Staff was great. Hallways rundown and carpets rundown. Neighborhood can be sketchy at night.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great Location but VERY NOISY"
We came here for a night getaway to wake up in the Venice area. The location was great, staff was very friendly, the appearance inside is a bit run down (stained carpets, etc.) but the noise factor was insane. We could literally hear our neighbors turning knobs and breathing - so in the morning we were woken up every 5 minutes but anyone on the floor […] who was stirring, and the night was no better. This is frustrating when the point was to take a restful break and relax, but if you're just here for the location it's perfect. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Right on beach"
The hotel is right on the beach which is great, but didn't feel safe walking along the board walk at night due to all the homeless people. However the next morning all the markets and stalls started to setup and it was all fine.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Not so satisfied stay at Cadillac hotel"
So much noise, old elevator, broken windows, cheap bed and pillows. Shower and bathroom were good. room had a great view but since the doors and windows are cheap, old and some broken, so much noise comes in all the time. Lobby is soooo old and worn out. They charge $20 for parking which they don't disclose and mandatory $5 fee for technology use which […] you cant waive. Parking and condition of the hotel are the major issue. Nice and welcoming staff. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
They need to invest a lot more in the hotel, the location is not bad if you know what happens in Venice beach, extra charges for wifi or electricity doesnt make any sense, however the worst is the fee that you have to pay in the closest parking lot, which doesn't even have security, I wouldnt recommend it for the price.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
There were small pieces of hair on my sheets and pillows. Small rooms and needs tlc. Parking is very right.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Close to beach, and shops"
Staff was great and friendy. Close to the beach. The prce is right if your not expecting a brand new hotel.Genuine Expedia guest review
The room was tiny , the shower was filthy and the electricity turned on and off several times before maintenance actually came to fix it only good thing about this hotel was the location and the view other than that it is extremely overpriced with the worst 20 dollar parking everGenuine Expedia guest review
"Finding the hotel and Parking are MAJOR PROBLEMS"
Cadillac Hotel is in a web of one-way streets and small alleys along the beach area. There is no sign on the OUTside of the building that we could find after dark. My husband walked around the area and had to ask at a restaurant where the hotel was. As it was after 9 p.m., we did not go to the room, but paid for parking and went to dinner. When we returned […] a 11, the entire parking lot was filled, including the driveway into the parking lot. Shady characters were stumbling around in the parking lot drinking from bottles in brown paper bags. Homeless people were curled up on blankets on the sand a stone's throw from the front door of the hotel. The manager told us we would have to leave our car key with him to sort out the parking situation. We were driving a brand new car that we had just picked up a few hours earlier, and street parking was not an option within many blocks, due to the narrow alleys. The room might have been just fine, but we never saw it. We told the manager that we first needed a safe, legitimate parking place; he said he could not help us if we did not leave the key. So we told him we could not stay, and left to forage for a hotel room with a reasonable parking option. When we pursued the matter to have the Cadillac room charge removed from our credit card, the manager apparently told Expedia that it was our "perception" that was there was a problem. Buyer Beware! if you look for this hotel in the dark or want to park your safely park your car! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Good Location if you are wanting eclectic Venice!"
We were visiting our Daughter at LMU about 10 min away and wanted to be on the beach. For the price this location was great. The hotel was old but they tried to keep it well maintained. The front desk staff was very helpful. The parking was a little hectic but we always got a spot - the front desk was very helpful w/ this too. This is not a pampering […] hotel - it is a great location and a great price. Not great for families w/ small children. Young people or young couples would be best. I give it a 5 out of 10 stars. But the price was fantastic. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"It was amazing"
It was no Marriot hotel but I truly enjoyed my stay here. The man at hte front desk was very attentive and got us checked in 4 hours earlier then expected, They made sure everything was good at our room and the shower was AMAZING! It was a bit pricey . The downside is that they charge for crazy fees. I ended up paying 70 more in parking and wifi fees. […] And they dont give you a choice. you have to pay for it. "Don't Stay Here If You Have a Car"
The way they list the parking situation online makes it seem like there is parking available at both the hotel and close by. When I checked in at night they informed me they had no parking and I had to drive over 5min away in an area that I didn't feel 100% comfortable parking my vehicle in. When I woke up early in the morning I discovered my car was […] towed. When I came back to the hotel I spoke with another guest that had the same exact problem. If I would have known there was no parking offered I would have taken a cab and left my car at my work, however this was not the case. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Charming place in Venice"
Having booked an inexpensive hotel in Venice, I was a little nervous. Was it going to be a run-down dump in a scary neighborhood? In the end, I was delighted. The hotel is small and so are the rooms, but everything is clean, charming and friendly. There is a beautiful watercolor painting at the check-in that shows off the beauty of what that area and […] the Cadillac hotel were in the fifties. For me it really set the mood. I loved the giant old-fashioned bathroom that fills up with steam. There are no frills in the room at all. You sleep, you wake up, and you walk to the beach - that's all. Oh, and there is a beautiful restaurant across the street which I will have to try out next time we are here. Looks perfect for a cozy dinner. A definite do-again for me! The image on the website had absolutely nothing to do with reality. My room was a closet, complete with broken shower head, six channels on the tv, no shower door, and a view straight into a neighbor's apartment where he did heavy construction all night. Even with my ear plugs in, the vibration from the heater and the banging from the neighbor kept […] me from sleeping at all. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. "Complete dump, terrible location, pot smoking"
we were shocked by the condition of the hotel. The carpets are filthy, staff mediocre, smell of pot smoke all over the place, paper-thin walls, disgusting and tiny elevator, scary people in the streets, nightmare parking lot (very few spots, head in only and must reverse to get out of the lot, inches of clearance between cars). we had booked 3 nights, […] but checked out first thing in the morning and are requesting a refund. "It's a good hotel!!"
We booked the hotel for 4 nights and I was pretty satisfied with everything! The rooms are clean which I think is the most important part. The staff was also very nice, they offered us a city tour and told us what to do. We also got a parking space right behind the hotel. The only thing I didn't like was the street where the hotel is located! It's kind […] of dirty. But on the other side of the hotel, there is this beautiful Ocean Front Walk and it's directly onthe beach. All in all we really enjoyed staying at this hotel in Venice. "The hotel location is good. It is noisy , smell."
We stayed only one night . It was very noisy. We could not sleep whole night. There were marks on the bed sheet. The room was smell. We parked our rental car on the hotel parking spot. When we checked in , a staff said to us $20.00 Next morning we checked out , a staff charged us $25.00. My husband just paid it. I was upset and asked my husband why […] you paid it. "It's Venice Homeless Beach not Beverly Hills"
If you get a room on the side street you will not sleep. The windows are very old and in need of repair. The noise from the restaurant and the street you will not sleep. The rooms have the old fashioned floor heaters that do not work. Beware you will freeze if the nights get cold. My girlfriend had to sleep in the bathroom with 2 blankets on the floor. […] For $130.00 a night you would at least expect a heated room. The staff at the front desk are very nice but they do not sleep in the rooms. The homeless are all over the place sleeping on the beach in front of the hotel. If you do decide to stay bring your own electric blanket. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
We were fooled by the nice photos and mislead into believing that the hotel is in good condition and clean. We found the hotel not at all like the images on hotels.com. The hotel accepts pets who urinate throughout the hallways on carpet that has large bleach spots everywhere -presumably a cleaning effort for the dog urine. The overwhelming disgusting […] odor of urine + Bleach was so bad, we had to sleep with the window open (chilly 60F weather at night) The carpet in the guest rooms was equally old, stained and smelled awful. We didn't walk barefoot or sleep under the bed covers. The lack of cleanliness was seriously bad. We would have been better off sleeping in the car. One night was enough. We got lucky and found a rate at the Delfina nearby that was actually LESS than this DUMP --after they added fees for everything but breathing. We would NEVER stay there again & warn anyone considering it to stay anywhere but the Cadillac --such a misnomer!! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

Very nice, updated hotel with a great location right on the boardwalk. Front desk staff was very helpful and so nice. I would stay at this hotel again, it's right on the beach where all of Venice beach activities. There are food places all on the beach. The food will cost per person about $12 -$18 dollars. It's a CVS in walking distance where you can get bottle water for your room or snacks. If you like to go to the gym, Gold Gym is in walking distance too.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Would not ever stay here again"
It is clear that the hotel is undergoing renovations. The carpets in the rooms were in a word- disgusting. There was a musty smell and virtually no air circulation. The bathrooms although renovated resembled what I imagine an asylum bathroom to be. For the price that I paid, I am extremely dissatisfied with my experience.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Awesome no-frills hotel"
We brought our dog and our baby to stay at the Cadillac Hotel in Venice. Truly pet-friendly hotels are hard to find, so the fact that Cadillac was cool with our sub-30 lb pooch (small extra fee), was reasonably priced, and sat right on the boardwalk was perfect. The building was funky and there were better rooms than what we got, however, our room was […] minimalist in an uncool way, not a sleek, modern way. The elevator was slow and tiny, which I normally wouldn't care about if I didn't have a mountain of baby gear to move upstairs. We had a great time and would stay again for the price, but it is best for a no little kids situation. Also, if you don't know anything about Venice, you should look it up. It ain't Santa Monica, and that is a good thing for a couple from San Francisco, maybe not so much for more conservative sensibilities. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"It's simply "ok"."
To be honest, for the money you get the value you are paying for. We paid below average for the area and got just that. A very small shower and no AC but at least it's right smack on the beach which was awesome (especially for the money). Next time though, I'll be paying a little more and getting something with a little more comfort. Also, if you're […] on the 4th floor, don't trust the room direction signs. Someone there doesn't know how to count. 410, 409, 408, 404, 411, 418, 410...No worries though I love a brain buster! The guy at the front desk though was great. Super helpful. So if you're looking for nothing more than a bed to sleep in then, for the money, this place it great. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
Paper thin walls, pipes make noise every time someone flushes in the room above you. Woke me up sevral times it's really loud!
