"Very Nice Room"
Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Dec 9, 2009
The quality of the room was excellent. The only real problem we experienced was trying to control the water temperature of the shower; it was either way too hot or too cold. We considered asking for a different room but decided it wasn't worth the hassle.

The perfect place for someone who wants to be able to retreat from the intense activity of "the strip" yet be close by. Easy walking distance from the Wynn and Treasure Island. Cheaper food available across the street in the mall. The room itself was truly fabulous with lots of little extras you would expect in a 5 star hotel. Strangely lacking were some little things like an ice bucket and soap for the shower.

Simply it's a great hotel. Location is a little off the main strip but you have fashion show mall directly across the street and a constant queue of available taxis to go anywhere else. Hotel is immaculate, staff are friendly and helpful. Rooms are huge, with a great shower. There is no casino but that's what the hotels on the strip are for.

They started by giving us a late check out of 4pm, then when they heard our plane was delayed for 2 hours and that we had been traveling for 10 hours, they upgraded us to a room with a view of the Las Vegas strip. When we were checking out we asked if they could hold our baggage since our plane was a red-eye and they gave us an even later check-out of 8pm. The spa was great. Everyone was friendly, helpful and made sure our stay was wonderful in every way. From the Valet, to the waitress, to the front desk and housekeeping - without being sticky sweet - they were very pleasant. No snobbery here. First class hotel. My husband and I loved the jacuzzi - big enough for the both of us and 3 levels of jet pressure. The marble and glass bathroom with plush robes made even bathing romantic. Every amenity The kitchen had all the amenities as did the bathroom. Would most definitely stay there again. And I really like the fact that it was a block off the strip with no casino. So when you went back to your room you were really getting away from it all - yet you were blocks from the best shopping and restaurants in the world. Loved it!

This hotel is very nice. It lacks the amenities that you may be used to in Vegas like a casino, a lounge, etc. There is a bar in the front but it doesn't feel right and it is very close to the reception desk. I did not get to see the restaurants but the menus looked good. The rooms were spectacular and the service was nice. They have a security guard at the entrance to the elevators who checks for your room key in order for you to go upstairs. This is both safe and annoying. It is non smoking which is nice. Location isn't that great. It is just close enough to the strip that you feel guilty taking a cab and just far enough that the walk isn't that great especially late at night. Good position to the mall though.

Hates: 1) Towels were shredded around the edges. 2) Resort fee shouldn't have one unless they just took it as a tip fee for all hands, some did good some not so much. 3) Toilet is is plastic?!? Really! 4) Should have ice machine in every room verses a stove or toaster, they are cheap now so no reason to walk down the hall looking for ice! 5) Depended upon day as to the help we received. Weekday no issues leaving on a Sat we had long waits for help. Likes: 1) Spa tubs inevery room. 2) TV in mirror in bathroom. 3) Views 4) Thread count on sheets and puffy mattress. (Although did at times feel like a pin cushion, down does that!) 5) decor and fresh smell of room no cigerette smoke! 6) Door man was helpful with ideas to go eat! 7) Lobby was wonderful and classy Although I would have liked a small casino floor off to the side closer than across at another casino! But not as I checked in, so I did appreciate the none clutter.

I've stayed at a number of expensive hotels before in Las Vegas and elsewhere and I have never had such a good experience as I had at the Trump. The room was more spacious than it looked in the photos, it was in superb condition, and was exceptionally pleasent to relax in. Room service was timely and polite as well as the in-room dining. The hotel staff were very warm and welcoming on arrival and were able to help me secure a limo with great speed and efficieny. I will not stay at any other hotel from now on when I go to Vegas, the Trump is most definetly the way to go.

Excellent service, good size rooms, amazing baths, amazing strip views (especially in the high floors), high quality/contemporary furnishings. I felt secure and cared for at all times. Helpful and polite concierge with quick answers for my questions. Only negative in my book is the valet-only parking, while I suppose it adds a touch of class...I just wanna park my own car and not have to wait in line to drop my car off (during busy hours).

Rented two rooms. One the phones would only work on speaker. In the other room the jets in the tub didn't work and our friends found womens underwear in the closet. The area around the hotel is under construction with dirt lots on two sides. The third side is strip joints and freeway and, the fourth side, across the street is a huge mall. The inside the hotel and it's compound is awesome. Very luxurious and impressive. With the minor incoviences this was still a fantastic hotel. We would stay here again. If you get the chance, stay here.

Very classy hotel. Beautiful and spacious lobby, attentive staff, great pool and poolside food/drinks. The room was terrific. For those of you who are really sensitive, there was a subtle noise that you would hear throughout the day/evening which I'm pretty sure was the air pressure of the hotel's elevator system. It didn't bother us, but it was present. Our room was closest to the elevator, so others may not notice it. The hotel is right across the street from Fashion Show Mall. The hotel's location relative to others is very odd, about a 5 minute or so walk to the strip. I highly recommend it.

I had no problem with the Valet only parking but some patron's may be turned off by this when staying since everytime you leave and come back you have that obligated factor of tipping though its your decision and of course I do, but gets expensive for some.. Service is excellent as well as accomendations, city view is a little to be desired on lower levels when you have a north view (air conditioning units). I would stay again but would do the strip view on higher level.

As far as the room goes it was great, as far as the service goes it was bad! Every time we called either the reception desk or the concierge no one would answer EVER! Asked the concierge to make us a dinner reservation (in person) and it was never made. Housekeeping doesn't really care that it says "do not disturb". The icing on the cake is when I got my car back from valet and they broke the electric side panel to my adjustable seat. The valet department didn't care and had me fill out some bogus report with security who cared equally as much. I really wanted to like this place but my whole experience from start to finish was bad. For that kind of money STAY SOMEWHERE ELSE!

I found nut shells on my floor and room service did not pick up my tray after 2 requests for over 24 hours. Housekeeping serviced my room when I had the do not disturb sign lit. I was very disappointed. Normally the service is good; the hotel is too new to have these issues.
