont expect no 5 star hotel if thats what you're looking for go rent at the marriott. for the money I think it was good. I brought my own blankets cuz I dont like to sleep on other peoples blankets.

When we arrived they had us on the second floor and with no elevators would be hard for my fiance as he has a bad back. The gentleman was very accomodating and swithed us to a ground floor room. Did not spend much time at hotel, but there was plenty to do if you love the water. Very close to Legoland and the City of Winter Haven. The rooms could do with some maintance; the front door to room was sprung and very hard to close, Refgerator needs a coat of paint on the outside, the lamp on the night stand had no lamp in it, A good pressure wash […] on the outside would do alot to help overall cleanlyness of Hotel. Wasn't horrible but I will never stay there again nor would i recommend . The beds slept like hammocks, the middle of both of our beds were caved in and the mattresses had holes in them and stains. The quality of everything in the room was very old! Upgrades and new appliances needed BADLEY!

Thankfully hotels.com refunded us. We booked this stay based on the photos and reviews for a recent trip to legoland. As soon as we pulled into the parking lot my first thought was of bed bugs. There were weird people roaming around the parking lot and rusted out stairwells that I didn't want my 7-year-old to navigate.
