"Home from Home"
We arrived early and were happy that reception still allowed us to check in to our room. A wonderful lodge in beautiful surroundings. Massive bed, super kitchen with plenty of utensils, very spacious and clean accommodation. Great facilities with pool included in price. We didnt play tennis so dont know if included but plenty of tennis courts available. […] DVDs available for rent. A real home from home that gave us the option of eating in or out and well situated for visiting all that the area has to offer.

"I liked it! Beautiful view of Loon Mountain!"
03/05/15 jazjudd Massachusetts
After reading all the other reviews here on tripadvisor, I had to check the pictures to make sure this was the same place I stayed at the end of January. Yes it is! We stayed in a 2 bedroom lodge in the building across from the playground. We were here for three nights (monday-wednesday) for skiing at Loon, right across the way. I really liked it! Its is an older building, showing its age, but the unit we had was very clean and smelled fine. The kitchen had everything we needed, pots, pans, spatulas, wine opener, dish detergent, etc. Everything except salt and pepper! LOL We had a king size bed, and four twin beds upstairs. We had 2 full bathrooms and with plenty of towels. There was lots of storage space for skis or sleds, or baby carriages. Whatever you need to store. I liked the gas fireplace in the living room. Kept that room nice and warm! We rented a few movies from Redbox and watched them on the DVD player in the room. The free wi-fi also worked fine. I did not hear any noise from any surrounding units. It was very quiet when we were here. Check-in was a breeze. We arrived early because a blizzard was fast approaching back home. Our room was ready early. We were giving all kinds of information upon check-in, including check-out time, and pool passes. All employees were pleasant. I would definately stay here again. Great place at a great price!
"Good location, housekeeping issues"
02/05/15 hipbee Orlando
The good: The location was great, right across from Loon. The shuttle busses ran very often and we had no issues getting right on the bus. Also, the drivers were polite. Upon arrival, the room was as clean as it could be given the old carpeting. The walkways were shoveled in a timely manner. All appliances worked. Nice enough pool area. Dated but what you would expect for an older ski place that doesn't cost much. The hot tubs were hot, which I really appreciate. The bad: The housekeeping was horrible after arrival. We requested it twice in 5 days and all we got was a big bag of towels two days in a row! It was crazy. Okay if you don't want to make the beds, but what we really needed was a vacuuming and re supply. We ran out of everything (except we had enough towels for a small army) and needed to go to the desk to restock. We ended up sweeping the salt off the carpet with a broom. Very pathetic housekeeping. When we asked about it the front desk attendant said she was the wrong person to talk to. She couldn't do anything about it and she would pass it along. Frustrating. The place needs new carpeting at least. I kept smelling pee in the master bedroom. Bring your own pillows. Their pillows are neck killers. Bring pots and pans. We only had 2 small pots for cooking. The walls are thin and we heard our neighbors as clear as a bell. Thankfully, there were box fans to drown them out at night. Also, our fireplace had to be slapped several times in order to turn on. Finally, it would be nice if they had a few busses running for après ski. The last bus is about 4:30. We would stay here again for the location, price. We would just be sure to keep our expectations low.
"OK place to stay- lacking customer service"

I appreciated the previous reviews as it prepared me for the condition of the condo. The rooms are somewhat run down but good for the price. I liked having a separate bedroom. The only thing that really bothered me was the smell of cigarette smoke in the master bath/ bedroom. I mentioned it at checkout and the woman at the desk said a lot of people smoke on the deck, but I stated it was definitely in the bed/ bath area. I don't think she believed me and there was no apology for the smell. Checkout time was posted no where. We got a call at 10:35 that checkout time was at 10:00. At checkout I apologized for being late and noted the checkout time was not in any literature or paper work I was given. She sternly stated it is in the fine print when I signed upon check in. I told her the upstairs TV does not work and she said it is only for games, that were not provided. On the other hand, my teenage boys and their friends loved the pools, game room and weight room. I liked the proximity to loon. Might return again at right price.
"Great Location but not much else"
01/06/15 Lori L Mansfield, Massachusetts, United States
The condos are conveniently located and were relatively clean. The facility is a bit dated and not in good repair. The free internet didn't really work, the bed linens were very subpar and the only toiletries provided were soap and shampoo. I asked for housekeeping but no one came - even after 2 phone calls! After a long day of skiing, not fun to return to the condo without the beds made. Staff seemed friendly but then didn't act on any requests. Pool was very old, hot tub had lots of missing tiles and uneven floor surrounding the area. Locker rooms were also old and grungy. Pool facility overall didn't feel clean - not very inviting although seemed like a great amenity to have.
"Good all around"

I found this accommodation to be everything we needed for a quick family pre holiday outing. First off, you can't beat the location: right across the street from the slopes of Loon Mountain on the Kancamangus Highway. The front desk was efficient and addressed any needs or questions throughout our stay. They even delivered extra blankets within minutes our second evening there. The unit we had was spacious and had a great layout for our party of Great grand mom, GPa and GMom and the additional family with two small ones, with a master bedroom/king bed, two twins in the second BR and two more twins in a loft. We had plenty of towels and the kitchen was stocked nicely. We appreciated the stainless pots and pans and glassware, and the stocked coffee filters, and cleaning supplies. A good size flat screen on the wall, with DVD/CD player (movie rentals available in the rec center) and a push button gas fireplace rounded out the unit amenities. We had the option of daily housekeeping. There is adequate storage outside the door for ski equipment, or other storage of vacation toys and there is also a slider off the dining area opening to an outside patio for warmer weather. We enjoyed using the fitness room, indoor heated pools, indoor and outdoor hot tubs and dry sauna. The bath and locker areas were maintained well and clean, although all areas show their age. There is a free shuttle that runs most of the day to the Loon Mountain ski area. All staff was helpful and friendly. I would stay here again. no complaints.
"a good week"
12/02/14 rnlose Gilmanton, New Hampshire
This is our third time here. We are owners of a timeshare here and we come back this year rather than trading it out. If you are skiers, it's great. Right across the street from Loon Mountain. The staff at the desk (one particular woman both checked us in and out) is very personable and friendly. No one comes in on a daily basis to clean. They did call us the night we checked in to see if everything was OK. We stayed in one of the updated condos and liked where ours was in the resort. It was pretty crowded being Thanksgiving week but where we were was very quiet. (#326) It's close to all the attractions should you stay here in the summer and we did a little in-town shopping on black Friday. Also took a trip up to Bethlehem on the same day and got our Christmas Tree at the Rocks Estate. Highly recommend going there. A beautiful ride. Back to the accomodations. Everything was acceptable. However, I would suggest small vacuum cleaners in the rooms rather than those useless carpet cleaners. Would like to see a few more pots/pans to cook with (THANKSGIVING DINNER!!!) luckily, I knew from experience and brought some of my own. The hot water in the showers need to be hotter. It was fine in the kitchen but noticeably lower in the bathroom. Also, would like the timer in the fireplace to be set for longer period of time. It shuts off after 30 minutes. what a pain. Plenty of storage in the unit and the kids loved having the entire upstairs to themselves. We will come back again for sure.
"Hope I get to go there again."
Excellent for a big family such as ours. Kids loved the movie nights with popcorn. Tennis courts are well maintained so my big girls got to practice on the vacation. My favourite spot- pool deck:) with the view of the mountain. Very nice gym as well. We also lived the location and enjoyed walks around the resort , and down to the river. Short distance drive to the town is also a plus- as we could access all the town amenities such as shopping, restaurants and even brewery in the next door village.
"The accommodations were comfortable and clean"
I gave this resort a 4 star which is generous and maybe not deserving. The unit was spacious and clean. I loved having woods right outside my windows. There were some issues but the staff bends over backwards to fix things or please you. Staff at the desk were very polite and addressed any needs. Fresh towels were replaced each day if you allowed the housekeeper in. She would call and ask if you needed service and if you said no she would come in anyway. I didn't care for that. A few things that were lacking: no hooks to hang things, no hangers in the closet, no shelves in the bathroom closet, the stove didn't work properly but I asked for a griddle and that was fine for what we needed. The unit was well stocked with kitchen items. There were lots of windows. The layout for the living space was great but the bedrooms were really not set up with little kids in mind. Two bedrooms with twin beds in each room in the loft with ladders going up to them. The kids slept in our bed because I was too afraid to put them up there. There was one bathroom for a three bedroom unit. As for the pool there were two pools side by side and very clean. There is no supervision the first time we went there and there was a family wit 6 kids run wild who swam in their underwear. There were a few safety issues in the pool area. The pool is not close to the units. You really need to drive to it. This resort is in a perfect location to do attractions such as: the Flume, the Hobo junction, Kancamangus Highway, lots of hikes, and so e shopping. There are lots of covered bridges in the area to check out. And of course skiing is a major attraction and super close by. The Woodstock Station Inn is the best restaurant in the area. It's just a few miles from the resort. Also Flapjacks for breakfast is the best meal and deal. We had a great week and liked our unit very much. I would stay here again.
