"Las Olas Beach resort in Panama"
The hotel has seen better days. The pool furniture was in poor repair, and the landscaping needed attention. Just a little investment in time and materials would pay big dividends. The beach had trash in the sand, someone needs to rake it occassionally. However, the biggest problem was the lack of attention by the housekeeping staff. The bathroom walls, […] light switches, and shower were dirty. Inexcusable. Also. the bathroom light was so dim, a woman would not be able to do makeup. The doors had no deadbolt, so anyone with a key can gain access, at any time. Read more
"Las Olas Beach Resort"
Pros : The resort is very beautiful and well maintained. The restaurant offers an excellent variety of choices in food and wine. Cons : It is a little on the expensive side, the rooms are not as large as I had hoped, and it is very difficult to find from David. Once you find the correct road, there are signs to guide you, but any sort of sign on the […] highway would make a huge difference. Read more
"Overpriced but nice hotel"
We stayed a few years ago for half the price. Rooms were a bit more run down this time and paying double didn't seem right. Location on the beach and pools were still great.
"Las Olas OFF SEASON"
Located aprox. 30 minutes outside of David , Panama on the Pacific coast, this resort is very isolated. This is a great place to go to if you want a quite , secluded resort , especially when we were there during the rainy / off season in July 2011. We stayed 10 nights , which was a bit long, but we wanted to explore the areas around David, Boquete, […] Volcan, in search of a rent house to serve as a home base for our future travels in Central America. The cab ride into David takes 30 minutes each way at a cost of ~ $ 25 USD each way. Have the desk call you a cab. There is only 1 restaurant located on the property, which serves just adequate fare. The staff was friendly and seemed eager to please upon request. There are buses that run from the front gate twice in the AM and at least once in the evening for ~ $ 3 USD per / person / per 3 hour ( THEY MAKE FREQUENT STOPS ) trip.into David, where you can catch a bus to Boquete, Volcan , etc.. BUT , you will need to speak some Spanish, or know key words and phrases. The beach at Las Olas is somewhat DANGEROUS due to the large waves coming in and the RIP TIDE , but we did see allot of the locals, who come out on the weekend, in the water about 50 feet out and some were even 100 yards out surfing. The sand is a course black sand allot like blasting sand , that can get quite hot. We think there are sand fleas on the beach as we noticed many small red bite marks from our knees down, not with welts like a mosquito bites , and we seemed to get more spots every time we went down to the beach for our walks. Nice place for a short visit , especially if you want seclusion. Read more
Nice place. Not 5 stars as stated, but quite good for the price. The staff is very helpful, good food, good amenities. We had 3 enjoyable days on the beach. Apart from the beach there is not much to do.
"Great beach resort"
We loved the resort with the amenities and service. However, if you are looking for a quick overnight stay, this resort is 32 km off the main highway and there's no recommended short cut to gain time or km's. But for a vacation, this resort is highly recommended for it's beach location with direct access to the beach, tranquility that surrounds it and […] the amenities it provides for children and adults in mind. "Needs Improvement"
The hotel although beachfront and well priced (Aug.) felt short of my expectations. First of all upon our arrival, we unpacked and started to shower when I realized that the water was not draining well and there were mosquitos in the room. We called and we were relocated to another room 2 doors down. That room had no mosquitos, but the shower drainage […] was worse. Anyway we decided to rough it out since we were not about to repack again. The towels they provided were once white, but now a greyish beige with some even having orange stains. That for me was the biggest turn-off. They provide water, but it's not complimentary. They claimed there was a sign, but I did not see one in either rooms. Additionally, the beach is beautiful to look at if you overlook all the driftwood that was washed ashore, but not safe to swim in. Read more
"Ghost Town"
Checking in on a Friday night, we were very surprised to find that this place was deserted, no other guests, maybe 120 rooms, and nobody. Nothing worked, television, cable, internet, etc

"Hotel Las Olas, al borde del mar"
El hotel es estupendo para descansar y pasarse el día todo disfrutando de sus instalaciones. El restaurante es bueno, aunque un poco caro.

"mooi rustig"
goed hotel, lekker rustig aan het strand. Goed lang strand voor rustige liggen of strandwandelingen. Voor degenen die meer drukte zoeken, kan het een beetje te ver van David afliggen, zo'n 25 km.
"Vacations but not for business"
Right next to the beach but 20 - 30 min ride from David.
