I only stayed here one night, but this would be a great place to bring a family, and stay for several days. The 2-bedroom condo was clean and comfortable, loved the gas fireplace, comfortable bed, and the kitchen was handy. Access to the units is a little inconvenient -- lots of steps to go up and down, especially if you're on the back side. But the location is great, just outside Banff, and just a 3 minute drive to Canmore.

I called the hotel when I made the reservation and they informed me that the previous wifi problem had been solved. When I arrived, the in room wifi could connect but was so slow that it was unusable. The manager said that the wifi had been upgraded and worked well on his phone. But, the wfi access stopped from the room and was even slow in the lobby. One day the wifi did not work anywhere but I suspect they were upgrading the system. During the last 24 hours, the wifi was OK in the lobby but still unacceptable in the room. For two days we had to go to McDonalds in Banff to access the Internet. I trade stocks and there is daily maintenance of the account if one wants to succeed. But, the staff were so nice. I could tell that they were empathetic but the solution was out of their hands. The walls are thin. The parking lot was flooded.

"beautiful"
This hotel is really nice and my room had a great view of the 3 Sisters mtn range. My only complaint is how thin the walls and ceiling are - I could hear the people next door pretty clearly and the kids above me were running a marathon. I know this is out of people's control but maybe next time the builder can put a little more stuff inbetween the […] walls. Read more
"Very pleasant stay"
Great getaway place to stay, away from the hustle and bustle of the town of Banff, but still within a reasonable distance. Hotel staff was courteous and accommodating, and the rooms are very pleasant. Love the full kitchens and amenities provided. Wish we could stay longer!

This hotel room was more than I expected. I had a room with two double beds and a small kichenette (fully stocked). There was also an electic fireplace which was a nice touch and also a deck that placed the pool with a grill! The location is very convenient as Canmore isn't a big town and the hotel is close to just about everything. "Beautiful place to stay"
The view from our balcony was spectacular, when it wasn't raining and clouds obscured the mountains. I can't blame the hotel for the weather, but we were stuck indoors about half the time we were in Canmore, so there was ample time to review the features of our hotel suite. The room had good features: gas BBQ on the balcony, washer/dryer in the kitchen. […] Kitchen was well stocked with appliances. Good sized living and bedroom areas. Two TV's. Bathroom was adequate. The negatives of the room: 1) There wasn't really much reading light, and we needed reading light because we did a lot of reading. My wife sat on the couch and had a lamp alongside. One more lamp on the other end of the couch would have been great. I generally sat on the balcony bundled up because of the cold weather. 2) Sound insulation was fairly poor, and once the rain stopped, the hot tub did a brisk business until about 11:00 each night. Other downside is that it really isn't a hotel, but a converted condo complex, so there is no common lobby area or a change of pace from the room on a rainy day. There is a Vietnamese restaurant on the premises, open 5 days a week from 11 AM to 10 PM. The food and service there are quite good, but it doesn't quite meet the requirements of an onsite restaurant because of the limited hours/days. Plus, there is no other restaurant or bar within walking distance when the weather is against you. Although I probably wouldn't stay there again, I would recommend it to families, older couples, and groups. Read more

Just 15 minutes outside of Banff. Located in the town of Canmore which was very quiet and had convenient stores and restaurants. Friendly staff with very tiny lobby. Underground parking was easy and free.

Great location and amenities. However, access to underground parking is awkward for larger/longer vehicles. Upgrading from a normal room to a one bedroom suite is definitely the way to go for a couple. Would like to try out their two bedroom suites another time. "Would stay again but don't count on the WiFi"
The only problem we had was a weak WiFi signal in our room. It worked ok in the lobby but not very convenient. If you really need to be on line this may not be your best bet. Better to leave the computer home anyway!
We were very pleased with our stay. The suite was spacious, the kitchen was well-equipped, and everything was very clean. The staff was helpful and willing to offer any help needed. We also had a balcony with a nice view of the mountains.

"Beautiful place!"
It was a great place to stay, with magnificient view of the mountains, we enjoyed the hot tub outside. There was only pay internet access in the lobby! We love to see a bible in the room's dresser but found none in this motel, pretty sad!

Beautiful suite. The friendly young lady at the reception desk was very pleasant and helpful which made the first impression great. Suite was clean, quiet and comfortable. No negative feedback at all. The only thing missing for us was acceptance of pets. Normally when we travel we bring our two dogs. This was a rare occasion that we left them with family. Liked: Very nice & clean. Great location, on corner of Kananaskis Way and Hwy 1A, easy access to Hwy 1, Canmore shopping. Really liked the kitchen, fully furnished (stove/oven, microwave, toaster, full-sized fridge, dual sink), also made daily use of the gas grill on the balcony. Saved ton of money preparing all meals "at home". Clogged toilet was promptly […] repaired. Didn't Like: No garbage disposal in kitchen sink. Walls are a bit thin; bring earplugs. Living room TV is mounted way too high (above the tall fireplace). Views: Beware advertised claims of views (e.g. Three Sisters) - new buildings on formerly empty lots to north and south obstruct views; only units facing Hwy 1A have clear views. All interior units face courtyard with great fishbowl views (i.e. your neighbors' balconies), but upper floors get partial views of mountains on east side of Bow Valley. Read more
"Great room BUT"
We booked a one bedroom suite with pull out sofa bed for the kids who are 13 & 15 years old. The suite was great with all the mod cons required including TV's,CD player etc...Large enough for all 4 of us and very comfortable. The Vietnamese restaurant did not suit our children so we did not use it. Neither did we use the hot tubs which were small and […] poorly positioned.The only real gripe I have is, when we got to the room there was a "building site " right outside our window. Now these were the quietest builders I've ever come across but at no time during our 4 day stay did anyone from the Hotel ask us if we were happy with the room or mention the building work. In this day and age a top class hotel should atleast inform you of problems and enquire about any difficulties. All in all the stay was a good one and I would stay here again. Read more

We upgraded from a deluxe room to a two bedroom suite upon check in. The suite was beautiful and very comfy. Front desk personnel were very helpful and friendly.

We had a one bedroom suite. It was a very nice room, and the layout of the room was easy to get around. The bed was very comfortable except for the sheets/blanket on the bed. It was a pretty good value for the money! We would recommend this hotel?

"Almost Great"
Bed and pillows were too soft, we sunk into the bed and we're very light people. The temperature control in the room was not very efficient and took several hours to lower the temperature to a comfortable sleeping temp. Other than this everything was very clean and tidy! Lots of available amenities within the room like washer and dryer.

"Nice family hotel-few minor issues"
Just stayed for 3 nights at the Falcon Ridge. Lovely hotel with huge bathrooms. The granite counters are a nice touch. The fire place was lovely too. My only real complaint is that they give you very little dishes and stuff to cook with. Our kitchen had only 2 little pots and exactly 4of each dish (4 plates, small bowls,mugs, spoons, etc.). If you wanted […] to cook an actual meal, you are out of luck. If you used a spoon for coffee and then wanted one for cereal and there are 4 of you staying there, it's inconvenient. Minor complaints: My kids complained that the sofa bed was pretty uncomfortable. You do hear the trains going by at night, as you are near the railway but it's not too bad unless you have the windows open. And the hot tubs are clean but tiny. You do get a great view of the hotel next door which has a huge outdoor heated pool, which we can't use, much to my kids' dismay. We might stay at that hotel next time. Read more

My wife and I stayed at the Falcon Crest Lodge recently and the stay was wonderful. The staff is very courteous and helpful. We wanted to stay in a room that we had stayed in prior and they happily made the arrangements for us. We highly recommend staying here, you will not be disappointed.

Good solid hotel, the only reason we would not probably stay here again was because of the location of the hot tub. There was a small hot tub and it was located between the lobby and the parking lot, not much a view. Other than that I would like to state the customer service was outstanding. "loved this hotel"
it was a beautiful spot and the room was very nice. If your staying in Canmore, bring earplugs if your a light sleeper as there are trains through the town all night. There is no way around this even for the most expensive hotels. I loved this place and will go back.

This is a great hotel for a great rate!! I will definitely stay there again! We went for a ski weekend with our two kids and got an adjoining room with our friends (and their child). The room itself is clean and well-kept, the hottub is wonderful and the service was also amazing! I highly recommend this hotel!

"I love this hotel"
The room we had was so awesome. It was clean, huge and better than my actual apartment at home! We had such a nice view of the mountains (we didn't even have to pay extra for it - we just lucked out) and we had a deck that was sort of hidden in the building so we didn't freeze when we went outside to BBQ our steaks. The only negative things about the […] hotel was that the couch in the living room was the worst and most uncomfortable couch I have ever sat on, the TV was so old I couldn't connect my computer to it, and it was relatively small and the one more private hot tub was so dirty (we actually stunk so bad that we had no choice but to shower to wash off afterwards). Asides from that, it was such an amazing place. The bathroom was so awesome and I love that there was a washer and dryer and the bathtub was enormous! Front desk and hospitality staff were friendly and very helpful. Hotel is in a central, convenient location. Had to call the front desk twice for maintenance on a three day stay. Room had a connecting door to the next room which made it noisy.

Wonderful suprise when entered the room. Very nicely set up for bedrooms and bathrooms. Loved the kitchen/great room. Thoroughly enjoyed the Hot Tub.

Spend 1 night Feb 18th at Falcon Crest. Very friendly at check in, comfortable room with a fridge and microwave. Did not use the hot tub. I have no hesitation recommending Falcon Crest to friends.

Overall very pleased with the hotel and its room. However, watch the underground parking entrance and exit. It is as tight as is absolutely possible. It is really only not a issue for cars. My pickup had to make a 3 poijnt turn just to get in or out. The height clearance was fine but way to narrow. As well, the room was nice but for the 'Deluxe" with […] a kitchenette and living room, they should at least have a king size bed. Great and friendly staff and very clean. Read more
