Great room for the price.

Pretty hotel with great service.

I stayed 2 nights and thought it was an excellent hotel at a great price - the lobby area is very tidy yet welcoming, my room was in outstanding condition (yes, the beds are on the firm side but I happen to like them that way), my bathroom was very clean and hassle-free (the shower pressure/temperature were great), and the staff were all very friendly and helpful (but not in an overbearing way). The free wi-fi and public computers in the lobby were much appreciated, and the breakfast was quite good as well. The only area of improvement I would suggest is the pool - I thought the water didn't seem as clean as I would like, but it also doesn't help that it's lined with dark cobalt blue tiles.

This is a GREAT hotel!!! Nearly all the reviews were good that's why we chose this hotel... and we were NOT at all disappointed! The staff was great, the breakfast awesome and the hotel in top shape! One person gave this hotel a bad review (now we know it's not the hotel!), but we can tell you there is absolutely a lot to enjoy about this hotel. I am a frequent travel for both business and pleasure and have stayed in modest to 5-star hotels. This one is certainly an excellent one. We will definitely stay here again on our next visit! In fact, I encouraged many of our friends to stay at this hotel.

excellent service, great location

It was like 5* hotel, everything was fine and crews were incredible. Only one disadvantage hotel has; it is not in walking distance to the city. But, when compare with the price of the room it means nothing how much you are paying for tuck tuck or taxi which is not more than 3 dolar.

We stayed in this hotel at the end of our month long trip around Cambodia and Laos. We got the hotels.com offer and were amazed on how a good deal it was. The hotel itself is beautiful and when they realized it was our honeymoon, decorated our room nicely and left us a nice cake. It's not as close to the town's center as other hotels that it has to offer, so you have to consider taking a tuk tuk each time you go dining or shopping at the center, but is one of the closest hotels to the entrance of Angkor wat (like 4 km away, you'll also need a bike or a tuk tuk for this). They lend bikes and umbrellas, in case you need them.

We selected the Tara based on the website, and we were not entirely disappointed. The hotel wants to be high class and of the boutique type, but in fact it does not succeed, at least not entirely. The decor of the lobby and of the other common areas is neat and modern, designed to impress. However the rooms are quite small with very little storage space. Our towels had big mended holes, and the temperature of the water in the shower was erratic, going from warm to scalding to cold without us touching the controls. The breakfast buffet was quite good, and the best thing was staff, who were very courteous and pleasant. That is until I informed them (with two days' notice) that I wanted to leave one day early, at which point they told me that practically the policy was of no refunds. The neighborohood is good, and it is convenient to visiting Angkor Wat; and by the way at the spa next door ("City Spa" which is not part of the hotel) I got the best tradidtional massage ever. So all in all I cannot complain, as I got my money's worth, but if/when I will go back I will try a different hotel.

Tara Angkor is a good hotel that offers you lots of facilities. I really appreciate his meals , reasonable prices and very tasty! Great value! Lea

This hotel offers great value for money. Location is convient, the breakfast, free lobby internet and hotel transfer are just great additional extra's. Its clean and looks pretty contempary inside.

there was some challenges to the communication via the phone and internet but once we got to the hotel...everything was over the top. the breakfast was excellent, location was on the main road to Ankor, we were near the markets...staff was incredible and accommodating. I have traveled around the world and I am very impressed. I would return to hotel.

What can I say, this hotel was fantastic (especially at our price of £22 per night with free nights included). The staff, food, room, services all really exceeded expectation. It is within a 10 mins of Angkor Wat by slow tuk tuk. The hotel is only a couple of years old and they have gone all out to ensure that the staff are welcoming and everyone always spoke (even the maids!). The pool is nice but we only got to it a could of times, the roms were always clean and the ususal services offered by a 5 start hotel, the give free internet in the lobby area.

Good, quiet location as it is on the road to Angkor. The whole staff was very kind and accommodating. The room was very clean. Loved the pool, and the breakfast buffet was delicious with several dishes to choose from. Highly recommended hotel.

Service was spectacular. Everyone was very cheerful from the doorman to the front desk and everyone in between. Even the room cleaners would say hello and joke with you as you walk down the hall. Service was absolutely wonderful. They let you borrow a bike at no extra cost, which I used one day to ride to Angkor Wat - great bonus!

My wife and I together with another couple stayed at this hotel for 3 nights as part of a 30 day tour of Asia. In all we stayed at 9 different hotels in Thailand and Cambodia and we would estimate the Tara Angkor to have been the very best of all in terms of overall excellence. The hotel is spacious, modern and well situated for sight seeing and the town. The service was excellent, the staff very helpful, the hotel impecably clean. All in all, it raises the bar for shear value for money. I have been travelling globally both on business and pleasure for 30 years and I could not think of another hotel which offers better value for money than this hotel !! Our only regret is that our schedule did not allow us to stay longer. We shall definitely return.

I was surprised that the hotel did not have copies (or at least one copy) of the local map. Without a map it was difficult for the hotel staff to provide suggestion on sightseeing itinerary and information on restaurants. We arrived just before Christmas and during registration were told that there would be a compulsory Christmas gala dinner for US $30 each. This condition was not revealed when we booked the hotel. We were happy to attend the dinner but was really annoyed that it was COMPULSORY. Anyway, the dinner turned out to be quite nice.

We booked it online as the pics looked good and the price was right. We couldnt believe it when we arrived, it was great. The pool was beaut and the breakfast was more than we could have asked for. Location is a little out of the city centre, but thats a good thing as Siem Reap is a pretty noisy/busy area. We didnt use them to organise any of our transport though as their in house agency was really expencive. There is a really nice restaurant adjacent to the lobby, with amazing food at cheaper than local restaurant prices, Service was A1 too - hats off to them. Overall would recommend this one to anyone prepared to pay a little more for some luxury.. guest houses get draining after a while!

We booked this hotel due to its location to the temples of Angkor Wat and were not disappointed! The hotel staff were also extremely friendly and efficient and the hotel had great facilities to satisfy our trip.

ein sehr freundlicher service, immer aufmerksam und hilfsbereit. fruehstuecksbuffet sehr gut, einschraenkungen beim restaurantessen, das wurde dann nur einmal vor ort eingenommen. sehr gute lage fuer die erkundung von angkor wat. sehr sauber und geschmackvoll, wuerde - und werde wohl - wieder hin fahren.

Accueil très agréable et prévenant dès le transfert de l'aéroport (à réserver à l' avance par email). L'hotel est très bien conçu, ila tout les attributs d'un hotel de standing. La piscine est très belle, le restaurant propose des plats excellents. La chambre de taille raisonnable était très comfortable (à noter les matelas des lits sont plutot durs). La salle de bain était superbe. En bref une chambre belle et fonctionnelle. L'hotel est bien situé, sur la route en direction des temples; il faut prendre un véhicule pour aller en centre ville, à 5 minutes.

Vanwege het laag-seizoen was het hotel grotendeels leeg, twee verdiepingen werden helemaal niet gebruikt. De service van het hotel was prima, de kamer ruim en rustig, comfort was ook in orde. Ik heb gegeten in het hotel zelf, eten smaakte me uitstekend. De gratis ophaal/breng-weg service van/naar het vliegveld is alleen maar makkelijk (wel je vluchtgegevens bijtijds doorgeven). In de lobby staan een tweetal pc's met gratis internet, altijd handig om even een paar mailtjes naar het thuisfront te sturen..

un hotel tres recent situe entre le centre ville et les sites historiques (en face du sofitel quasiment). L'hotel a un beau hall d'entree, le buffet petit dejeuner est copieux, la piscine un peu petite surtout lorsque l'hotel sera plein. Les chambres sont un peu petites mais elles sont impeccables.
