The people were very nice, helpful. Free Internet access time limited seemed a bit odd. One of the chairs was broken, but not an issue. Convenient to the Castle and motorway.

The hotel was not as new as the photos represent. This hotel is really set up for business conferences and not for tourists, so our experience was a little off from the rest of our Ireland trip. Myself, my partner and her 5 year old decided to spend a night at the Sheraton for a change of scenery. Having stayed there before we knew he would enjoy the pool .The receptionist upgraded us to a very large family room at no extra cost which was a great start. From check-in the staff were exceptionally friendly and courteous. Got a room upgrade without requesting it to an executive suite. I was attending a wedding reception so can't comment on the restaurant, but the food at the reception was excellent. Generous portions and friendly service.

Brilliant central location, near all shops and only 5 minutes walking to everything including cinema and a second shopping centre. Really enjoyed all of trip and hotel was gorgeous, staff were so helpful and friendly and the pool was lovely too. 10/10 for everything, will definitely return

I was only here for one night as I was working nearby, but I will definitely stay here again should I be working back in this area in the future. I would also very happily stay here for a leisure visit. The staff were very friendly and helpful, my room was very comfortable and clean and the food I had was good. Couldn't really fault it.

We arrived at 2.30pm and our room was not ready for check-in. We were advised that check-in is not available until 3pm and this is indicated on our booking confirmation. Indeed it is but I always find it difficult to understand why a room that is vacated at 12 noon is not ready for the next guests within a couple of hours. The layout of the hotel is […] also quite confusing as you have to take a lift to second floor to access the lifts to the 4th+ floors. The lifts to the 4th+ floors are quite some distance from the other lifts and not the easiest to find. The reception staff did not explain this adequately to us. On a positive note, the rooms are reasonably, large, are modern and clean (although we did have to request towels on the 2nd morning as the old ones were removed but not replaced) and the gym and pool area is quite good. It is located in the centre of Athlone and the parking is free for guests. Read more

Staff did an excellent job solving ibooking issue. Room was VERY nice and clean, hotel had great ambience. Pool and athletic facilities were wonderful and well attended. Breakfast was great. Walking distance to shops and restaurants. Excellent place to stay.

Family weekend (2 Adults + 1 Child) away on St Patrick's Weekend and including Mothers Day.. We had a good sized room, 2 queen beds (very comfortable!) and sofa, which was great with the 3 of us. Found staff very friendly and welcoming. It is a lovely hotel, very nicely decorated and kept very well. Location excellent as regards town and shops.
