The Origin at Seahaven is such a beautiful hotel, the location is perfect, it's super clean, and the pool is INCREDIBLE!!! We stayed early May and the weather was perfect, the beach was not crowded and our stay was absolutely perfect. :D We will be staying there again!

We paid 118 dollar cleaning fee, which was not explained to me but was in fine print on the paperwork and to top it all off they did not even clean the room until after we left... so my question is WHAT WAS THE 118 DOLLAR CLEANING FEE FOR? This was my second time staying at Origin. It was during bike week, so it was a little congested getting out of the parking deck, but that was expected almost anywhere. Everything went great. Will stay here again.

The room was ok for a few nights but staff was not friendly at all during checkin or checkout at the condo. Hotel.com lied to me when making reservations and I had to pay more fees when I checked in and the room was not beach front like they said.

Hotel was fine. It was a negative that the hotel charged an additional charge to clean the room. On a 2 night stay, we were charged $95 cleaning fee at the time of checkin. Hotels.com does not tell you there is a cleaning fee of $140 for 3 bedrooms or a mandatory insurance fee of $40. This would have been ok, if the room you checked into was cleaned and maintained. However, the room was dirty with broken chairs, worn out beds and smelt bad. Former resident of panama city beach. We had stayed here previously four years ago and enjoyed our stay. This time we booked through hotels.com and charged one price. Upon arriving, room was not cleaned, ice machine broken and we were charged $113 cleaning fee for one night stay. This should have been clarified before booking!

There was an extra cleaning fee of $113 after I had already paid online. Scam. Plus- the pullout couch bed sucked! Dirty, lumpy, and uncomfortable. We ended up sleeping on the floor. they also have a coffee maker and no coffee? Really? cheap-o's! Needless to say, I was not a happy camper.

Did not appreciate having to pay additional charges when I checked in - I was charged a cleaning fee and a damage fee. Why did I have to pay damage charges, when I had not caused any damages? This place was rented to us and we were not told about a "spring break" fee and a "cleaning fee" to the total of 110$ on top of the 140$ for the room. We were TD it was on the beach and it is not. We arrived at our destination the Origin at Seahaven with only a minimal amount of changes from our last stay - had to walk across the street to the new main office to register and retrieved our room keys - no big deal, got to the room fine and thought we were getting a room facing the beach but it was a room that with a little ease we could see the […] beach from the balcony and from our bedroom window - well a little view of the beach anyway... the room was very comfortable and provided a full kitchen, worth the little extra money to get the 1 bedroom as compared to a studio room with just a kitchenette. Centrally located to just about everything.... really enjoyed our stay and we are looking forward to staying at the Origin again soon.... didn't realize the pool was heated if we had known we might have tried to enjoy the pool as well, just wasn't into the cold air running from the pool to the lobby freeze... We had stayed at this facility for a few years ago. Since then management has change and located across the street from the hotel. This is also where you need to check in and not at the front desk which is another management company. What hotels.com fails to tell you in pricing this hotel (which is really condo rental) is that there is an addition fee […] upon arrival. Our cost doubled!!! We arrived late in the evening and too exhausted to hunt down a lower cost option. After registering we parked the car in the attached parking garage. As we took the elevator up to our room my wife was disgusted to find a tampon in the elevator. Corridor carpets needed updating. The room was clean, all systems worked, and we had a great view of the beach. To get additional towels the management company from across the street had to deliver them, which took over 20 minutes to arrive. There was no meal options and ice/ vending was on first floor. Overall excellent stay. The only negative was a motion sensor in the room that shut off the air conditioning after not sensing movement. This made the nights get a bit stuffy.

Although the hotel itself was ok, I was very unhappy to learn upon checking in that the hotel had its own non-refundable deposit and cleaning rates. These ending up costing the same amount as the total rate I though I had paid. Upon looking at my receipt, it did say that the hotel would charge this amount, but it was never referenced before I paid.

This was a condo not a hotel. It was perfect for our needs. Very clean efficiency with a very comfortable king size bed and pull out sleeper sofa. Perfect for a family of 4. It was also very quiet. Big bathroom. Across the street from the beach. Overall, a great place to stay.

My wife and I stayed here for our honeymoon and even tho it wasn't as nice as expected it was still pleasant overall. When reserving this room online we thought it was actually on the beach. Also, when we arrived at Origins we thought we just checked in at the front desk. This wasn't so. We had to go across the street to this other small building to […] finish up and receive our keys. We must not have read the small print that well because the lady across the street charged us another hundred dollars for a cleaning fee and safety deposit for damages to the room. She informed us we would not have daily cleaning or towels brought over, that if we needed anything we would have to call their number... etc. This wasn't a major issue either whatsoever just a little dissappointing. Our balcony was supposed to be a beach view, and IT WAS, but it was on the side. Don't get me wrong it was still beautiful, especially at night. Like stated earlier it was definitely a wonderful trip and nice stay just not what was expected. For the price I would recommend this to anyone and would consider staying here again. the hotel was okay. front desk sucks. room service sucks too. we called over 10 times to get some towels and we got no answer at all. Shark's the bar in front of the hotel is no good too. if your hungry and you wanna eat go to (FRED'S) its not far but the prices are great and service is amazing and over all of that THE FOOD IS AMAZING.
