No airport shuttle available, no coffeepot in room as advertised sheets were not comfortable after many washings needed to be replaced floor had cracks

The shuttle service is only Monday to Friday which wasn't much help for my weekend stay. When equiring about the shuttle service the receptionist didn't make clear that the she had understood that I wanted to be pickup by shuttle bus and seemed as if she didn't hear me. So had to make two phone calls (expensive as I was calling from the swiss side) […] to clearify I wanted to be pick up then on Saturday and not Monday (but this could just be down to language). As I was only there over night I haddn't changed any Euros and only had credit cards. Unfortuantly the french taxi driver's card reader couldn't read magnetic strip only and needed a card with a chip. The staff were friendly enough but unhelpful in fixing this problem. The next day I had to set off on foot to Geneva airport which googlemaps says is 1h5min away but took 45mins as I went through some fences. Read more

This is a nice basic hotel, easy access to the airport with a convenient shuttle. Front desk staff very friendly and helpful for the most part. Did not care for the service in the restaurant.

the hotel has very pleasant staff. The rooms have few amenities and are not very confortable, beds are hard and bathrooms lack proper lighting. The parking is shared by multiple buildings and spaces are scarce. Overall, it's OK for a short stay but not confortable enough.

The door to the adjoining room was unlocked. Another hotel guest freely entered my room through this unlocked door. This should have been checked prior to giving the room to a new guest. The kitchenette did not include any dish soap or sponge to clean the cookware.

States they offer free shuttle service to and from airport. NOT TRUE!!!! Called hotel to be picked up at airport. 2 hours later we were picked up. Had an early flight, shuttle service not available for us at that time. Paid BIG BUCKS for cab to take us to airport. A basic level but comfortable hotel and convenient for access to the Swiss border. Complimentary Parking is plentiful and Wi-Fi is available everywhere at no cost. The room comprised a double bed with a nice en-suite bathroom, flat screen tv with many French and German channels but only a couple of English language sites (News channels). Housekeeping […] is daily although we experienced two consecutive days where this wasn't the case and the rooms did not seem to be 'dusted' well, however, the reception staff were helpful, apologetic and provided replacement towels and sheets. Breakfast was very good, lots of choices on offer but dining in the evening was a little lacklustre from what we felt was a limited menu and we had to wait nearly an hour for the main courses. As with everything you get what you pay for and this accommodation makes a vast difference to the sky-high prices that are charged over the border in Switzerland. All in all it was a pleasant stay, I would recommend this hotel, it's no Hilton or Sheraton particularly if you are on a budget. Read more

Hotel is nice and clean but far from downtown geneva. Service is good except don't count on them giving you wake up calls. I requested them to do that twice and both cases they didn't call me. Luckily i had my cellphone alarm as a backup.

Price was very reasonable, and since I was traveling by rental car, the Ferney Voltaire location, west of the airport was a pleasant surprise. Very convenient and they were extremely nice. Although in France, the place is close to Geneva airport, and there are direct busses to the airport and to Geneva. However during the weekends, esp late at night or early in the morning the busses are not frequent and then stop. It cost me 30 swiss franks to book an early taxi to the airport.

Once we were able to get a taxi, apparently none are available from the French side of airport, and after we had paid an exorbitant taxi fare, we found hotel and reception staff very friendly. Unfortunately they only provide a shuttle service on week days so had to pay another exorbitant taxi fare back to airport. Terrible experience. First night, the air-conditioning in the room was not working. When complained to the reception, I was advised to open the windows. Nothing they can do. All night we had noise from outside. The second night was worse. Apart from the air-conditioning, the toilet flush failed and the phone in the room was dead. When I threatened to sit in the reception until something was done, I was given another room, equally bad, but at least phone and flushed worked. Generally good value for money. The airport shuttle service is very helpful and makes staying at the hotel much more worthwhile. Breakfast, like most of the other French hotels, is not good value although when I was there a discount promotion made it more worthwhile.

Characterless hotel situated in a suberb of the airport - 10 minute taxi ride still cost 18 euros. Hotel has a mini bus-not available on Sunday. Hotel has a bar and restaurant - closed on Saturday yes folks you read it here. Breakfast ok, guy on reception and the free wifi excellent. Rooms cold cheap wooden floor, heating via aircon. ie no radiators […] or control. The weather in the summer must be tropical-in Geneva - as there is an outdoor pool. Surrounding area is apartments, no restaurants or bars until you walk 10-15 minutes to the local shops which are ok. 1st night stay was ok comfortable room but no mention of shuttle bus not working at weekends at time of booking! the 2nd night stay a week later was awful was given a room which was prebooked, which consisted of a sofa bed and a dirty bathroom. We had big problems trying to get a room with a standard bed, typically no manager around, people working […] there with no name badges and no uniform. I have stayed many times in Geneva but this is my first time to stay in Ferney Voltaire. The price is much cheaper than geneva and you get a much better room than you would at the cheaper geneva hotels. The cost is that is takes a while to get across the border on the F bus, and you need to be prepared, with the right money and some idea of the timetable. […] For WHO or ILO or Red Cross it is very good as the bus goes right past those places. If you are out in Geneva it can be difficult as after 10 the bus runs hourly and it is quite difficult to find the bus stop at Cornavin Station due to station renovations.
