This is not an easy hotel to like. It's certainly well placed on the sea front in St Julians, with an easy walk to lots of restaurants, the views from the front rooms are nice (can't vouch for the others), and the rooms are clean. But that's about as far as I'd go. There were lots of small things wrong - no telephone in my room, and worse, they didn't […] realise it even when they tried to call me! A fridge, but unplugged and nothing in it. A knackered head on a new looking shower, with a shower surround that leaked. One towel (no hand towel), a TV with three channels, all fuzzy. A hotel guide with scribbles on it and precious little info (my friend had nothing in his room). Balconies are tiny, with no furniture to sit on. No room service as you'd expect in a 3*. Worn out bedding. No tea/coffee making facilities. Don't bother with breakfast - instant coffee, UHT milk, orange squash rather than juice. The hotel has clearly been improved at some point, but it's been sloppily done. Most worrying now is that there weren't fire extinguishers in the holders on my floor! It could be a lovely place, but needs masses of work. I won't blame the staff because they did certainly try, but are clearly overworked and undertrained. I'm afraid I wouldn't stay again. Read more

シャワー室の設備がおかしく、シャワーを浴びたら部屋が水浸しになり、荷物は全て浸水、歩けない程水が床に溜まり、レセプションに返金までとはいかずともせめて部屋を変えてくれと頼んでも対応してくれず、タオル4枚だけ渡されただけでした。 そもそもシャワーを浴びただけで部屋が水浸しになる構造がおかしいし、Wi-Fi込みの料金の部屋にも関わらずWi-Fiも繋がらない、レセプションは何を言っても対応してくれず、お金を払う価値がありませんでした。

Vi havde en fantastisk ferie på Malta og en stor del af det var den fantastiske service de yder på St. Julians Bay Hotel! Daglig rengøring hvis man ønsker det, ikke noget med samme håndklæder hver dag! Desværre var deres morgenmadsrestaurant under ombygning - og den restaurant som havde tjansen istedet var slet ikke opgaven voksen, dårlig kaffe, tørt […] brød - så selvom vi havde bestilt morgenmad hele ugen valgte vi at spise i de omkringliggende restauranter hvilket der er rigeligt af, man er ikke lange fra noget og alligvel ikke lige midt i byen! Deres morgenmadsrestaurant skulle være oppe og køre i 2013, så hvis ferien går til Malta og i skal have et billigt hotel med en god service, ville jeg ikke tøve med at tage St. Julians Bay Hotel! Inizio con i punti dolenti, e chiudo con quelli favorevoli. Stanza al 1°piano, con muffa alle pareti, e odore conseguentemente fastidioso, che rendeva necessario dormire a finestra aperta. Ho sorvolato finché nella via sottostante non hanno iniziato, sistematicamente, a fare rumore dalle 4 alle7 del mattino, in media. A quel punto mi hanno spostato, […] ma con un giorno di ritardo, e solo per l'ultima notte di permanenza a Malta, in un'altra stanza più confortevole, ma pulita con scarsa cura (io non ho molti capelli, e ho trovato nel bagno e nell'armadio capelli lunghi che non possono appartenermi). Per avere il telecomando dell'aria condizionata bisogna andare a chiedere nella reception. Cassaforte non bullonata alla parete (a causa della muffa che ha sgretolato il cemento) nella prima stanza, e siccome era bloccata hanno dovuto sbloccarla, ma sono stati necessari tre giorni (sono arrivato sabato mattina, e la cassaforte è stata sbloccata solo martedì mattina). Nella seconda tutto ok, a parte che la cassaforte "perdeva i pezzi" dando perciò un'idea di scarsa sicurezza. Il WIFI ai piani funzionava a singhiozzo, e piùvolte lo ho resettato io "abusivamente" di persona. Non c'è nessun ristoro, e nella reception ci sono solo il portiere, un'operatrice turistica e un paio di distributori automatici. Ora i lati positivi, brevemente. La posizione è ottima, proprio sulla baia, a metà strada tra Paceville e Sliema. Il personale è molto cortese, gentile e disponibile. Ospiti giovani. Read more

We first got a room with a beautiful view over the sea and parts of the road under. The room was big and clean but had two big issues. The first one was that it had no fridge. It was very annoying not being able to put water or other drinks cold. They claimed that none of their rooms had a fridge. The other (BIG) issue we noticed under our first night.. […] The aircondition was broken!! It blew out cooling air the first 5-10 minutes, then hot air blew out of the ac. When we asked the staff for help with it, they changed the settings on the control. Unfortunately it only worked for a couple of minutes, then the ac blew out hot air again. This continued for three nights. On the second night already I asked for a new room since we had had enough. They had tried several times to fix the ac with the control, and they claimed that a technician had looked at it and fixed it. They also claimed that it was not possible to change rooms since they where fully booked. But after a third night of hell, impossible to sleep due to constant swetting (boiling hot in the room with or without the ac) I demanded a new room, and then finally we got one. The new room had no view at all, the smalles balcony, much smaller room... But a funtional ac, and also a fridge (even though they claimed NO room had a fridge). The rest of our stay was good. The location of the room was superb! It was close to everything. The cleaning was excellent. New towels and cleaning every day. Read more

Zimmer mit vielen Schäden und Mängeln, aber Klimaanlage - leider ohne Fernbedienung nicht zu regeln (an oder aus geht über Steckdosenschalter) Frühstück im Restaurant nebenan absolut mangelhaft (Auswahl und Qualität) Fahrstuhl sehr klein und ohne Bedienungsanzeige, Türsicherung fehlt, Funktion eher Glücksache. Ein Handtuch/Person, Wechsel alt gegen […] neu erst wenn die Waschmaschine fertig ist. Zusätzlich ein Duschvorleger. Der Wasserhahn lief wie nur wenig stärker als ein schnelles Tropfen. Die Dusche hatte etwas mehr Druck, aber insgesamt zu wenig. Lautes Hotel mit vielen Jugenlichen / Studenten, die dann auch gern mitten in der nacht ne klasse Party auf dem Flur veranstalten und einfach mal ein paar Gäste von Zimmer zu Zimmer anrufen - das macht viel Spaß in der Nacht - hurraaa. Wir haben dann denStecker herausgezogen. Das Benehmen der Gäste ist dem Alter angemessen, man darf sich nicht wundern, wenn diese in der lobby schlafen und dabei die Füße auf den Tischen und Sitzflächen loegen lassen - warum auch nicht - es ist ja nicht meins.
