"A picture lies a thousand words."
Pictures are extremely deceiving. You will pay a one hundred and fifty dollar cleaning fee for an already dirty room. You will also encure a fourty dollar non-refundable, fee for damages. "Beautiful view from the pool"
The hotel was very beautiful and clean. The beach is across the street, so it is possible to have ocean view from the room, but there is still a little walk required to get to the beach. Allow plenty of time for checking out, waiting on the elevator can be a nightmare for the high rise hotels. Overall, great place to stay. The view from the pool area […] is beautiful. Carpet throughout the hotel is so dirty! As well in the room. Sofa bed was horrible, my kids could feel the springs! Kitchen towels were so disgustin, bad smell. Walls were dirty. Not a very clean hotel. Staff are not very helpful. Overall a very bad experience and hopefully someone will read this and do something about itGenuine Expedia guest review
Lots of extra charges added to room cost, broken item in condo. Workers using saw at 8 am. Staff not too helpful or nice. Room had no furniture .... Misrepresented in pictures.Genuine Expedia guest review
"It was convenient to go places"
First off, the hide a bed was broken on one side, and on the other side the matress had a tear in it. The scene from the balcaony overlooked a swampy looking area and the air conditioner. From the pictures we had thought we would be on the beach. Last but not least by any means, there was over a $100 cleaning fee, whether we left the room clean or not. […] I explained we are resort owners, and always leave the room clean, have never paid a cleaning fee before, they said everyone has to pay it. Over all, I would have preferred to stay at a hotel, I never thought I would ever say that. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Stayed for a week end. Hotel, room, beach were great. The only thing I found wrong was the elevators were super slow. And they charged a extra 125. For some cleaning fee. They charged that before I even got in the room.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Quiet loft above the sand"
I was pleased with the layout and cleanliness of the place. Access was quick to all elevators. I had no problems keeping my bicycles inside the room. The space was very quiet and sedate. The furniture and overall design was well suited for my needs. Check in and check out were fast and pleasant. I hope to obtain another stay here next summer. This was […] worth the effort and modest cost. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
I was slightly mislead when I made this reservation. I was under the impression or assumed that "Oceanview" meant "on the ocean". No...this hotel is across Fromt Beach Road and NOT on the beach. They did have a walkway for their own beach access which was appreciated. Check-in was a nightmare. We had no instruction on which set of elevators (there are […] 3-4 sets of elevators) to use to get to our room. We ended up across the hotel from where we needed to be with a cart full of luggage. The carpets are about 15 years old, full of stains, and need to be replaced. The walls need to be painted and scrubbed. It just was not very clean especially with the extra amount I pad for a cleaning fee. I did enjoy the size of the room as it was quite spacious. Overall the hotel worked for what we needed it for (Bachelorette Party), but I wouldn't stay again. Too many other hotels that are better quality on the beach for roughly the same price. The $115.00 cleaning and damage fee needs to be included, so the customer doesn't end up paying double the room price unexpectedly.Genuine Expedia guest review
I didn't think it was worth the cost especially when you added in the additional 120 bucks "cleaning fee" that was due upon check-in. The room was tiny so not sure why it even warranted a "cleaning fee". Not to mention, it was cleaned one time while we were there. Checking in and getting towels was also a pain as the office was across the street instead […] of downstairs as they managed the sites across the street. It was a hassle to get towels each day. The pool was also very small and didn't have enough chairs for as big of site. The access cards rarely worked. The kids eat free coupons were nice but weren't valid with appetizers even though the appetizers cost more than a few of the entrees. The TV was an old square box and there was no "oven". Inconvenient registration across the street and not very nice staff. Did not like the separate cleaning fee...totally caught me off guard, as it was in addition to the room rate . We had supposed exclusive beach access, but has to 40.00 for the beach chairs! Room itself was awesome...only saving grace for this rental. "Never again, and I'm not a cpmplainer"
Two words: Stay Away. This building was built in 2007 amd it looks like it was built in 1980. The pictures on the website look beautiful but this place is ghetto. To check in you have to go across the street. Our two bedroom, two bath place that we booked on hotels.com was actually two seperate rooms. Flat screen TV's? The TV's are the huge TV's circa […] 1985. When I asked the front desk about this, the guy said they do have a flat screen...After paying for the room and additional fees online, expect to receive a $130 cleaning bill and a non-refundable $40 fee for damage. I talked to a woman on the beach who owns a unit, and she said she hates staying in her own unit. You better plan on leaving super early on check out day. They only have two luggage carts and the elevators are a joke. I am not a complainer by nature, but this is the worst place I have ever stayed at. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Worst Place EVER"
I did not read any reviews until after I paid in advance. A HUGE mistake. First of all, the check in clerks are not friendly or helpful. I had to ask where to park. The parking deck is a joke. It is very confusing. The arrows are all faded, so you will more than likely miss a turn. When we got off the elevator, my boys and I thought the same thing "this […] reminds me of the hotel in the Shinning". At first glance, the room seems nice. Then we discovered the sheets on the bed were dirty and the fold out sofa bed still had the sheets from the previous guest. We decided to go to the beach across the street, but you need your room key to open the door to get to the beach. The check in clerk failed to tell us that. The ONLY thing the check in clerk did mention to me was if you need anything just dial 0. Don't bother dialing 0 because no one will answer. I am not a very picky person, but this place is not very clean. The description of my room was a washer and dryer and a refrigerator. Did not have one. Just a mini fridge. Please also know that when you do get there you will be paying at least $100 or more for taxes, cleaning and reservation fees. By the time you add all that in, you might as well stay at the Holiday Inn on the beach. Which by the way, has great service and a hot breakfast. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Origin has changed for the WORSE! Stay Away!"
We couldn't have been more disappointed by our most recent stay. The property was filthy. The elevator buttons were coated in a film of grime & one elevator even had a racial slur scratched into it that remained visible for our entire stay. The trash cans in the hallways were all overflowing & the carpeting was absolutely filthy, they need to be ripped […] up & replaced throughout the building. Light fixtures & sconces were crooked & many were missing their covers completely- leaving wiring & bulbs exposed. Our hallway was never vacuumed, a crushed cherio that was in front of our door upon check-in was still there upon check-out a week later. Inside of the unit: curtains were either missing or barely hanging. The couch was covered with crumbs. Mold was growing inside of the showers. Bedding was dingy & questionable. Red pasta sauce was splattered in the fridge. TV didn't work & after a visit by maintenance & being told by mngt that "there's nothing that we can do" I discovered that the coax was simply connected improperly and fixed the problem myself. Room phone didn't work. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
I reserved a condo on Expedia that had full kitchen, living room, and a bedroom. When I got there, they put me in a studio with a kitchenette. When I complained to the staff they were rude and stated that I need to pay an additional $110 for what I already reserved. The new room we got was "ok". They were pretty cheap on a few things such as toilet […] paper as they only gave 1 roll at a time. I had to walk down to the office in order to get more toilet paper, trash bags, and fresh towels. "Read the fine print"
When booking our family trip to PCB for July 2013, I read over ALL possible rooms/hotels that could accommodate our family of six, and I am glad I did. Settled on Origin at Seahaven, a two bd/2bath condo, with a full kitchen. The check in process was annoying. One lady working the desk, long line, and their computers were down. The man in front of me […] at check-in was a poor fellow who didn't read the fine print. He thought he was booked at the 'luxury' hotel that Origin owns which we stayed in. He didn't. I'll agree with him that the information here is slightly misleading. Yes, he booked a condo, BUT it was not the one he thought he'd be getting. Just make sure when booking that you read over the details. If the price sounds too good to be true for a luxury rental, it probably is. Origin owns three properties there. Double check that you are getting the right one, DO NOT go off of pictures online as reference like this man did. Our room: The hotel is okay. When I hear the word 'luxury' I think five star. I'd give this place a three star rating. For the cleaning fee I paid, on top of my rental fees, I thought it'd be spotless. Nope. Food debris on the ceiling in the kitchen. Unwashed dishes placed back in cabinets. Floor needed a vacuuming. Mirrors were dirty. I read beforehand that parking costs money, it didn't. This place is centered in a nice location, that was my favorite detail of this hotel. We enjoyed our trip, but I think if we go back, I'd stay elsewhere Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
We enjoyed our stay here, but it was missing a few common necessities. Apparently their ice machice was out so we had to buy ice. They also required you to call and ask for extra linems and towels. There was a little confusion as to where we needed to check in and could have been indicated more clearly. There was an issue on Sunday morning while trying to load the car and check out with the elevators. It was taking 15 minutes or more to get an elevator. I had to drag luggage down the stairs in order to load my vehicle then my handicapped parents […] had to stand in the hall waiting for an elevator for 15 minutes because we had to check out and there were no elevators. We had a great time at Origin of Seahaven. We didn't like that there were no drawers in the room for our clothes. We had to live out of our suit cases the entire trip. "Don't be deceived!!!"
Don't be deceived by the online pictures. This hotel was not at all what we expected. First of all upon arrival you will be charged an additional fee for "cleaning fees and insurance"...this was not disclosed online. At no point during our 4 night stay did any one come and clean our room. The carpets in the hallways of the hotel were filthy and smelled […] mildewed. We had to take out our own trash and the areas where the trash receptacles were located stunk. Our room was supposedly for 4 people but there is only a small pull out couch and it was way too small and had a thin uncomfortable matress...thank goodness we decided to take an inflatable matress just in case. We were stuck in the hotel a lot due to rain and had plenty of time to look around. We were very disappointed in how deceived we were. We spent entirely too much money for our stay and zero service! This hotel is across the street from the beach...not beachfront so there is no need to pay for a view because you won't get it. There is not a restaurant on site so do not expect room service. Overall, we would not stay here again...lesson learned! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
We booked through Expedia and thought that was the end of our purchase. When we got to the hotel they made us check in across the street and nobody was friendly or inviting. Location was nice, although the Origin is across the street from the beach and associated beach-front property does not have a pool on the beach. There is no daily room service unlesss you call for it, and then expect to call at least twice. There are no towels provided at the pool. Expected a room with two beds, instead got a queen and a fold out sofa. […] The fold out sofa was very uncomfortable. Room did not have an ocean or view of pool area. Elevators were extremely hard to get, and did not seem to work at all times. Was not one of the cleanest or best maintained hotels/condos where I have stayed. Kitchenette was small and had a dorm room sized refrigerator. Saw lots of out-of service signs on vending and gaming equipment. There are nicer rooms available, but ours was not one of the nicer rooms. In short, not a good value for the money, and would not stay there again. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

Our stay at Origins is the very worst experience we have ever had! We have stayed in some amazing places and some not so amazing and this stay at Origins was by far the worst!!!!! The front desk staff during the day was awful, Josee in particular was so beyond rude, she could not tell us a check in time for our room, she did not greet us at all when […] we walked in, and once we came back so we could check in she literally threw our check in package at us over the counter!!!!
